    I also did my own overhaul. I was very impressed with the work I did with no experience.
    Nice work. great video.

    That came out fantastic- I in the beginning started off bouncing back and forth between several videos (one i bought) to figure out the best way in doing this mask ans in the end I just all suggestions done from various videos.
    Think the hard one for me was reapplying the front hairline because the bits did NOT want to cooperate or stay in place and it just got out of place. Otherwise the paint appliances with the fleshtone and appliance white worked well. Few extra things i did although not really needed wa giving with a few light dry brushed and washes here and there and trimmed the neckline a half an inch.

    Great rehaul man👍🏼 you nailed the hairline. I cringed when I saw the stock hairline on mine glad I’m getting it rehauled lol

    I'm to use spray paint with mine. Want to keep it faithful to how they modified the original

    Definitely looks better i got the same mask tried my own refinements it looks better but the big issue i have is they made a mold based on Nick Castles stretch. Should of just tried to recreate the William Shatner Don post mask instead. And let our melons decide how it looks.

    • @kurtasa3884
      @kurtasa3884 3 роки тому

      I didn't think they could do that technically without paying Shatner.

    Tips I’d like to give
    First good rehall!!!
    Second: the camera your using took me out of the video due to the noise it makes when you switch hands or tap it with your hands. I recommend trying to use a tripod or a selfie stick
    All in all wonderful rehall and good video!

  • @matttheonenonly7363
    @matttheonenonly7363 2 роки тому +1

    Not much different than a stock copy.. The white has to be sprayed from above aimed downward so to the leave indented areas flesh like the actual movie mask had. Makes those features pop.

    great job although next time with the fleshcolor it needs to be darker and a bit more red also make the creaves where the eye meets the mask in a way a bit darker overall incredible job

      Hey Jake, your mask looks fantastic brother! Keep up the great work. If you don't want to go the latex route Createx has an adhesion promoter specifically for latex masks it's part of their Bloodline paints. You apply the promoter first, allow to fully dry and you can then add your acrylics. Once your base layer is down add another light coat of promoter let dry and do light mist coats of the spray paint. This will keep it from cracking. Happy painting man!

    What glue did you use for the hair? And does the paint crack over time?

    • @JakeWatford
      @JakeWatford  2 роки тому +1

      If I remember right it was either fabric glue or super glue. For how often I wear it and travel with it, the paint is still holding up very well! If I used some latex or put a protective coat over it, probably would be in better shape
