Oshawa + Ontario
Hey Auto Worldzz, thank you for the kind comment. I am glad you found it useful. I moved to Oshawa back in 2012 from Brampton and had to rely on my realtor at the time (I was NOT licensed in real estate yet) to guide me in the right direction. I meet so many people moving to Oshawa who knew very little about the city so figured why not put it out there for everyone...This is a great starting point for those that want to learn about the city, but don't want to solely rely on Google. :)
These videos allow me to share my knowledge, experiences and stories with those looking to relocate.

@@BradGoetz Yeah I am excited! Its going to be a whole new experience ofr me
@@holliewood5176 good to hear. It is a truly amazing city. Over the past decade so many changes. Be sure to check out Lakeview Park
@@BradGoetz ok I will
How do you like it?
Hey! Thanks for the video. Can you tell me the approximate rent of apartments/house near OntarioTech university?
Hi Niket, thanks for watching and commenting. Room rentals start around $500 - $700 and 1-2 bedroom apartments start around the $1,000 mark. My apologies for the delayed response.
Camp x!!!
That's a pretty cool place, but that's in Whitby....
@@BradGoetz Was fantastic in the early 70's . Lots of buildings above and below ground. A pretty cool spy camp , preserved from the war period. The city should of bought the site and declared it a heritage site. Wasn't long after the 70's the place was wrecked! Now there's just a plaque near a baseball diamond. Pretty Sad!
Hey there..
I have secured admission in Durham College.
I am planning to move in Jan2021..provided all the process gets completed on time.
Your video was informative..👍🏻
Looking forward to more such videos..👍🏻
Hey Again, more videos coming. Will be more focused on being out and about to show case more of the city.
as long as you dont live downtown your good
@@SherAli-yk4wj Downtown isn't even that bad. Maybe it was at one point but the people are pretty friendly. Just lock your doors when you leave the house and don't leave your valuables around!
@@FuriousGeorge65384 oh..is it so?
Which area would you really suggest to live in?
Is there any locality near Durham College that you would suggest?
@@sayedsamanzehra6101 Which campus?
Hello, I’m an international student and i going to Oshawa for study at Durham college, start date in September 2022. so i hope to see you there. ☺️
Hi PK Pond, thanks for watching and commenting. I am sure you will see me around. Best of luck with your studies.
Hello , may i know the part time opportunities in Oshawa, I'm planning to do my pg diploma in Durham College.
Hi me also
I will also be going at durham College am an international student too, I need to make some friends before i get there, those leaving in September please get back to me
Bro does this place is good for getting part-time jobs for international students
HI Joys Benny, thanks for watching and commenting. I do feel that getting a part time job would NOT be a problem. With all the restaurants and small/big box stores, there are a lot of Part time opportunities.
@@BradGoetz ok thanks bro
I know this has nothing to do with the video but god you have such beautiful eyes
Thanks ...hopefully its a distraction from the bad hair 🤣🤣🤣
You forgot to mention how Oshawa has the highest teen pregnancy rate in Ontario. Certainly a proud achievement.
Hey Monique, You were correct based on the 2004, 2009 statistics. The director of the Rose of Durham Young Parents Support Services mention that although Oshawa was the highest, they believed alot of Teen Mom's came to Oshawa due to the Support the services offered along with fact that there is a community of Young Parents.
The best part of the statistics (although I couldn't find any exact) is that teen pregnancies are on the decline in all of Ontario. Especially Durham region - Oshawa to be exact. In 2006 Oshawa showed 45 pregnant teens per 1,000 females. By 2014 they reported 28.9 per 1,000.
Oshawa is definitely changing for the better. Due to this positive change tons of people have done really well in the Real Estate Market. When I bought here in 2012, my friends asked why I would move to the Swiggity Shwa.....fast forward a few years and now they are wishing they did Aswell.
@@BradGoetz this is actually the best reply, to such a negative comment. If I was to sell my house in Oshawa, I would totes sell it with you!
@@mahreenmirza thank you so much for watching and commenting. I get a lot of comments like these, were people try to engage in online arguments...I don't mind because every comment helps my video with engagement. 😁. As long as it's not gross or just flat MEAN, I love the comments. Thanks for your positive words.
@@BradGoetz 45 pregnant teens per 1000 females? wtf? so if you walk into a high school, you'll see in avg 45 pregnant girls? let that sink in. Oshawa shouldve been in a state of emergency long time ago...
@@wiiiz3 hahaha.....I know, the number was quite high. I think pregnant teens came here because of the support making the numbers higher than they should have been...>Well, thats what i am hoping happend. At least currently its under 30 per 1,000 now. :)

If Lakeridge is world class then I suppose definition of world class has degraded. lol. Lakeridge is one of the worst. Day one of my son's birth in 2018, nurse was about to inject insulin by mistake cz she mixed up. In 2020, I had an accident, went to surgeon who mistreated me. I then went to MSH and got proper treatment. This are real experience and I have proof.
HI Mohammad Hossain, thanks for watching and commenting. I'm so sorry your experience was so different than mine. If I went through what you did, I would probably say the exact same thing. Both my kids were born there and my wife had her appendix taken out. All positive experiences. My grandfather also went there with his battle against cancer.
#1 Oshawa is not Toronto. The US film and TV producers never seem to understand this.
Yea tell me about it. I feel everytime I tell someone from other parts of the country or world I just say close to Toronto.
I've lived in oshawa since 09 you should tell them about all the homeless tent cities all long the paths you talk about and the hospital sucks the only people i hear have anything positive to say about the hospital had there baby there
Thanks for watching and commenting. My experience at the hospital has always been positive, but I do fall into the category of my wife and I delivering our babies there. My grandfather did go there for his battle with cancer and yet again the experience was positive.
I have seen a few areas where there were tents with people living there, but it wasn't anything crazy......
Thanks again for watching 😁
@@BradGoetz i worked security there and seen them treat people like shit because they were addicts or looked like one one guy i knew was a roofer only smoked weed him and all his bros looked rough for there age and he was complaining about his mouth hurting they thought he wanted pills get sending Jim home every time he came turned out it was cancer by the time they realised it was to late spread through out the body that being said i like your vidz
Its the only place in the gta where the south end lake house is cheaper then the north end go to Pickering Ajax Whitby courtier Bowmanville and the lakefront home cost way more then the north of the city and towns
@@ethanhawk4463 as far as I know your statement is 100% accurate. Close to water should equal higher sale prices....
Not in Oshawa. Demographics are changing big time in the south, as so many first time buyers from outside the GTA move to Lakeview not knowing it has a bad reputation, luckily it's changing, slowly but surely.
@@BradGoetz and I'm in NO WAY saying your videos aren't good this is just another perspective i couldn't do videos like you I'm to scared to get in front of the camera and i appreciate you taking time to reply back i definitely will be subscribing
You're talking about the beach you can go to but yet you can't f****** swim in it
Thanks for watching and commenting Derek. I thought you could swim in it....I could have sworn I've seen people swimming in it....am I delusional? I mean that with sincerity 😁
Dude, I've never seen you around. It's not big enough to never meet face to face at least once in 9 years.
Hey Jeff, thanks for watching and commenting. If you've only just watched my videos you would have never been looking for me 😁. I'm in Oshawa all the time. I'm sure you'll run into me at some point.
@@BradGoetz Looking forward to it. Howdy neighbour.
This man clearely did not live in oshawa. I lived tight downtown for a decade going to high school. I literally watched a 7 year old kid with a double le broken arm sit in the waitin room for 6 hours before they saw him. Even had the balls to tell his parents to make him stop crying.
Hi Neeka,
Thanks for watching and commenting. I did live in Oshawa from 2012 - 2019 and really enjoyed living there. I am in Whitby now, but still in Oshawa all the time helping people move here. I am very sorry to hear of your experience in Oshawa. I had a rental property at Olive and Albert and had bad experiences with Tenants there. This is not to say that all of Oshawa (Or all of Central Oshawa) is bad. There are far more good pockets than bad. WIth all the new people moving to Oshawa it is going through an amazing change. Is there still bad things that happen? Of Course, but which city doesn't have that?
In regards to your experience at the hospital, I am sorry to hear that....it does sound horrible. I can't imagine anyone telling a 6 year old boy with 2 broken legs to stop crying....That is brutal. I have had 3 experiences at Lakeridge Health, both my kids being born there (Amazing Experience) and my grandfather getting Cancer treatment, again an amazing experience. They really did try to make the best of a shitty experience.
Thanks again for watching and i really hope you are happy where you are living now. If your not, who has 2 thumbs and wants to help? -> THIS GUY
@@BradGoetz As much as I criticize ya, I'll say the video is well done still. And I am happy and safe now, moved with my sons out of ontario
That is great........This was my first ever video i posted. I was terrified infront of the camera and did not know how to do anything fancy. The fact that you say it is well done is greatly appreciated.
@@BradGoetz it's better than I would do that's for sure.
@@neekaelliott6513 hahaha.....thanks
The Shwa, where tattoos are a higher priority than teeth
Hahaha...maybe in some spots, but most cities have those areas 😂😂😂😂.
fake news
Thanks for the comment. First one, don't care that it's negative. 😁
@@BradGoetz no problem fam keep up the content
Living In Oshawa Ontario don’t mean this to be a negative comment but Oshawa has a major crime and drug problem. just yesterday a huge meth lab was just found by police confiscating millions of dollars worth of methanphetamine. We can’t ignore the alarming crime rates that continue to grow
@@SuperFalcon131 Yea I just saw that this morning. Crazy to here of something like this happening so close to home. Unfortunalty, there are pockets in Oshawa that stuff like this happens. On the flip side, things like this are happening all over the GTA. The crime rate climbing is very unfortunate, it has been increasing in most parts of the GTA, Police services mostly blame it on the increasing population going on in some of the most populated areas of Canada.
IT SUCKS!
Hi D, if you talking about the video, i agree😂. It was my first EVER UA-cam Video, I had NO idea what I was doing. I was NOT going for an A+, more of an A for EFFORT. Thanks for Watching and Commenting.
No not the video at all, I'm talking about the town.
@@user-me5hb2xl1j okay thanks. I lived in Oshawa from 2012-2019 and loved it. But I came from Brampton where i was born and raised.
