Steve, you may want to check with Florida Game and Fish, but I am pretty sure it is illegal to release an invasive species fish or game back into the wild. Check the state laws before you do that again. Just a helpful suggestion.

It has been checked many times and it’s 100% legal to release snakeheads back into the water they were caught.
