- We got to take a ride in the restored 1992 Mack Superliner owned by Callan Day and his family painted up under there business Pace Contracting. It took two years for the rebuild to be finished with many very talented people being involved to get it to where it is today. A very tasteful restoration congratulations to all involved. That’s not a truck !!!!!!!!!!…..that is a friggin work of rolling art!!!!!!!!……the attention to detail is incredible and I simply love the old school style that this beautiful truck shows!!!!!!!!!….without a doubt one of the nicest trucks I’ve ever seen in my humble opinion!!!!!!!!….
There ain’t nothing like that popping sound of a e9 Mack engine it’s fantastic
Beautiful truck Will the sound of a V8 Mack never gets old , here in Australia the Superliners are making a big come big come back making 3 times what they were worth new 30 years ago thanks for showing your truck
The last Superliner I drove in the states was very similar to this one except we had polished aluminum alcoa disc wheels. It also had the twin air cleaners and twin stacks. It was ordered with the high torque drive line with the cast steel carrier bearing brackets because the original stamped steel ones kept snapping. And it also had the Williams air throttle that was Mack’s way of getting around the stretching of the throttle cable on earlier models from the air ride cab . This was before drive by wire. We had the air pressure of the throttle turned up which in turn brought the horsepower and torque up. Mine was delivering 690 horses to the ground and putting out 2,450 pounds of torque. I pulled a gas tanker semi trailer and never had a problem loading it overweight and pulling the hills
Beautiful
Cool Kiwi's 👍😎👍A travelling work of Art from the past !!!
How I love your beautiful Superliner ❤, My Dad's Superliner was the first one sold at Baltimore Mack. They are heart stopping because they are Mack. I only had license to drive my ❤❤❤❤DM600 dump truck, but when Dad went away I always got to bring that baby home after a hard days work. I had a learners permit. I spent my growing up in the shop, no one ever quit so I was very spoiled at the shop. Just listening to this makes me want to turn time back❤!
Thanks for watching this is a friend of mines Mack it has been restored and is very much loved sounds like you have a great history with Mack trucks and family

Bloody awesome day filming a bloody awesome Superliner. Looks like it’s ready to go out on the road making money again because my god there’s a lot of love gone into that truck a.
A real credit to you guys reviving the Superliner to make it look great 👍🏻 and to the guys who filmed it unbelievable great job as well.

Absolutely stunning, been waiting for this one and it certainly did not disapoint.
Very cool video will 👍 I used to drive a v 8 Mack 👍 i have always loved the sound of a v 8 Mack 😁 the old v8 cats was another favorite of mine 👍 thanks for the video will 👍
It's amazing how the front end of this New Zealand unit advertises the Canadian kids' TV show, Paw Patrol, which is a very decent show to watch in my opinion. It looks like it's meant for a children's amusement event. Excellent exterior and onboard footage!
Love the sound of the air starter!
A beautiful truck with an excellent sound 🤩
If is not a mack 💪🏆 you might as well take it back 💪
Lovely 💪💪💪

Yes it is
Will, fine last name
What engine? Inn your truck
0:02: Looks like a tyre airgun.
no over reving too which is a nice change for a V8 mack video
at idle sounds just like a 7.3 powerstroke then takin off I got a 3406 sound then reved out more like the 7.3 ps
Basically a Scania V8, only thing that differs, is the heads :P and ofc the bane on the block.
Hmm yeah nah..
The first 4 vehicles; including a pickup truck, all abruptly steered to the edge of the roadway upon seeing you come around a curve = they seemed to take "defensive driving" to the extreme. Maybe they have heard the American saying that describes somebody that engaged in fisticuffs and sustained black eyes, cut lips and a broken nose: ' "You look like you got hit by a Mack truck!"... 😂🤣
Cycìlia..
I love it mate, beautiful rig. ✌🙂🇦🇺🦘
Why air starter?
pour éviter une panne de batterie
The starter operates off the braking system air reservoir, If air 'res runs low an air hose can be connected to a tyre and fill air tank for start, refill tyre when engine started.
More reliable than most electric starters over time.
Drove a couple of Australian built and spec'd Superliners in the past, great truck to drive , both had Mack 12 speed box, with full noise retarder they sound great pulling and braking!
The Mack E9 V8 and the GM 671's 892 and 12 cylinder 2 strokes are real 'blasts ' from the past, nothing else sounds like them except the very similar to Mack mighty Scania V8 that if I remember correctly has a different firing order.
The Jake (valve brake) on the 6/71's at revs has few comparisons for cool sound and much more effective than the later Euro exhaust retarders. Clack clack clack.............
New rigs are so much quieter and more refined than the old classic, autos, no 21 speed Spicers, twin stick quad boxes, 3 lever Spicers, the beast is now very subdued by comparison however the engines are more fuel efficient, quiet, more comfortable ride and cab interior.but electronic nightmares and some failing at quite low mileages.
I'd take a Superliner or Road Boss for a restomod, but for gruelling long distance interstate a Kenworth K220 or Scania V8 would be easier on the driver, but a conventional cab Kenny for the outback work.
