Yeah you’d think prices like that would pay for the privilege of not having to take their consulting and bear their vandalism. It’s like paying the organized crime protection fees and having them firebomb your business anyway. That’s how you know they are still ideologically captured. Games journalist haven't gotten over Gamergate and have been doing this for a decade now. See they can use the usual tricks on countries that go along with the usual woke shaming tactics and this works for games developers in the west. However now they're dealing with China and a Chinese games developer, they don't play by the rules of Woke/DEI/Bridge/ESG types. Games journalist must destroy the reputation and the sales number of Black Myth: WuKong, because the success of this game will be a direct attack on the legitimacy on game journos and companies like SBI.
The success of this game signals to the rest of the gaming world that you do not need these people and this will cause a legitimacy crisis of "games journalist" and "consulting companies" like SBI.
Idk chief, Sbi has done a terrific job in making sure i never buy another insomniac game again. It wasn't just the game director doubling down on the trash MJ missions that nobody wanted to play, but the fact they shit all over Peter's character to try and lift up Miles and Mj. They completely ruined sm2 for me.
I heard about the MJ missions in sm2 from my friends. I haven’t seen much gameplay of sm2 other than just Miles flying in his wingsuit and a quick clip of a gamer raging at a boss fight. I would like to play and experience the sequel for myself, but one of the things I keep hearing about are the MJ missions.
Could I ask that you please explain why the MJ missions are considered trash in the sequel? I’m assuming that MJ missions in the sequel are like the ones in first game, and it may be that I wasn’t paying close enough attention to notice but I didn’t have a problem with them and I haven’t really heard anybody talking about them.

@@eleos-7845I played it earlier this year but tbh I remember more of everything but the mj missions. They were pretty boring, but it wasn’t as cumbersome as its let on to be. They didn’t get it perfect, but I think it was similar to any boring mission you play in a game then forget 5 mins later. I would say I don’t think it ruined the experience for me personally. I’d say give it a shot.
@@eleos-7845Oh shit I didn’t explain why the missions were trash. Basically she gets some tazer or something and it becomes a stealth mission with sub par stealth and shooter mechanics. Also runs for a little too long. Not exactly what a Spiderman fan is looking for. Side note: The way the mission occurs is pretty forced and ends up being like the scene in scary movies when you tell someone to run and they end up investigating instead.

Compared to playing as a superhero slinging through the sky, being FREAKIN SPIDERMAN, playing as a regular person who can’t do any of that stuff in a game about being spiderman would be boring and make me want to get back to the action as fast as possible.

I have a theory that alongside the racketing fees that SBI is charging, anytime they kill a studio with their malignant drivel and the inevitable tanking sales that coincide with said drivel the whole staff of SBI will raid that now dead studio and take everything that isn't nailed down and sell it off for profit. Some tech in gaming and game-making industries can go for thousands if not TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. Think about it. No doubt they'll release a demo.
Let’s reflect on the sheer insanity of a 7 million dollar payment for consulting services on a single game. No way in hell is that going to the labor fees of the consultants. Glad to see someone stand up and call these people out for what they do to our games to extort $ and political power. Someone should make up a charter for all gamers to sign about not buying games that they or their other company's consult on, and send it to all major game studios, that way it will give game company's reason to get rid of them and also stop using IGN for any gaming news or reviews.
I can't express how angry this "you must make women uglier" thing makes me. For the simple fact that video games are art and an artist MUST do whatever the fuck he/she wants when he/she makes art... then if it sucks that's another matter, but in the meantime he/she must have the opportunity. I'm a female who also enjoys playing games. To know that such a company exists makes me angry and to see what poison "Sweet baby Inc" is injecting into games, gives me the exact same questions as you. How are these people funded? Possibly from all the stupid companies paying them, thinking they're doing some good. Sadly more games like Suicide Squad (a game I originally had interest in playing) will be released and they will fail because of what they have done. This is not how to do it. I've seen this happen to my favourite TV shows like Doctor Who, see it happen to movies I liked and now it's invading my games. When will it stop? When will writers be free to write good stories again? It's not only the frustration for seeing the uglification of female characters but male characters are being watered down, being made soft and useless.

I also grew up watching Monkey Magic. It aired at 4pm and watching it was the first thing I did when I got home from school.. so, a big part of my childhood. I thought this game looked incredible from it's first teaser and I have never been swayed from my intention to buy it. Knowing that SBI apparently tried to extort Game Science, I'll buy two copies now - best case scenario, SBI can add this title to their no doubt growing list of failed attempts; worst case scenario, Game Science gets my small amount of money to encourage them to keep integrity, which I'm thrilled to see that they're doing. Either way it's a win-win. Maybe it'll be three copies..😄

As a writer, a gamer and a growing artist. There is room for every expression of life, from the most ideal to that which is unsymmetrical. The problem is deeper than uglification. This is a LACK of creativity problem. We are forcing women into old archetypes (Male or Female) whilst changing only the appearance and it doesn't fit. The archetype of vixen doesn't work with someone that is average. However on the other hand some previous depictions have been extreme. I remember as a girl being a fan of my favourite SF character sakura, and have her flash her underwear every two seconds whilst she fights used to be piss me off. I'm glad that the male gaze is being challenged. But un thoughtful designs of female or even ethnically, sexually diverse characters and forcing them into existing archetypes is lazy.

When seen the game trailer I was excited a bit. Than I have seen the release date August. Was also excited a little. A bit disappointed when seeing Xbox release was delayed. Later reminded myself "it's just a game bro" Whatever happens, happens. I know from experience that I won't hurry before purchasing the game anyway. This means I will wait at least 6 months after release date to play it. It's going to leave me plenty time to see if this game is up to my standards.

They tried this with stellar blade and failed. I like the look of this game and will pick it up so long as SBI have no part in it. So long as gamers don't buy the games SBI touches, companies will eventually pull out and no londger work with them. That is how we as gamers win.
After finding out about this game 3 years ago ive been wanting this game ever since, so much so that ihat ive recently purchased a Sun Wukong figure and his staff, ive alao been doing my own research about Journey to the West and i love thr story, ive watched the live action trilogy of the Monkey King 1-3 and i was fascinated by the lore, I will not only purchase this game on stream but im gonna play the hell out of it when i do, its coming near my birthday and i will enjoying it as my birthday present for myself.
Im glad i didn't get Spider-Man 2 tho, im a die hard Spider-Man fan but even i couldn't stomach with buyung that game and finding out what they did to it. Bump Sweet Baby Inc. and any other AAA company that is on this DEI bullshit.

I have been waiting for this game for a long time and I am going to buy it, play it and enjoy it.
The only game they got me with was Alan Wake 2. I didn’t even pay attention to this mess at the time and I was just looking forward to more of that awesome universe. They haven’t gotten me since and they won’t again. I’m sad to have to ignore SH2…I’ve waited AGES for that game. I’m an OG ‘99 SH fan so that hurts…

43 myself been gaming since i was 6 i was interested in a Asassins Creed game in japan since i played Tenchu and the first Assassins Creed. However after i seen their DEI samurai and them say they were going to make both protags gay i noped out. I Skipped Odyssey and Valhalla and i plan to skip Shadows because i am so tired with how woke is destroying all entertainment. I still got Assassins Creed Mirage so im good lol.

Just to correct you. It's not a playstation game. It's on pc playstation and on Xbox . It's just coming out on pc and ps5 first. Then coming out on Xbox a bit later. The reason for this is the Xbox series S is holding up the release on the Xbox platform. So it's not a playstation game. And I own all platforms so I'm not stating this because I'm an Xbox fanboy.
It's very simple why they are trying to tank the industry, once you look at them as one of these Greedy CEOs. They are trying to make as much money as possible, and they can only do that by causing issues because if the gaming industry tanks, but they got millions they will be fine. It's not just the game devs not wanting a SBI inclusivity consultation. China has laws in place which prevent a game studio shovelling in DEI. So even if they wanted to, they can't and I doubt they want to in any case, as an Eastern dev is highly unlikely to care about Western 'how to kill your studio' ideology. All the IGN stuff is based on translations which are poorly translated, ignoring colloquial slang and jokes and taking things entirely out of context. Somehow I'm not in the slightest bit surprised.

The story i heard about not needing female players was that it was a response to a strategy in China where the gamemakers advertised that their games have a huge female playerbase as a way to attract male players.

I had no interest in Black Myth just over the fact that Journey to the West type deals are pretty common. Knowing they aren't bothering with Sweet Baby makes it more appealing. The whole idea of witch hunting people is just annoying and I honestly can't stand those types. It's culty. Have your own opinions on right and wrong instead of following the Twitter commandments. The guy does nothing wrong except try to pass good character designs and expose how they're rejected. What part of that means he doesn't deserve safety or that people who agree can't be involved in events you aren't running? Only a matter of time until you witch hunt yourselves down so low you won't have the numbers to even matter as a movement anymore.
I believe alot of studios are in on all the negative publicity. How is now all of a sudden every great game that comes out there is controversy about the game. I would be suprised if they paid the 7 million dollar and are using the negative publicity to bring more light and attention to their games so that people would buy the game out of rebellion.
