- SRJ Rhythm Academy is a not-for-profit organization in Brisbane (Australia), that teaches students how to play the mridangam and other Carnatic percussion instruments. It is named after the late Shri Srirangarajapuram Jayaraman Iyer, a senior vidwan from the Shri Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer bani. The SRJ Remote Series showcases Carnatic music performances by vocalists and instrumentalists in a more casual setting via home recordings.

Dr Arthavan Selvanathan is a mridangam player living in Sydney and teaching primarily in Brisbane (Australia), as one of the directors of the not-for-profit organization SRJ Rhythm Academy. His gurus are (the late) Shri Srirangarajapuram Jayaraman Iyer, Shri Srirangarajapuram J Ganesh Iyer, Shri K R Ganesh Iyer and Shri Agaramangudi (Madhu) Anandhakrishnan Kailash.
