  • One of the most scenic arrivals on a port anywhere in the world, in my opinion the most beautiful city in the world. You will see everything from the entrance to the bay all the way to the pier terminal. This was on 6/27/15

Cool video. Its amazing that giant cruise ships are able and allowed to go right into the heart of Venice . On my recent med cruise I wanted to include Venice but I chose a round trip Barcelona instead. I like that you show the cruise terminal. It helps you get an idea of what to expect if you are visiting via cruise ship.

Saw the link from your Sorrento post. Did you film a walk-around of Venice? I averaged usually 6 trips a year from one end of the boot and back. In Venice, the preferred area is Jesolo, north of the city. Beachfront hotels. No land-bridge; requires a ferry ride or a very long bus, car or train ride around through Mestre..

***** Hi ... we usually cruise on Disney but are doing our first RCI cruise on Liberty of the Seas in September 2015 over in USA . I am happy with smaller ships as I am not really too bothered about entertainment / activities etc particularly on the very busy port intensive Med cruise as we will probably be too tired to do much in the evening. It is all about the itinerary and also I have got such a good deal it is really crazy not to do it. Thanks for the heads up re the food though. Look forward to more videos.
