My late hubby was my sewing machine angel. He bought me all my machines starting with my Bernina 830. That was in the 70s. I still have it. The last one he bought me was a Brother Inovice sewing/embroidery machine that I absolutely love. After he passed, I had a hard time getting back to using it for a while. Now I enjoy sewing a bit almost everyday. Your enthusiasm is contagious!! Always look forward to your videos!! Kathi
Aw…I love your story Kathi. What a sweet hubby. I’m so sorry for your loss. And I’m happy that he is remembered in your hobby. That’s so special. Hugs 💜💜💜
I am so happy for your new purchase. I own a Pfaff Performance 5.0. They age and decrease in value so fast. You got a great deal. And you will love this machine. I sew almost daily. There is so much joy in a machine that has what you need and is easy to use and works like a charm every time. I own a Babylock serger. I love everything about it. Technology is a blessing for us seamstresses. I also own a Janome cover stitch machine. My first sewing class in school, years ago, had a Bernina. I was never lucky enough to sew on it. I did eventually buy one. They are wonderful machines as well. Thanks so much for sharing.
You will love the Pfaff. I used my mom's cheap Pfaff for years until it died. I never knew it had a built in walking foot until I bought a cheap Brother machine and had problems. Free motion is when the feed dogs are dropped. It's used for quilting mainly. I mainly use a straight stitch Juki and was given a used Janome, but really want a newer Pfaff one day. You got a great deal.
Congratulations on your new machine! I still sew on my Pfaff from the 80s. It is such a reliable machine that I am a huge Pfaff fan. Welcome to the club! 🙂
I have the Pfaff Expression 720 and I love it. I quilt so the larger space is greatly needed. I also see purses and this machine performs fabulous on heavier fabric. I see a lot of clothes as well and this machine is a dream. Use the little “dohickey” to level your heavier seams to help change your needle. Your buttonhole maker is in the back storage compartment. Have fun playing with all the new stitches. They are so fun.
I absolutely loved your video and your enthusiasm for your new "to you" machine. I have been sewing for 61 years and just bought a used Janome on Ebay - and I was just as excited about all it's features and getting all the feet etc. Sewing is such a wonderful hobby. Hope you have many years of fun with your "new" Pfaff!
Congrats! I love the purple!! I’m excited for you and hope you’ll keep updating us on how it’s going! I can see why you trust your sewing guy- he seems like a really nice, honest man!
Congratulations on your new to you machine!! I have a Janome Skyline S9 that was barely used by a woman who wanted to move up. I can sew, quilt and embroider on it. I have yet to figure out the embroidery part. I also have an older, simpler Janome, that I love and bought used. I did buy my Janome serger new on a special, as it had been used as an demo at a trade show. I’m so thankful that I could somewhat afford these higher quality machines without paying full price!! I have purchased all of them at our local little sewing machine store and quilt shop, where people matter to the owners and staff. Enjoy! God bless you, from Peggy.
My first love is garment sewing but have been following the quilting community the past couple of years. I've come to my own conclusion that those machines that cost several thousand are for hard core quilting, applique and embroidery enthusiasts, especially those that enter competitions or sell their goods. For garment sewing, we tend to stick to only a few stitches. I did get my much loved Pfaff Creative 1475cd from a quilter. Paid $600 for this older machine but loved it so much that I bought a second one a later for $200. Someday I might trade those two in for one similar to yours. However, if my house was burning I'd probably save my $100 Craigslist Featherweight find first💕. Can't believe that was ur first machine! Congratulations on the new Pfaff 🎊
Congratulations on your new purchase. I have an old Pfaff that I just love. Also have a Singer Stylist. If I get to the point where I need a new machine, I will definitely look at the Pfaff. Enjoy your purchase.
Okay, I know I told you I love my over 40 year old Pfaff and don’t want a computerized sewing machine BUT now I want your sewing machine! I want a purple Pfaff!
Nice addition to your sewing room!!! She’s sew pretty!!! ❤Congratulations!!!🎉 Ok,,,, so I’m jealous. I wanna new to me machine too! With all the snowbirds in town,, this is NOT the best time in Tucson! Maybe in the heat of Summer! 😘😎🤠🌵🙏👏🏻🫶🏼💐🥴
Congratulations! You are such a stitch! (Pun intended). Isn't it fun having a new toy! I bought my Elna 7200 Quilters Pro in 2006 new for $1500. It has all the bells and whistles for quilting and garment sewing and is a great machine, but now I want a machine that does embroidery, which equals to more expensive than my current one. Have fun!
Congratulations on Your New Addition!!!!!! Moving On Up..... Like the Jefferson's LOL. 1970 I got my very first Singer machine from My husband for Christmas. It went forward and backward. 4 years later I got the Singer Futura Touch and Sew. Last year I got my first computerized Brother sewing machine. I love it. I love your enthusiasm. Enjoy your New to You toy. Keep the manual close to your heart. I am still learning to use my Brother. But I love every thing about it. Please let me know when you have some free time to explain the Hoodie Hugs download. Thanks.
Hallo from Greece! You won't regret buying Pfaff sewing machine! I have an ambition 620 and a performance icon! I love them both! I upgraded but I kept my 620 as a backup machine! Wait till you try the twin neddle! Amazing ! I also have the same serger but the Pfaff version! Enjoy your high performance machine!
After sewing on a perfectly good Sears sewing machine for 15 years, I bought a top of the line ( pre computer, of course) Pfaff in 1975. Best machine ever. And it got loads of use over the years. I now live the Netherlands half time and had to buy a machine during Covid. Ended up with a mid range Janome Skyline S6. Couldn’t justify a top of the line at my age. I really like it but miss the heavy duty capacity of my Pfaff in the US. Congratulations on your new baby - you’ll love it!
Congratulations!!! Quality all the way. I do not have one but have considered when I’m ready. Have so much fun. You got a great deal from someone u trust and supports the product. Way to go!!!
Loved the bloopers, particularly you throwing all the feet at the camera🤣 Laughed out loud 😊 Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the new machine. See you on Friday
You are going to absolutely love your new machine. I have had a few Janome machines over the years and loved them but I moved up to a Bernina and the difference was remarkable. Good luck with your beautiful new baby.
I am not going to lie I am a bit jealous! I love my Pfaff it is 25 years old and there are new things I would like. However it still works perfectly fine and I can not justify a new one! What a deal you got!
I'm excited for you Stephanie. I saw this machine 18 months ago when I retired. I really thought about it but decided to wait. I have 2 Pfaffs . One of them is 48 years old. This is still on my list. I can't wait to see what you do with it. ENJOY.
Stephanie I am so excited for you. I have been sewing on the same machine for over 23 years. My Hunky Man bought me a brand new Husqvarna Viking #1+ in I want to say early 1998. I have Loved this machine so much. I have been wanting to buy a new machine for a bit now but it still on the hold list. I have also been on the hunt for a working feather weight a because they are beautiful but I am a quilter (about 30 years now). I have spent the last year relearning garnet construction because you inspire me so much! I like the names Violet and Vivian for your new machine. Vlogging with Vi or Vlogging with Viv sew cute! Have a Glorious Sewing Adventure! Can’t wait to take the ride with you!
Your new machine is beautiful. The automatic thread cutting is great. I don’t blame you for talking fast and being excited. I would be too! Enjoyed your video.
Congratulations on your new to you machine! Purple looks great in your room. Love your bloopers ha ha. I laughed when you couldn’t remember what you just looked at on your Janome. I do that kind of thing too.
Hi Stephanie, I love your new to you, pfaff. I have a brother computerized sewing machine. I use free motion for quilting. It drops the feed dogs and you move the fabric (quilt sandwich) around in patterns in all directions. It's really cool. Have fun with your Pfaff
Congrats on the new machine.😊 I see great new makes and projects coming our way . Have to say the best was the bloopers…lol. Having to check the name three times is so me…😅. Have fun with it.
Haha! Fun bloopers. I’ve been putting outtakes at the end of my videos since I started as it’s pretty rare for me to make it through an entire video without a blooper I was a Pfaff lover for years. I purchased my first one in mid 90s, based on a friends recommendation. She was a pattern designer, and that’s what she used. About a year before I became a BERNINA Ambassador I bought a Pfaff Quilt Expression. You will love your new machine. Enjoy!
Congrats on your new baby! I have an older Pfaff and it’s able to do embroidery as well and I really love it! I really enjoy watching your videos and listening to your chats and I’m looking forward to seeing the new projects you make with your new machine!
Congratulations! You have a beautiful sewing machine! Have fun sewing! It's crazy how machines are traded up with little to new sewing hours on it. I purchased a 700 series Bernina with less than two hours of sewing. Happy sewing!
Yay 🎉very exciting! Good for you. You’ve earned it. 😅 I especially love the built in walking foot! Wohoo! I enjoyed the bloopers 😂you reminded me of me. 🙌
Oh my goodness I am so excited for you! That looks a fabulous machine and sorry, did you say it has an alarm for when you bobbin runs low?! 😱 Now that's taking the fun out of sewing 😂, you will miss out on doing things like the most marvellous top stitching and then realising it hasn't sewn at all 🤣. I need a new machine now. Can't wait to hear how you get on with it, Jen raves about hers. Oh you made me howl on those bloopers 😂. Thanks for sharing xx
Congratulations on your “new” sewing machine! What a buy you got! I have a Viking 980Q and I love it! Next month I will be making the final payment and she is mine. I quilt, make garments and crafts and my machine does it all. Enjoy many years to come with your Pham!!
How exciting! The nice thing about upgrading to a new machine is that the technology had changed so much for the better in most cases, i.e. needle threader, air threader, auto button holes, lighting, etc. You deserve this New to You machine. You sew so much and will benefit from these upgrades. I have been wanting to upgrade my serger to air thread and needle thread. Getting older and can’t see as well these days. But, unlike you, I am not sewing as much as you. That’s another story for another day.😂 I am too fugal to spend too much money on my hobby or, for that matter anything. I got my Bernina sewing machine just like you got your Pfaff. I really need to upgrade it but, I am too sentimental and I purchased other machines for other reasons. I know that you will enjoy your machine. So happy for you.
😂Great bloopers... So so happy for you.. getting the things you've wanted for so long on a machine feels so awesome.. the autocutter and autothreadeer are definitely 2 one of my favorite things on my new sewing and serger machines.. I treated myself to 3 new machines when we moved a few years ago.. and after 30 years OMG so many new items on the machines.. I also bought a coverstitch as I am a certified legging and comfy knit wearer .. so many new things to learn 😊keep us posted on your learning curve 😄
Hi Michelle, yes! So many advances in a newer machine. I’m excited to see what I will discover as I go along. Finding a coverstitch is definitely on my wish list. Lol. Hugs ❤️
I have a Janome for my back up and a Baby Lock Lyric for my main. The baby lock was a gift from my husband. I also have a collection of older machines including my great grandmothers pedal machine.
Congratulations Stephanie! I am so excited for you! I think sewing machines are kinda like cars. Sooo many great brands, but we fall into being loyal to one or the other. I am a quilter, and still use my antique featherweight to piece. I love it. I also have have two vintage Vikings that are excellent machines. I bought my first Bernina a few years ago to get going with machine embroidery. I quickly outgrew that machine and after purchasing a higher end Bernina from a friend when she upgraded, I was hooked on machine embroidery and now use a new Bernina 590. It’s a great machine, but now I want bigger hoops! Anyway, have fun! I loved your video!
Congratulations! What a beautiful machine. You're going to love it I'm sure. Laughed out loud when you found your spool cap. Lol! Fun times ahead! A thread cutter is amazing. I love mine. Have fun!!! Can't wait to see what's next.😃
Sew 😅 happy for you, I can’t wait to upgrade to a longer arm machine from my Viking Huskavarna. My husband bought it for me at the annual Sewing Expo here in north Georgia 7 years ago. It’s great for cloths making but I want to quilt again and found some purse making was challenging. The built in walking foot is a huge selling point along with the auto cut and tie. Thanks for you review
I love my featherweights (I have four), the three PFAFF sewing machines I have (all vintage) are work horses. That’s a beautiful sewing machine, congratulations on your purchase ❤
Congrats on becoming a Pfaff girl! I have 3 of the same model, 7550/7570. (They don’t make them anymore, so I needed backup!) you should leave your even feed engaged at all times - it’s not just for knits. I sewed on one of these at a class at Houston Quilt Festival. It had a feature that I really longed for, but at the time was only available on the embroidery model. I noticed that yours has it. It is thar when the needle down is engaged (mine always is) the needle goes down but the presser foot raises up. I guess it figures the needle down is mainly used when you’re pivoting in a seam, like a corner. Then, you don’t have to lower the presser foot manually, it does it automatically when you step on the gas! I LOVE that feature. Have fun! Start making a garment NOW! 😻
Hello,Hello! Stephanie! Congratulations on your new Pfaff!! I have a Pfaff serger that I bought 25 years ago and have never had to have it serviced all those years until last fall and it needed some adjusting but up until then NOTHING! It ran like a dream and I serviced it myself on cleaning and oiling from instructions from the Manuel. Like you now I was sooo excited to get it home and start inspecting it and looking it over ( like we do when we bring our newborn babies home from the hospital 😂) I must say you made a very good and wise choice as Pfaff sewing machines have been around for years and they are right up there with the high end machines and their performance is beautiful!! Good job girl!! Happy ‘Pfaffy’ Sewing 😂 Virginia in Arkansas 👍
Well I thought about getting another serger with all the new ‘ bells & whistles’ since this one had some years on it but when I priced the new ones and thought about what all I do with it and what it has done for me and what the repair cost was going to be compared to a new one--- well I just couldn’t part with it and it runs just as smooth now as it did when I first got it- your can last you - care & maintenance is the answer 👍🏻
Ooh, I'm ready for a new machine. I've only ever owned one, it was extremely well priced and I've used it loads, but I just think I would do even more with a new machine. I've been looking at Pfaff because of the dual feed, but I'm waiting until I can get to see some machines in person before I decide.
How exciting, it looks fabulous. I bought a Bernette last year with a built in walking foot. Having a thread cutter is great. You might want to think about a knee lift for the presser foot, also great when you get used to it. I will never get used to sewing by pressing the button instead of the foot pedal, it scares me 😱
I have Singers and Berninas (mostly) and if my 765 Bernina didn't already have the IDT system then I would definitely be in the market for a Pfaff. I love your excitement! Have you made a project on it yet? I don't know, but somehow I feel like there might be a quilt in your future!! Love the blooper bit where you spilled all your feet but super happy you found the things you thought were missing. Have fun with your new girl! I might call her Violet since it's a purple name!!
OMG now I want one. Look at the area you have with the throat plate! That's big! It looks like I have a lot of the same features as you, except my machine is far older. Do you have a front drop-in bobbin? Mine loads from below. Does your bobbin wind automatically when you move the thingy over? Also, I bet you can work the needle up and down from your foot pedal. You got a beauty! I can't wait until you really get into it and start using all those shortcuts. Congrats! xox
Hi Jen, Yes! I was so taken with all that space! It seemed enormous in the store, but in my room, it looks like it belongs there, lol. Yes, bobbin front drop in and yes auto wind. The other about the needle I need to check in to. I have a LOT to learn!! Thank you so much for talking about your love of pfaff. It was the vote of confidence I needed in that moment. I’m pretty excited!! Hugs 💜💜💜
Your machine looks amazing! I want to upgrade at some point this year as well. I have the same serger as you do but I have an inexpensive Brother Project Runway machine as my regular sewing machine. It's been great so far but I'd love to have some of those upgraded features! I look forward to hearing more updates as you begin to use it!!
My late hubby was my sewing machine angel. He bought me all my machines starting with my Bernina 830. That was in the 70s. I still have it. You're so funny! Congrats on the new machine what a great deal!
Thanks Cheri! 💜💜💜
That was sew much fun to watch... thank you
Thank you Cindy! 💜💜💜
You will love that walking foot! I love mine.
So happy for you! Enjoy your new amazing machine! ❤
Congratulations Stephanie, your new machine looks marvellous, have fun🧵💕💕
Your machine is beautiful! I know you will have a great time.
Your new machine is beautiful, enjoy getting to know her.

Stephanie, I'm having so much fun watching you be so excited! I think it is good to have a machine that's up to date. Love the bloopers!!
Bloopers were hysterical! Thanks for sharing that
Love the machine, happy sewing.❤️ ps I also enjoyed the car vlog sewing trip. ❤️

Lol. I had to laugh too. 😂🤣😂
Hi Stephanie. That's a beautiful machine, I love the color. You have certainly stepped up a notch. You could call her Iris. Cheers.
Congrats! I love the purple!! I’m excited for you and hope you’ll keep updating us on how it’s going! I can see why you trust your sewing guy- he seems like a really nice, honest man!
Congratulations on your new machine :) it's lovely :)
Congratulations on your new machine!!! You are going to love sewing on your Pfaff, and especially with IDT. I am so glad for you. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new gift to yourself. Enjoy
Thank you Mary! 💜💜💜
Congratulations on your new sewing machine, Stephanie. Use it in good health! 🙂❤🙂
Okay, I know I told you I love my over 40 year old Pfaff and don’t want a computerized sewing machine BUT now I want your sewing machine! I want a purple Pfaff!
Lol! Yes Sibyll, she is so pretty!! They know how to tempt us, don’t they?? 🤣😂💜💜💜
Love it! Enjoy.
Thanks Corina! 💜💜💜
Nice addition to your sewing room!!! She’s sew pretty!!! ❤Congratulations!!!🎉
Ok,,,, so I’m jealous. I wanna new to me machine too! With all the snowbirds in town,, this is NOT the best time in Tucson! Maybe in the heat of Summer! 😘😎🤠🌵🙏👏🏻🫶🏼💐🥴
Hi Karen, lol. I did not mean to send everyone running to the sewing store!😂🤣😂🤣
But I get it!! 💜💜💜
You’re going to love that machine! Pfaff machines have superb piercing power, something that is rarely advertised. I make bags on mine. Enjoy!
Congratulations! You are such a stitch! (Pun intended). Isn't it fun having a new toy! I bought my Elna 7200 Quilters Pro in 2006 new for $1500. Hi Alison, oh my gosh! I couldn’t believe I did that! I had to crawl around on the floor to find them all. 🤣😂🤣 Hugs💜💜💜
Enjoy your new to you machine! Fun video!
Thank you Glenda! 💜💜💜
Congratulations on your new machine! She is beautiful and you are going to LOVE it. 😃
Thank you Cathy💜💜💜
You are going to absolutely love your new machine. I have had a few Janome machines over the years and loved them but I moved up to a Bernina and the difference was remarkable. Good luck with your beautiful new baby.

I love both names!! 💜💜💜
Congratulations:-) :-) :-)
Thank you Carol!💜💜💜
Your new machine is beautiful. The automatic thread cutting is great. I don’t blame you for talking fast and being excited. I would be too! Enjoyed your video.
Hi Jane, yes! I feel pretty spoiled with all these features!!
Hugs 💜💜💜

Hi Joanne, I had to show those bloopers. I even laughed at myself!!! 😂🤣😂
Haha! Fun bloopers. I’ve been putting outtakes at the end of my videos since I started as it’s pretty rare for me to make it through an entire video without a blooper

I have the Janome Decor Computer DC3050; think it the same one, it’s my first new machine and had it for years…. Luv it
I still use the pfaff that my mom bought in the 50’s, still works great ! They are good machines.
Congrats on your new baby! I have an older Pfaff and it’s able to do embroidery as well and I really love it! I really enjoy watching your videos and listening to your chats and I’m looking forward to seeing the new projects you make with your new machine!
Thank you Maria! Hugs ❤️
My Pfaff 710 arrived today !!! We will be learning together !

Yay 🎉very exciting! Good for you. You’ve earned it. 😅 I especially love the built in walking foot! Wohoo! I enjoyed the bloopers 😂you reminded me of me. 🙌
Hi Jeannie, so far the machine is a dream!! And bloopers, I do them all day long, lol. 😂🤣
Hugs 💜💜💜
@@FarrellFocus excellent, glad the machine is fulfilling and maybe exceeding your expectations ! As far as the bloopers, then , I’m in good company! 😁
Hi Andrea, yes! This machine does so much more than I need! I’ll have to grow in to it! 😂💜
I also have a 980q. LOVE it and the color makes me so happy :)
Hi Stephanie! I have the same machine. I have had it for about a year and I love it. I think you will too!
Yay!! Thank you Kate! I’m already in love! 💜💜💜
Yes, just wow to all the advances in this machine. I also can’t see like I used to. 😩. I hope you are able to get back to sewing. 🙏🏻
Hugs to you! ❤️
Lol. Hugs ❤️
Congratulations! Congratulations! It's a beautiful machine and I know you're going to enjoy creating on your new toy. Hugs xxxx
Thanks Sherrie!! Hugs 💜💜💜
I have a Janome for my back up and a Baby Lock Lyric for my main. The baby lock was a gift from my husband. I also have a collection of older machines including my great grandmothers pedal machine.
Hi Pamela, Aw…your sweet hubby!! I love that! Hugs 💜💜💜
Hi Margaret, yes, I love it! I am truly enjoying it, right from the start. Hugs ❤️
Hi Sandy, I love that your hubby is so supportive. I’m lucky there too! And yes, love that walking foot and many other things. So so happy!! Hugs 💜💜💜
Mmmmmm gorgeous what can I say I have a janome which I love but you never know thanks for the video
Hi Robyn, I still love my Janome too! Hugs 💜💜💜
I love my featherweights (I have four), the three PFAFF sewing machines I have (all vintage) are work horses. That’s a beautiful sewing machine, congratulations on your purchase ❤
Hi Olivia, lol. That featherweight!! Who knew it was a “thing”? I gave it to my daughter and she will not part with it. 🤣😂🤣
Hugs 💜
Hi Nancy, well, so far…I’m in love!! I have so much to learn, but just doing the basics…well, it’s fantastic! I’m team pfaff now!! Hugs 💜💜💜
Hi Virginia, lol, if this machine lasts 25 years, it will be the only one I’ll ever need! 😂🤣😂
Hugs 💜💜💜
Well I thought about getting another serger with all the new ‘ bells & whistles’ since this one had some years on it but when I priced the new ones and thought about what all I do with it and what it has done for me and what the repair cost was going to be compared to a new one---
well I just couldn’t part with it and it runs just as smooth now as it did when I first got it- your can last you - care & maintenance is the answer 👍🏻
@@virginiakasselman5953 Lol. There will always be new bells and whistles! That’s how they get us! This new machine will last me a really long time!! 💜
Ooh, I'm ready for a new machine. I've only ever owned one, it was extremely well priced and I've used it loads, but I just think I would do even more with a new machine. I've been looking at Pfaff because of the dual feed, but I'm waiting until I can get to see some machines in person before I decide.
Hi Ruth, I am so excited! And feeling like I got a good deal really helps!! Hugs 💜💜💜
Tolle Maschine. Versuche alles zu verstehen, was sie vermitteln😊
How exciting, it looks fabulous. I bought a Bernette last year with a built in walking foot. Having a thread cutter is great. You might want to think about a knee lift for the presser foot, also great when you get used to it. I will never get used to sewing by pressing the button instead of the foot pedal, it scares me 😱
Hi Andrea, thank you! I’ll check in to that! Hugs 💜💜💜
Hi Sadie, a quilt…🤷🏼♀️, I can say that it has crossed my mind, lol. I love the name Violet! 💜💜💜
How exciting! So happy for you! It is a beautiful machine! Also, the bloopers 😅😂 . . So fun!
Thanks Lori!! Hugs 💜💜💜
❤
YEAH YOU..
💜💜💜
Did you keep the Singer Featherweight? They are very collectible!!!!!
Lol…I wish!! I gave it to my daughter years ago and she will not part with it. 😩🤣😂
You should name her Violet
🦋🦀💜
Hate it. Foot control does not work. I hate it, hate it, hate it.
Hi Sharon, that’s a bummer, can they fix it? 😞
I’m sure you’ll love your machine particularly the duel feed. I love my Pfaff and use the duel feed all the time. 🧵🪡🇦🇺
Hi Letitia, thank you! I’m so happy to be #teampfaff 💜
