They’ve shown they can release small patches in a day to address issues. The 20XL event where you could farm the XP in Rifts-patched in an hour. FFA idling-changed the conditions within a day. MultiVersus is just sending mixed signals as to what they can or can’t do in a short time frame, and now you’re telling me they “accidentally” coded an entire game mode preset before “fixing it” with best-of-3? Their transparency needs to be fixed, that’s what’s really bugging me
It's absurd to think *MultiVersus* devs can just tweak a character's frame data in a few minutes. Even the smallest change can take weeks. They have to test and balance it, go through approvals, and then schedule the update. The whole process typically takes 2-6 weeks, not a couple of minutes
Only exclusively PC games can do stuff like that, which is why Warframe dishes out PC patches so often and consoles have to wait months for patches. It's a result of this game being crossplay that will make things take longer to fix.
I know this is a little different but another PvP game - Heroes of ths Storm. They have released as many OP characters as you could count on your fingers (there's 90 characters in general). They have fixed everyone except Imperius - who was only OP because of the broken Q hitbox, other than that he was very fine. Most of the time they would balance the OP characters in one week or maybe two and then nobody would complain anymore. Multiversus has only 28 characters and only 5 of them are SOMEWHAT balanced. Not even balanced, SOMEWHAT balanced. And we are comparing a 5v5 MOBA to a 2v2 platform fighter. So yes, it would be possible to fix Joker in a week if PFG for example knew what frames are.
That’s a HUGE reason I stopped. Literally had one much where it lagged and my character ran off the stage and got comboed by a Superman main who did nothing but spam and I couldn’t dodge or get out of it because the buttons were unresponsive 💀
Thats pretty much how my last game ended up playing out. I just stopped playing until they release a new patch. Leading up to that was many frustrations though, getting paired with the same shit teammate 2 sets in a row, get our asses slapped in the first game, completing an absolutely carry job in the second game and eventually walking off the map in the 3rd. I really hope its fixed when Beetlejuice is out
The thing that bothers me the most is getting hit by moves when I’m behind my opponent it’s extremely annoying to dodge through a move and then get caught by a hitbox from their back mostly jacks side slash

You're thoughts were a little premature coming from the fact of yesterday's Into the Verse announcements yesterday. The characters were not messed with intentional because they were balancing the core game meta. Dash landings, techs, even the jab priority is changing as of today. Look through the patch notes and I'm sure you'll find characters are going play very different with these new adjustments in place. They also announced netcode adjustments as well as ranked mode changes. All these new updates will negate a lot of your thoughts because they are things being addressed this upcoming patch. It was never about the character patches, it was about them letting us breathe with the broken characters to make the core combat adjustments so that the meta was balanced leaving us to discover how to adjust our play style to the meta.
I agree that the game is in a rough state, but just for the sake of trying to spark the conversation further.... if 80% of the cast is "broken" arent they balanced in their own way? Yea i get that some (most) characters take no skill, but personally id rather have that than a game full of characters who feel completely useless on to of the game already being slowed down.

Honestly, you can beat every character even with their cheesy gimmicks. Bugs bunny, Tom and Jerry, etc. granted it’s harder with lower tier characters but it’s still possible to beat the cheese

I have a completely different experience with this game than you, I main Agent Smith with Stripe as a side piece and every match besides steven universe and Iron giant I feel are winnable and the match is determined how much I can evade blows and land strikes on my opponent. yes characters like the joker, superman, WW and Samurai jack you know the easy to play champs does make the difference if my opponent win in a close matchup. but I never feel like I can't put up a fight in this game which is why I have fun playingit. idk maybe I have just been lucky. a good Steven and IG I just can't be arsed playing. I am diamond 4, grind to master 💪

Been saying this for the longest time but this game is butt cheeks particularly when it comes to quality at a foundational level. Sure the characters are amazing, visuals are cool but when playing the game its really frustrating and for causal players (like myself) these problems the devs don't fix gets boring real quick to deal with.

They can't patch Joker due to his unique copyrights and have to go through several months worth of paperwork and etc and then wait around till it's approved. After that they have to pay Sony and probably do a feet worship session with one of their higher ups to even be allowed to schedule a patch for their game.

It's insane that there's still buffing characters like Harley Quinn yet leaving stuff like Jason weapon hit boxes in the game. Half of these characters need reworked. I've been on the same rank in rank mode because I keep fighting characters like joker and bugs. The fact that zero to death for Finn has been the game since launch is astonishing. How are you going to make a game that has a cast that could rival smash Brothers (if you give it enough time) Make an alpha for the game Making open "beta" Realize that people are quitting so instead of doing the right thing you close the "beta" Release a trailer that net you one million views on UA-cam. Then release the game with almost everything that people liked about it gone. EDP could think of something smarter. People are actually calling this version the game good and they're saying that it's better than the """""beta""""" in every single way. I want what they're smoking.
I think the games got such a small community, that the bad opinions are just as plentiful as the good ones. For example, people saying morty is broken. Even if Morty was slightly overpowered, he isn't, there are 8 other characters who are completely overpowered and ruin every match they are in. Yet Morty was the one who got nerfed? This game better be cooking something up for next patch because at this rate, every character is either gonna be overpowered or garbage.

A lot of people are complaining about trivial things. Of course, the game needs better hitboxes and balance changes, but this community keeps whining about so many dumb things like cosmetics, rifts, and the free event rewards. It's becoming tiresome for me to keep up with. If I were to quit MVS, it wouldn't be because of the game, it would be because of the community.
Free event rewards? My dude majority of the event rewards are locked behind gleanium. At that point what’s even the point of event currency?

They can't patch Joker due to his unique copyrights and have to go through several months worth of paperwork and etc and then wait around till it's approved. After that they have to pay Sony and probably do a feet worship session with one of their higher ups to even be allowed to schedule a patch for their game.
