Wow i love your testimony. I found the lord when i was homeless. And growing up i always wanted to go to an HBCU and plague delta. I got the chance to go back to school and i was tempted to join but i didnt because fearing of the lord is the foundation on wisdom and i wanted wisdom. I Thank the lord you came up from among them.
This was another excellent, balanced denouncing and renouncing video. I denounced and renounced SGRHO in 2020. The process is NOT easy, but when the Holy Spirit showed me what I had done, heart was so broken, yet thankful the He gave me grace to get out. I am grateful to God. I could NEVER, cuz i woulda been rejected for insubordination lmbo But i do get it. It's the life that comes with it. When i was in high school, they took us to LSU to a "clean" Greek party, and Greek life just seemed like everything you wanted to be a part of. You would have to experience it to know. And when you're a kid and so impressionable, you can be easily persuaded or swayed into that fun life. Then they paint is so nice with all the favor in career moves and sisterhood and staying connected for life. It seems like a no brainer, which makes that lil short suffering worth it. I was always interested, but my spirit would just never let me go any further than that.
But for Sisterhood or Brotherhood... to get beaten willingly!!

I was considering becoming active again because my daughter was wanting to pledge and these type of videos and various testimonials have been coming into my path. But as I got older I was like why do all the Greeks have the jobs. Now I know. Thank you for your testimony I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha and I have had issues with it. First when I went through the pledging process and the rituals and the oaths that we pledged our allegiance to. I have always felt a certain way about it. And through the years. I never got involved deeply with alpha because of that. But since then I have come to the conclusion that I needed to denounce. I did share my denouncement with one of my Alpha Phi Alpha brothers and he definitely had an attitude about what I was doing and brought up all these superficial good things that he said God would not be against. And that he would know if there was something ungodly about the frat..... But I want to thank you for your breakdown of the processes of having a covenant with something other than God. I've been binging these denouncement videos for the past few days because I think the stories are enlightening and I get a unique nugget from each one. What clicked with this one is that those nightly hazing activities, which you all say cause a lot of fear and anxiety, are like the hauntings we see in movies where people get possessed. Every night over a period of time, they get terrorized until they're finally weak enough for the possession. Another way to think of it is that their vibration becomes low enough that it's closer to the low vibration of the dark entity, allowing easier entry. This might be what's happening with the pledges. You say the hazing is designed to break the girls' spirits. This is perhaps literal as well as figurative.
Also, it came to mind that maybe all those purchases the pledges are forced to make are actually offerings.
Lastly, I wonder if you all ever felt like you were in a trance or altered state of mind when you're doing things in unison like strolling. Some of you look like it.

That’s a part I didn’t cover in this video that I truly wish I had… my grades suffered tremendously. I had to retake certain courses, I would just go to class to sleep and escape. It’s really counterproductive to the education element of college,

How did organizations that were created by and for blacks during a period of segregation, racism, denial of rights to vote, and constant rejection from receiving education unless at an HBC become demonized? What happened to the original purpose of these groups which was created over 100 years ago?
Overtime, the purposes changed and morphed into a trauma bond and a way to feel important in high society. Many individuals join for different reasons. Unfortunately, those reasons have outdone the initial purpose of what the founders intended for the future.
What a lot of people don’t know is that these black Greek letter organizations are offspring of freemasonry, it didn’t start with them alone. Someone back then didn’t understand the word or knew it and didn’t care, and placed themselves or a group of people on a certain pedestal. They thought these Greek Gods and Goddess were just mascots and whatnot when they are actually real to that part of civilization. The ritual books have always had Bible verses in them that took words out to fill it with their sorority/fraternity name instead of God or Jesus which was previously there. They have always had those hymns that reference how all of their love peace and happiness are devoted to their organization. And the hymns about being the “captain of my soul and master of my fate”. The shields have always had the Greek Gods and Goddesses labeled on them.
This was the original purpose.
Attention-seeking lames were initiated, that's how. They were lame before and are still lame today. The original purposes have never changed, just the class of membership over the last 30-40 years. Many have given passes to their homeboys or homegirls because they were "cool," but they've never saw the mission statements through. But they were at them probates, stepshows, house parties, and picnics wide open! Simply put, they used the D9 org to glow up, then when the lights faded, they fell back and never moved to the alumni level to ensure the integrity and model the founders built was protected. Pretty sad to see tbh.
But these same folk sit in church listening to a pastor who's knocking off one of the congregants while his wife is "tending to her wifely duties at home." Or they themselves are sliding with one of the deacons while his wife is at work.

because my grandmother passed in 2022 and my aunt who's in aka decided to bring a bunch of members from aka to speak at our house and they brought cupcakes. Here my aunt didnt want us eating the cupcakes they brought for us. Also when they were at my grandmothers house some women were very sweet but others had this mean girl vibe. Then the day of my grandmother funeral one of the ladies who we never seen spoke about my grandmother which was odd.

I am a Christian first. I am a Delta as well. I love and serve my Lord and Savior with my whole heart. I enjoy serving my community and fellow man along side my Delta sisters and I always will. Anything I do with and for Delta takes nothing away from my life in Christ. I worship the one and only true God. Delta is the means I have chosen by which I do good for others and enjoy the benefits of sisterhood. I could have chosen many other organizations or ministries but God is blessing me right where I am.

The ritual, oath, and official book.... The one that distorts God's Word... Negates all the good work you do to uplift the organization (not God) and put them in good light, as you are trying to do with your comment. D9 org is NOT a ministry and belongs in the world and nowhere near the church. If you not talking Scripture, and how Delta distorts God's Word, no need to reply. You can't love God with all your heart and mind and soul and might and also give all your love peace and happiness to Delta. Talk about that. We really don't care that you pay hundreds of dollars to do charity work you could be doing with your church for free.
You can still serve the community without being in a sorority. That is a lame excuse. Come out from amongst them! Also idolizing a Greek Goddess is idolatry. Are you greek?
Except the part about giving your love, peace and happiness to Delta is not about God, it's about other organizations and. The oaths, pledges etc are to remove you from other organizations, not God! Ans anyone who would put an organization before God or even understand it to be saying that maybe do not need to be in any organization as they can be easily mislead. So it's great that she had this awakening if she was putting DST above God and understood those rituals as asking her to put the organization first.

Well, if you were putting a sorority before God, then it makes sense that your eyes had to be open. The way I understand the rituals, songs, oaths is as they relate to other organizations. So "all my love, peace and happiness given to Delta", not other organizations. And anyone who is knowledgeable of the English language can DEDUCE after hearing the sweetheart song that "my first love is DST" rather than the frat love. Making pledges, and oaths is to love and serve DST ans not OTHER ORGANIZATIONS! A true Christian understands that it's God always above anything else, so it could never be an organization first. Perhaps becsue you didn't understand that, you saw everything as putting the organization even above God. And like said if that were the case, than u did need that eye opener. But now you are twisting things to fit your narritive. You lost me at the sweetheart song. It talks about her connection to all the D9 frats, but above all of them, NOT God, her first love is DST. I don't think she will get sued...she has a religious freedom coupled with other 1st Amendment right. Unless she signed a non-disclosure, she should be ok there. I do recommend all D9 leaders swiftly implement Non-disclosures as part of the initial selection process. On another note: I think she is wrong and completely trying to tie D9 to ungodly principles. Dr. MLK who was an Alpha, a Pastor, a Civil Rights Activist, and a Theologian did his homework. He profoundly addressed why we have Alpha in his 50th Anniversary speech in 1956.
