- Got a CGC comic book in the mail, so I decided to show you guys the unboxing and unslabbing! And why not bring you into the Collection of the GOD'S and show SOME of my other comics!! You're a fortunate person, I hope you don't ever forget that. Watching this made me upset with myself, because watching it made me feel jealous. I don't like being jealous, you don't deserve my jealousy simply because you get to do something that I am unable to do. Anyhow... I am going to put that behind me and just say, congratulation, you have an amazing collection.
I just came across this video and every time I watch something from your collection, I am totally impressed. 90% of my SA 60s collection was bought off the rack when the comics looked like they do in your videos - clean, wear-free, bright colors - pristine - just like when I was a kid and saw these live on a monthly basis. And we didn't have so many options for entertainment so you can see why I spent all my $$ on comics!
My God, Mr.LKDC:
Impressive broadcast, I must say. The Intro/Prologue was nicely shot and downright procedural as the scissors grew dangerously close to a high-level treasure! And then, as we caught our collective breath, the all-too-quick exploration of pristine comic boxes was mind-blowing; always the main question remaining: How in the hell much money did it take to amass these fabulous icon-comics thus far?!
Incomprehensible! All viewers want these damn beauties immediately!!!
Keep up the good work, and never think these episodes are too long!

Awesome collection! I had a chance back in the 70s to purchase many of these books at affordable prices but unfortunately I got caught up buying records which cut into my comics spending. I am slowly building up my collection of silver age and Bronze Age comics but really hoping to buy a huge collection in the wild at a great prices! It’s now way to expensive at comic cons. Keep doing these fantastic videos of your comics!

Insane. What a collection.
I have several thousand UK reprints, complete runs. Not worth diddly squat and kept in old Kellogs Cornflake boxes in my sister's garage for the last 42 years. But I'm proud of my collection as well.
Read all my comics on Marvel Unlimited now though.

Awesome collection my favorite marvel hero is Thor, I also have some very sweet silver age issues of him, I mostly collect all super heroes from the 60's to modern, but as part of my hobby I'm always on the hunt for my favorites Batman and Thor, so you don't like graded books? if so I'm very much like you rather have them in high grade take off the cgc case on put in a mylites 2 or 4 just to show it off my comic book longboxes or my comic book room, tho my room is not as epic as yours but I'm very proud of what I have, I'm enjoying your videos very much, never had a chance to comment because i mostly just watch videos but sir you deserve a great deal of positive comments :) hope you do an update on your Thor collection :D

What do you keep your comics in to protect them? Mylar or regular bag and boards? I'm new to collecting and would love some pointers! Thanks so much man! Your collection is wicked impressive! Hulk 181 just chill'n on the wall with Cap 100 is awesome!
Shane, I would say for anything $40+ value you should be looking at mylar and inert (acid free) backing boards. If you purchase books online or by mail then if you are getting into the $200+ per book purchase area then go with a CGC or similar slabbed/3rd party graded book to avoid being ripped off by poor graders or crooks (funny how poor graders always over grade!). Poor grading makes a world of difference, in the early 90's I bought a JIM 83 graded as VFN for £500 (approx. $800 US). In today's world of cgc's accurate grading it would make about a 5.5 only. Financially that could be a $10,000 gap in what it would be worth if it had been graded properly by the seller (thanks the now defunct Stateside!) Enjoy the great hobby & buy wisely.

Why are the comics in 2mil rather than a 4mil sleeve?
do you not do CGC or like it? I couldn't imagine breaking open a graded case that in my mind has the best protection for the book possible. I guess if you're a guy who prefers raw books thats cool i'm just curious

LeeKirbyDitkoComics I only say it because these days it's the best time to sell and the worst time to buy comics with all the movies, cgc graded books, tv shows, and speculation driving up the prices ( some manufactured,) but again you have an awesome collection!!! cheers!
you can get money again, but can you get comics of your grade? You say that you're dads is better grade than yours? Enjoy paradise.
