If you are just starting out then it could be challenging to learn all of the trumpet fingerings. But it doesn't have to be difficult.
There are only seven positions on the trumpet and once you understand them and memorize them then mastering your fingerings will become second nature.
In this video I cover 31 notes including low F# all the way to "High C" above the staff. I include a photo of how the note would look in a trumpet chart as well as the fingering combination (for example low G is fingered 1 & 3).
If you are new or returning to the instrument and would like to master your trumpet fingerings then spend some time playing with this video. You'll learn your fingerings but you can also practice your long tones along with the video.
Remember to download. your fingering chart if you need it. The link is at the top of this description.

This is wonderful. Haven’t played in 50 years. It is perfect for a former brass player that has the urge to get back into trumpet again. Thanks.

Hi there Chris, I love your vids and watch nearly all of 'em, but when it comes to range I hit a brick wall at D or E above High C. It's driving me nuts. I can get an F# or F on a good day but they're not solid. Any tips?
I haven’t seen or heard you play so take this advice with a grain of salt. Make sure you’re not using two embouchure sets. . . One for high and another for low. Work from the mid register up so that you’re using the same set. Scales two octaves are great for this. Mid to high back to mid to low. One set. Clear? Hard to explain with words. This may be a topic for a future video.
@@ChrisDavisTrumpet I think I’ve developed two embouchure sets one for low and mid staff and one for high. Do you have any tips for overcoming this? I’ve found that I developed an aperture off center for high notes. I have a mean double buzz when playing high on-center
Can you use these notes as a flugelhorn? I just gotten my first brass instrument and I don’t really know what the notes are for my Flugelhorn
Yes, they are the same. Good question and good luck on your new journey! Reach out when and if you ever need me.
Hi Chris. What make of trumpet are you playing?
Edwards X-13
Is it the same for a pocket Bb trumpet ? Thanks for the video!
It’s the same, yes!
@@ChrisDavisTrumpet Thanks! greetings from Brazil!
