This is amazing. I got to know about Pokémon Ash Gray this week, downloaded, been playing it for the last couple of days and I'm mesmerized about it. I'm so addicted to it now. It's way better than Pokémon FireRed or Green Leaf. It's what Pokémon games should always have been. And to see it evolve from this to the beauty that it is today, it's incredible!
Thanks for making ash gray, even though there are waaaay more ash rom hacks some based off the anime others you play as ash just because
But yours was special to me it felt like I was actually ash in the game and it was pretty accurate for 90% of the time thanks.

@flaresword52 It's from the Johto season. It flashes back to before Gary and Ash become trainers. They both fish up a poke ball and want to keep it for themselves and end up breaking it in half. It's from "The Ties that Bind" episode, I think.
@SuperMegaEpicPower First, the latest beta is 3.6.1. You can get it from pokecommunity. Koga is found in the mansion before Fuchsia. Talk to the back of the statue and press B (back button) to get in.

Wow. This is the most impressive ROM hack I've seen in a while! Sure there's a few minor errors, but I'm sure you've corrected them by now.
Updated version of the intro has been attached. No more laughing at the weird looking Ho-oh flying by!

@TheIronJuggerNaut Nobody's putting a gun to your head. If you don't want to, don't play it. Also, this was an early beta. Many improvements have been made over the last two years I've been working on it.

@an0m0nus The latest version of the game, Beta 2.5z, is vastly improved from the version in this video. There is no Cut in the new version - you need a hatchet. Also, if you faint on the St. Anne, you do revive in the St. Anne in the new version.

Hey man I've been playing one of the newer versions of this game and I've reached celadon city but I can't get fly like I've heard ppl have done cutting down a tree in the city and I can't get past snorlax either what am I supposed to do please help me out.
You must patch the ips file to a clean Fire Red rom, then you can play it on VBA.
It also says that pikachu is an electic type instead of electric
lotta question ummm does the game like ends at a point like a demo version and you cant go anywhere or like its ike all the other where u beat e4 and continue to play
wait, when i played this, the lab had 2 floors and you choose between the regular starters but the balls are empty then oak gives pikachu

@rtor45 U hav to use an ips patcher to patch it,I suggest lunar ips patcher,google it and download it and patch and done!!!

Not to be mean, but Ash's sprite looks like you just drew over RED's in Microsoft paint. also, shouldn't pikachu always be out of the pokeball?

i download pokemon ash gray gba i liked it i downloaded it at (4shared.com) but first you have to sign in then choose the language and then wait for download to finish it worked it is an awesome site
