This is a class act band, some of the best musicians on planet earth, Anton Fig on drums (David Letterman Band), Reese Wynans (Formerly with SRV )on the keys, backup singers Mahalia Barnes (Jimmy Barnes's daughter), Jade MacRae, and Juanita Tippins, Michael Rhodes on bass, Lee Thornburg on trumpet, and Paulie Cerra on Sax. An amazing ensemble of notorious talent. This video was KILLER!!! Great reaction.
When Freddie King wrote this, he released a masterpiece upon the world! I saw Freddie open up for Grand Funk Railroad in 1973 and Freddie busted a string playing this and never missed a beat.
If you can believe it Joe toured with BB King when he was only 11 years old!!! BB was his mentor in many ways. He's also played with Eric Clapton. Saw him twice with a friend who's a 66 year old guitar player. He felt it was best concert he'd ever seen. Joe has soul. Can't teach that
I agree with everything you said but loved to put Stevey Ray Vaughn in the mix. That key board man was ticklen those ivorys. I love that great reaction
Check out Joe's Blues Deluxe 2 and his newest album is his 28th #1 blues album Live at the Hollywood Bowl. You have to hear his voice now. Reese plays a Hammond a lot. Joe opened for BB the whole summer when Joe was 13.
Joe is my fav guitarist of today. He really worked for it too. Been playing since he was 4! PS....his backup singers are sexy as hell and can sing their ass off too.
Reese !!! One of the best keyboard players in the world 🌍 SRVs original keyboard player. Joe Bonamassas is absolutely one of the best guitarist in the world .
Watch the Mahala and the girls sell it! It takes 8 guys and all their technology to keep up with the three ladies, yes the short one is Mahala Barnes. All three are professional recording artests of their own.
