There's nothing more satisfying than cutting up paper with a newly made blade. I caught my shop floor on fire several times because it was littered with cut up newspaper debris..... Love the 2 face design too btw. Nice job!
16 thumbs down? How the hell are you going to give this video a thumbs down? Awesome work man. Wouldn’t mind having a whole set of these beauties for the kitchen.
I may not know what the hell is going on 90% of the time, but what I do know is that it always ends up stunning. And that’s why I keep coming back to this channel. Excellent work!
There's something atavistically *right* about the sound of a hammer falling on iron or steel. It's a primitive - primeval even - sound; the sound of creation.
Davvero bello e ben fatto complimenti... Ogni video sempre più al top.. mi piacerebbe venire ad imparare nel tuo laboratorio per conoscerti un saluto da Bologna
Man, I've been watching your channel for awhile now and it's been awesome to see your skills build as you improve your craft. I think this might be my favorite knife you've produced. It's amazing!
I'm a Nakiri fan. I loved the job you did on the Nakiri DIY, but the handle on the Chanelle Chef's Knife DIY, was just next level off the wall! People are paying $1,000's for that kind of craftsmanship. Well done!
You got my vote for sure, even after seeing all the other knives I really like the one you made best. Great to see you all doing what you love and thriving at it! Thanks so much for sharing!
Amazing work as usual. I love that you do such work and showing each step to allow anyone to learn from you. Thank you for helping the knife making community grow.
Wow. This knife is on a whole new level. Definitely going to use some of the tricks you showed. That pattern turned out beautifully with the nickel and hamon. And that's an absolutely ingenious way of simplifying the handle fit up. I haven't watched most of the videos yet, but I'm pretty sure your guyto will win. If not, I'm prepared to see knives even more beautiful than this. All the best.
what a beautiful job you did making that knife im very new to bladesmithing less than a year you guys are my inspiration i hope to be this good 1 day thanks black beard
⚡️⚡️⚡️ Fantastic work as always. I always learn something new from your processes. (The pin in the drill to twist the tight pin in - BRILLIANT!) I appreciate your work and am glad to be a part of this challenge. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
At least I have the same bandage making skill as you, lol. (I'm an electrician) Simply amazing work, bravo. I look forward to learning more about each of the steps you use and trying myself.
10 superb gyuto knives! 🤩 Congratulations to the 10 participants and I hope this is only the first collaboration of a long series. 😍 I was able to enjoy seeing the blades making, from, at first glance, simple to complex and all would have their place in my kitchen ... except, maybe, the Faraway Forge one, my kitchen is too small 🤣
I love the knifemaking community on youtube and how you personally have supported the up-and-comers over the years! Kudos. This gyuto is gorgeous, the wood has amazing grain: what is it?
Wow! You guys have all done such a great job! I don't know if I can pick just one favorite. All makers in this challenge are pretty awesome thus far. I still have more to go. Thank you all for doing this!
This is an abolutely stunningly beautiful knife! I love what you did with it! Question, though. Not being all that familiar with Japanese style knives, why is the fuller only on one side? I'm sure there is a reason but, I just don't know what it is. Thanks for another great video!
Wow, this is an awesome Chef-knife. It's looking beautiful and does its job. Thanx for sharing this. But, I think this is too expensive for me. None the less, I love your work.
Wow sarebbe un perfetto regalo per il mio compleanno... peccato che ho letto sul tuo sito che non vendi, comunque per me il miglior lavoro, complimenti!
I think the next time I did that I would either place 3 or 4 of the plates on the magnetic tabel at a time or cut the pieces to a length that would work and grind fewer pieces
Beautifully done! Stunning pattern and design, and I've never seen that mounting system for the tang using the slotted dowel before! May I ask- how do you cut the steel using a bandsaw? Is it a wood saw with a metal blade, or a metal bandsaw that looks like a wood saw? Either way- well done, and congratulations on making such an incredible piece!
Would you please tell us the name and specification of the material that is rubbed on the knife before heating at 7:30 minutes, we will be very grateful if you tell us the brand and where to get it (buy)
I love these videos, I wish I could fabricate and forge metal in the way you do, the best I can do is dunk e-waste components into resin and hope for the best, what you do is a real art form!! Brilliant finish on the blade and the handle was superb! 👍
Wow! That handle is amazing. As much I like the blade, I might like the handle even more. Great work.
This knife shows perfectly how far you've come in the last few years. Excellent work.
There's nothing more satisfying than cutting up paper with a newly made blade. I caught my shop floor on fire several times because it was littered with cut up newspaper debris..... Love the 2 face design too btw. Nice job!
By far, this is the most satisfying knifemaking vid for me. Love your work and your arts in your knifemaking. Greetings from Malaysia!!
So awesome! I love that is two sided. That’s definitely something that I have never seen before! Top notch for sure.

16 thumbs down? How the hell are you going to give this video a thumbs down? Awesome work man. Wouldn’t mind having a whole set of these beauties for the kitchen.
I love seeing all your builds and modifications get used in new vids. It feels like we are there along with you as you build your shop.
It's like the easter eggs you find in games or cameos you see in movies. It's entertaining to spot.
That hidden tang and handle set up are next level!
I may not know what the hell is going on 90% of the time, but what I do know is that it always ends up stunning. And that’s why I keep coming back to this channel. Excellent work!
I love watching fabrication of any kind, but blacksmithing has a medieval quality about it all its own.
There's something atavistically *right* about the sound of a hammer falling on iron or steel. It's a primitive - primeval even - sound; the sound of creation.
hi, i'm new to this business, can you see how i restore??.
Nothing says medieval like a power hammer and an electric heat treat oven. ;-P

Man, I've been watching your channel for awhile now and it's been awesome to see your skills build as you improve your craft. I think this might be my favorite knife you've produced. It's amazing!
Beautiful - I love the dowel technique for attaching the stick tang!
This piece is so brilliant, you can enjoy both the Damascus pattern weld and the hamon. Amazing skill
One beautiful knife. Love that one side is concave so you can get to see those Damascus layers. I give this a definite 10 out of 10. 👍👍👍
bellissima la fasciatura al dito "home made" classica di noi artigiani....carta cucina e nastro isolante!😄👍

Amazing work as usual. I love that you do such work and showing each step to allow anyone to learn from you. Thank you for helping the knife making community grow.
Before I forget: what a prime quality job you've done there.
