Ashish bhai agar aap 3 years old car lete hain jo ki less driven bhi hogi to bhi aapko fayda hota hai kyunki depreciation 3 saal mein hi hota hai main , or car almost new rehti hai less driven hai to .......mein second hand virtus le rhaa hun ,mujhe 17 lac wala model 13 lac mein mil rhaa hai or 5000 km chali hai ....what say ??

The golden rule is, always buy the car directly from the owner. Avoid dealers. When you buy any second hand car, that too a premium sedan, you must set aside at least two lakhs for future repairs. There is nothing strange about it. When you buy a 20 lakh vehicle which is seven years old, obviously you must be ready to spend extra amount. Even then it's worthwhile. Suggesting a new vehicle as alternative is ridiculous. Are we supposed to believe that a new car will work well for 15 years without any repairs?
And in this case it's maintainence and costs are priced according to the original cost.
@@arvindlamba454 Yes. Especially the spare parts are known to be expensive. One shud definitely think abt it when one buys a used German car. But recently Volkswagen and Skoda are trying to shed the image that their cars' maintenance is expensive. They r coming up with economic packages for maintenance. I own a Skoda Rapid of 2014 petrol model which I bought recently as a used car. Just today I got the annual service done. They hv offered me an SMP plan of 12,200/- which covers annual service for two years, which is quite ok. But still, for repairs that may come up in future I made my own plan and set aside some amount.
@@kirantoleti we have 2017 rapid and 2013 yeti both in diesel. Rapid is on par with similar segment vehicles. Yeti is little bit high maintaince but it has crossed 2.6lakh km so I don't think it's maintainence is high considering the smile it brings

I don't think any car stays without repair for 15 years
Last year I had purchased an 11 yrs old Honda City (2009 3rd generation) , 60k run, now it's 1 year of ownership and I drove it for 11 thousand kms, just replaced the front stock tyres, and one rear wheel bearing . Rest routine service of oil filter and engine oil replacement.

Same here. Mines 7 years old. It has done 90k plus kms and still going strong. Other than a couple of abs sensors, no complaints.

Got two of them. Both are diesel manuals.
Oil change service at every 10000kms and usual preventive maintenance.
Some people don’t even read the manual and then blame it on the machine. 😅
Unlike new ones, older VWs are not for everyone 😅😅
My personal experience is if you buy a second hand German car ready to lose your savings.if you like to buy a second car just take the car to authorise centre do full scan get report based on outcome decide.Just keep in mind there is no good technician can able to resolve issues
volkwagon cars are very expensive and parts are very expensive dont take risk to buy second hand market go for new cars .
Bhai is gari mein apka koi loss nahi kyunki its power car .agar 1st hand lete toh 20 25 lakh jata.agar ap kisi acche mechanic se aur 1ya2 lakh ka repair karbaliya toh phir lifetime no problem hojayega.pehla baat engine toh karab hota hi nahi.Maruti ya Mercedes 6.7 saal baat kuch na kuch change karana parta hai bro.woh driving nature pe depend karta hai.
1.Never buy from dealer.
2.Never buy Volkswagen,Skoda second hand or be ready to pay heavy price.

100%. This guy bought the cheapest Jetta he could find and tried to run it like a Maruti. That's what happened.
You may prefer to stay away from VAGs. As it takes a little know-how to maintain the car. Your usual go-to mechanic is for Maruti.
Diesel Jetta’s was one of the finest breeds of cars available in our market. I still happen to have two of them. Combined running is over 2Lac kilometres.
One should understand that value of the car depreciates with time, and the cost of spare parts remains the same or increases with as in accordance of inflation rate.
Be prepared when you buy an ill maintained car.
Owner is at fault here you should never trust dealers always take certified mechanic who has good knowledge about the particular car you are buying and second point when buying a car like jetta always take the car to mechanic and fix all the things because these cars are like gems they will run perfectly fine if you follow the service schedule but if you ignore the maintainence then more parts will fail and the top model of this car was around 26 lakhs so it's obvious that the service and spare parts are expensive .

Imagine, if even 90% of the people could maintain their cars, second hand market prices sky rocket karenge, more people will start to buy second hand cars... But itna hi hai, log gaadi lete hai toh maintain nai karte hai and ese ache ache gaadi kabad ke layak kar dete hai.... It's different story that older VW vehicles need a lot of maintenance but still...

even if you want to buy one, VW and Skoda cars are the last ones you should put your hands on. The Internals and the critical parts dont age well. Toyota/Suzuki fare way better. Turbo in my Skoda Rapid gave up after 6 years. V.W if infamous for ambulance noise issue with their turbo chargers. Where as the turbo in my Baleno is rock solid until now after 8 years of ownership. Some UA-camrs are misguiding the viewers regarding the Proficiency of these cars, one has even claimed that there is nothing better than a second hand german car. His name starts with M. lol

I buy 4 year old polo MPI 36k run at 3.4 lac. drove 20k km in last 3 year . apart from clutch plate. no issue giving 19kmpl.
this car is around 6.50+ how can you get in 4 lakh, it is obvious that you are going to pay more so you should not complain.

Service center pe bhi local mechanic hi hote hai they are not engineer don't defame Indian Engineers ..
Vo ladka sahi bolra Hai.. tum shyd koi German brand own nahi kiye ho isliye tumko nahi pata h.. German car brands-mercedes, audi, VW skoda k service centers pe Jo car ka Kam karte h vo engineer hi karte Hai.. local mechanic ko toh samaj hi nahi aega German engineering..German cars ka jitna bhi technical work Hota h Jo engineers hi krte Hai.. hum khud 2 skoda own krte Hai.. engineer koi Kam ka hi nahi h..Har waqt apna seniors se puchte rehta h phone pe ki ab kya karna hoga etc etc
Mere paas polo hai 8 years ho gye.. 1.5 lakh chal chuki hai.. new jaisi pickup hai aaj bhi... annually mentinance cost only 12-13 thousand
