I'll Be With You When The Roses Bloom Again/ Tompall & The Glaser Brothers

A beautiful song indeed that was written back in 1901 by two of the best of their day.. Gus Edwards developed the Melody for it, & William D Cobb wrote the lyrics to it.. There is a photo of both composers on the video as well. I'm sure other artists have done this tune justice, but I've never heard it done better than this Glaser Brothers version..Unfortunately they never recorded it, what your hearing is from a live broadcast on the Opry stage in the mid to late 60's.. Enjoy it Neighbors, a special song it's always been, depicting a Soldier going off to War, and the Glaser Brothers tell the story quite well.. Thank you Folks !!!

No Sue, it is Tompall singing it, but he could sound like Marty very easily indeed..Thanks for asking, enjoy it, the Glaser Brothers wrote quite a few for Marty Robbins himself. This song was done live on the Opry stage, & is well over a 100 years old.. Take care now !!! @@babyblu76
