- Spend the night with me at the cabin with the doggos! We just got a nice dump of snow- so join me for some fun and great woodstove food. It's cold and snowy AND BEAUTIFUL- ya gotta get out and enjoy it! And hey- that's how you earn your dinner! You're gonna love what I cook on the woodstove and when is the last time you went sledding?? Let's gooooooooooo!
Snow ice cream recipe (makes a big bowl):
2 eggs
1 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Freshly fallen snow (light and fluffy)
Beat eggs- add sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat until combined and smooth. Fold in snow until mixture is the consistency of ice cream. Has the consistency of homemade ice cream. Put in freezer for harder freeze. ENJOY!
*To make chocolate snow ice cream add a packet of instant hot cocoa and stir.

When Brooke was 1st building it herself and I knew absolutely nothing about her, it was the first GIRL IN THE WOODS vid I ever saw! Then I went back and watched all the backstory of all the places they worked in Alaska and their time on the TV show ALONE. Now 2023 their boy has started a 2nd generation as a homesteader and UA-camr called BETTING ON ALASKA. He has a lot of talent as a storyteller and adventure vlogger. ❤❤❤❤

Just finished almost 80 days of camping and this week secured a tiny cabin in da woods in exchange for helping on the farm! I was so excited to share my dinner with you while watching this video! Thank you for helping me stay inspired to chase my dreams!!

Honestly I followed my gut, it was there every time I drove to town! I looked up others when I knew I wanted to winter down somewhere and not get an apartment, buying my own place wasn't going to happen this year and I decided to drive in and and see what happened! 🙏 That dinner in a cabin with Brooke's video was very special, especially when I look back to what I was hoping for last year!

My 28 yo daughter who still lives with me and my wife got her first puppy 8 months ago . Lola is a beautiful husky poo who has brought so much love into our home that my words can’t even begin to explain. I see so many similarities between your pup and ours like how much she loves you and how much you love her. My wife never had any pets her whole life and grew up in a home that was afraid of dogs and ihaven’t had any snce I lived with my parents and that was 40 years ago. Anyway you should see how attached my wife has become to this precious addition to our family and me this lil dog has just melted my heart. I can’t wait till this winter when lola gets to see her first snow. Your videos with you and your beautiful dog inspired me to tell you my story. Thankyou for the beautiful and calming videos you share with us and may the Lord be with you.

This is my favorite cabin of yours, because this is the first one I watched you build. Been watching a lot of your and Bushradicals old vids lately, thinking of how I'm 70 years old and totally missed my opportunity to have my dream cottage in the country. I'm way too old now, and it's depressing. I just live vicariously through you, since you two are young enough to be my children. I was only going to watch this "for a couple of minutes," but I couldn't stop!! There is something about the simplicity and peace and quiet, yet so much living in the moment that I love. Being a total foodie, I loved watching you make your dinner and breakfast. I don't eat red meat or pork, but girl, let me tell you, I am seriously going to be making a cheddar cheese sandwich with roasted jalapena tomorrow. I just subscribed, so I've never seen your other videos. I noticed you are married...does your spouse not mind you adventuring with your dogs and going on your own for a bit? I think it's great! As a Christian, I loved how you thanked Jesus for the things you are grateful for. We all need that reminder.

We don't get snow very often in north Texas, maybe twice a winter. Lots of times it's only a dusting and it melts or blows away within a couple of hours. Often, you can't collect enough for a batch of snow ice cream. But watching you mix that up and then take a bite of it, for a second, just for a second, I could TASTE snow ice cream; the full flavor! I always enjoy the peaceful beauty of the snow. I'm 72 and still get excited seeing it start to snow. This was a great video! Thank you. I've been known to grab a cardboard box and slide down a snowy or icy hill or driveway, too. 😊

We are, at this moment, enjoying our hot coffee, in a cabin, on ten acres, watching our animals enjoy the mornings of fresh pumpkin, watermelon and grain and alfalfa pellets. 😋 We love your little set up too!!!
