I am happy to see that you still drive such a amazing car my dude.
Myself I bought the same one but 2020 Version 3-4 months ago .
So far I am very satisfied,as a former car mechanic I can approve of the car been very good and a solid choice.
Yes its interior is lacking but how cheap its made and with the features it has,its affordable to repair too.
I rather have such replaceable and easy to get parts then a expensive AF dashboard made out of Wood or Leather.
The i30N's flexibility in terms of Tuning is endless.
You Buy the car because its a Hot Hatch,Because it has a simple yet fun Engine and because its part of a astounding community of car owners.
I had 0 trouble with mine ever since I bought it (Apart from the previous 2 owners abusing the absurd amount that tore the from summer tires to drag/drift tires)
The Hyundai i30N I would recommend for Car enthusiast of any kind that wants to have a good car and to take care of it.

Great review. Looking for one in the near future before engines get killed. Perfect balance of price, looks, sound and performance.
Main concern are its emissions and the burocratic problems that will come in the next years. Congrats and continue enjoying the i30n, it's difficult to see 100k km on these cars.

@@JazzysTrove Its a really nice hot hatch along with the Gr Yaris and Golf R/VAG. One thing to note before buying a hothatch, is that alot of used ones have been driven by younger people, which usually have resulted in a crash, extremely hard driven or both, just a thing to look for. Best owner to buy from is a older dad/pensionier that bought it new.

I'm still looking to buy one new. I was set on a I20n but unfortunately this car got axed in my country and the only option to buy is the I30n DCT and I really wanted the manual even if the DCT is really good from what I see.
Besides the waiting time for it is 1+ years to receive it... and until then the new Civic Type R will come. So I'm still waiting. Maybe, in the end I will look for a second hand one.

Great review. I was planning to make one myself this summer but I'm just going to share yours haha. As a co owner I can say that this is indeed what you get. With covid I got a lot less km's(my work commune is short & hobby's are on hold). But so far so good, very reliable car.
For the ones interested on how it handles on track. You can feel that it's a relatively heavy car mid turn. I upgraded the brake pads but they seem to be performing as good as the standard ones. So I'm going to swith back to the Hyundai ones once these wear out. The ABS allows you to push the car, it will only kick in when youre locking. The car is also very well balanced. A tiny bit of oversteer especially in the wet, but it's FWD so you gas yourself out of those slides. And the front differential is amazing. Took me a while to find its limits, that's how great it is. You get some body roll with semi slicks but nothing too concerning. The standard tires are bad for track driving, after 10min you can feel them melt so you're gonna need a track set. If you get them installed do it in a shop so they can link the tire pressure sensors and you'll be able to see your tire pressures live. On track the pressure can go up 1 bar. So I suggest to check them after every run.
Other then that great car. My interior is a bit rattly which annoys me a bit. But you can't expect to drive it on track attack some curbs and keep it in mint condition. All electronics work, I like the gps lay-out and instructions. For Belgian roads I keep the suspension on soft and lane assist off. But like I said, everything works even after some abuse so all good until now :).

Thanks for this review. I've bought a second hand i30N (2018 model, 23.000 km on the clock) nearly 2 months ago. Not the special blue color but the grey color. Not my first choice but it looks very good. I was wondering why you'renot talking about the lifetime of the P Zero tires, and the regular maintenance plus possible drawbacks. But I could read them in the reactions. At the moment I have an average fuel consumption of 11,3 km a liter after 4000 kilometers. That's less than in my former car, a Renault Megane RS (2011).

Once thing I noticed to get rid of axle tramp which is really bad on these cars, just pump up the P-zeros to 48-50PSI cold, then it spins the tires easier without the axle tramp, not to mention actually wears the tires out more evenly.

Hi mate I own one late 2019 MY20 plated N, and the suspension in softest mode is bearable still not as good as a sedan, but a lot more tolerable than in N mode.
As soon as I know I'm hitting some roughish roads I put it in custom mode, where I have the suspension in Normal/Soft Mode, ESC turned off, Rev match on, Exhaust sound right up high, engine power level Medium. The weird thing that blew me out was the ECO mode using more fuel than in N mode, I think the most Fuel Economic mode is Normal Driving Mode which I use with Rev match on. HAVE YOU BOUGHT ONE YET?

Cheers from Denmark, and thank you for the video. A nice walkthrough of the car and its many features. I would love to watch a video where you go over the driving experience more in depth. I like how you noticed the auto rev when engaging the clutch. I'm thinking that if you let go of the throttle first, and the the clutch just after it will not blip the throttle? Maybe? :D
Furthermore could you elaborate on the exhaust, and what it sounds like in the different modes?
    My understanding is as follows:
Normal mode = yeah well.. normal.. haha :D "muffled" sound, but still a bit loud as you also mentioned
Sport mode = more sound bot no/only few bangs
Sport+ mode = more sound and all the bangs and pops
    Is this correct?
I'm looking to get an i30N but there are none for sale here in Denmark.. they are pretty rare sadly. And due to the current situation used cars are not cheep. I found one which was for sale only briefly. it was a 2018 with 70.000 km, but in excellent condition. it was priced at just over 40.000 euros!

I you drive chill on the Autobahn and B-roads, i can get it down to 8.0L without effort. If you push it hard, like mountain roads etc, it can go up to 12L for me. Hope it helps✌
