I’m working on this same engine, guy ran it out of fuel can’t get and fuel to come out of the injection pump, plenty of fuel going in. Loosen delivery valves and it will let out low fuel pressure
I have a v1702 after cleaning and reassembling the injection pump fuel only comes out of cylinder 2 injection line, and if i loosen the fitting ontop of the pump the others will pump fuel . Any idea what would cause this?
How does the pump come off the engine? I have all the lines and intake manifold removed. Is the linkage going to prevent it from lifting off? My pump has no fuel out of one valve after I had water in the fuel. Only 218 hours on this engine.
The rack was stuck towards the rear. It bent and would not move. I managed to get the pump out and straighten the rack in a press. Now I hope I got the plungers back in the correct way. Slot goes towards the rack side?
I have a question I have a kx71-3 with v1505 motor. Idles fine but smokes black pretty good and soon as you put load on the motor it dies down and smokes like a train. Wondering if you could give me some ideas what to look for or check out. Thanks
I replaced the head recently but it doesn't really have any blowby. Or at least excessive blowby. . I was next going to rebuild injectors and ip. But I don't know a way to test them
@@tractorsmarinemechanic it ended up being I guess compression like you said. The whole rocker assembly came loose and wasn't closing the intake valve the rocker was actually off the push rod completely. Tightened it all up set the lash and it fired right up ran good
Not your fault, but there is a MAJOR problem with the absence of an explanation about the fuel injection DIRECTION that the PLUNGERS must be aligned with. Hard to understand for many, but the plungers MUST be installed properly. Meaning that the "vertical-helicoidal" groove on them must be aligned to spit the dose of fuel as needed. The square end (rectangular actually) come with two different inscriptions at each end. If you don't know how, your motor will never start. More yet. Tons of videos about these pumps. NO ONE ADRESSESS this fact!
Beware when removing this pump the rack needs to be in a forward position else it will get bent. Also, there is a small rack dampener pin at the rear of the pump that can become damaged. It is not available from Kubota alone. Bending it will be very costly. I was able to straighten mine. Hopefully it will work.

Check your delivery valve
Ok, at 16:03 you put a washer on. My pump is missing those, is that a normal copper washer? And what size is it? Will the pump function without?
Without washer diesel will be mixed to the oil pan

Remove the delivery valve holder and check the delivery valve maybe stuck

The plunger that you install at 17:50. Looks like the slot goes on the rack side. Is this correct?

Did you overhauled your engine or not?may be your engine slightly blowby or the plunger need to replace
