6 months Belize, I wasn’t SF, but I have to say it was brutally hard work, and if your admin was bad, you suffered….came back to Scotland before Xmas, I’d lost that much weight, my mum and sister walked right past me at the train station!

So basically UKSF selection is about pitting you against your worst possible enemy......You.
This is very interesting from a psychological point of view and when I stop and think about it this is far more intimidating than the thought of having someone screaming at me every 2 mins.

Screaming and shouting..dosent get learning across.. officers will only shout when they sick of repeating their selves.. 2 ears one mouth you should be listening a more than you speak

I lived in Brunei as a kid, and we would do these hikes ( two or three miles) and people don't realise that even some of the bark on trees would be covered in spikes. Combine that with razor grass? The leeches eat well.

Ive seen so many interviews about this yet i still come back for more. Looking for that one special insight or anecdote . Always wonder how id cope with that lack of direction and stressed. Proppa head fuck.. its the psychological reasoning behind the design of the course interests me . What was the motivation for each stage. Deep.

the most brutal part as he said , is the lack of encouragement and motivation by the ds ,so basically you are trapped in your own mind ,thinking weather you doing good or bad ,second guessing yourself and trying to self motivate yourself,on top of everything else ,that’s brutal

During Mountain Phase, you have to start each tab with extra water. As you drink water throughout the march, your ruck will be weighed at various checkpoints and it had better be the required weight the DS want. If it's under, they will put a bigass rock in your ruck that you're stuck with.

I spent 24 years in the army and only met 2 members of the SAS. Both were on my EPC (A) in Preston; and yes, they do have to do dull stuff like education to get promoted. It was May 91, post Gulf 1. They were no different from the rest of us; all struggled with the maths lol…..They wore no badges of rank and no beret either. Ummmmm…..that’s it…😂

You get guys with heat exhaustion and lack of salt with cramping issues quickly see them go pale and nearly lifeless.
You just have to stick it out and tell yourself you aint going home until it's done.
