pdrohberg oh really? where do you see his stats and how do you see your winrate? did you record it from the beginning? btw, can you tell me about those misplays?
amaz is certainly one of the more entertaining ones, though his overacting gets annoying sometimes (i used to defend it but i guess every gag becomes boring if you see it too many times). but about popular streamers in general: to me they all have their own niche. amaz gives laughs, kripp has always good opinions of current meta and arena, trump is tutorial guy, reynad is public laughingstock because of his saltiness. and of course above all: noxious with his randuin wrynn and all other crazy decks. imo he's funnier than amaz and tries to make hearthstone what it should look like: innovative and fun decks instead of that aggro crap. I guess my point was that you cannot compare streamers too much since they all do their own thing
Deathlord has helped me bring decks to twelve wins a couple of times before. It's best in an aggressive early game deck where you have a lot of stuff to protect. Say, if Deathlord keeps two 3/2 minions safe from a Water Elemental or some 4 drop for a bit, that's potentially 12+ extra damage to face, which is a ton when you have a lot of burst in your deck. The Naturalize was hilarious, but generally you feel fine playing it against any class except Priest and Hunter (Pain and Mark). Usually it just drags out a 3/3 or smaller, and if you've got the opponent on the ropes, you don't really care what it drags out as long as it isn't a taunt. If it's turn 5 or past, then you really want to play some other 2 attack minion first to check for Kodo though.
it can help you to mill in certains deck, like mill decks and fatigue. For example : you drop a deathlord because you know next turn youll brawl hes entire board anyway and plus it doesnt trigger battle cries, so sometime you can destroye alextraza or antique heal bot for no value to the opponent... but it still bad in general ;)
Yeah, Deathlord is really, REALLY bad most of the time. The games where he will summon a strong minion for your enemy without giving you any value far outnumber the ones where he's going to stop a lot of aggro and summon something bad... I only pick it if my other options are Murloc Raider and Target Dummy.
target dummy is a mech...mech synergizing...murloc is a murloc...possible murloc synergizing...how the fuck do you synergize deathlord. Still the worst card out of the three
I just played a few games with deathlord in arena. First time it's deathrattle triggered it summoned a 2/1 and I was like "Ha, this isn't so bad", but of course the next time it triggered it summoned a Ragnaros..... in arena.....
*death lord brings out deathwing, dragonlord* oh, its ok... i have BGH *kills deathwing dragon lord* ahh there we go! *deathwing, dragon lord brings out ysera and normal deathwing* 0_0 -_- *uninstalls game*
Worst I ever got was Ended my turn with 2 deathlords in play, First one got killed, summoned Ragnaros, who Fireballed the second one, summoning Deathwing
Suicidal Guide to Survival You didnt get the joke...Hes basically saying that Malorne sucks in Druid, but its good when a hunter gets it out of a webspinner...
Luc Cobain It's better for druid than it is for hunter right now, you can at least use it as a nice thing for a mill druid gimmick, but hunters have a phobia of playing cards that cost more than 4 mana. Especially if they don't guarantee the ability to hurt face.
Suicidal Guide to Survival Got rank 4 with it 2 seasons ago :D Probably because nobody expects it. I have been playing midrange hunter since 5 Seasons. I never tried SMOrc and i never will.
he didn't have removal for the 4/3 so you could've attacked the Venture Co. with your 3/9 Deathlord to ensure that he contests him, also because you risk a 2 attack buff like with IronDwarf or something like that. Now going to the topic of the video, I thought he would play a Kodo and wreck you xD so I agree that it's a card with high risk and above average reward.
***** he could have topdecked it the same way he topdecked naturalize. This was a greedier play which would pay off better in most cases. If he didn't topdeck naturalize (which is way less commonly seen than wrath), his play would have saved him 7 health, while dealing 3 dmg to both the minion and the druid, and if he didn't topdeck an answer, Amaz could have delayed the death of the deathlord by 1 turn..
fair enough. Also I know that Amaz sometimes tells to not hit spmething you won't kill because it can lead to another shenanigans... but is different playstyles I guess. Each one has their own risks ofc :)
He is very strong in Priest decks because what it drags out on your opponents turn doesn't have a chance to attack, doesn't get any battlecry effects and you usually have an answer to everything when you play priest. It could drag out Varian Wrynn for example, it's a big card but it's battlecry is lost and you can shadow word death it, lightbomb it, entomb it, mind control it, holy fire holy smite... The answers are countless! Obviously pulling a non battlecry minion is worse but for a 3 mana 2/8, I think it's still worth it.
Watching this in September 2017. Man, does this game has changed. I've been playing since friends and family alpha. I've seen the game evolve but there are some things that just disappeared and now I am surprised I didn't notice them going away. Like Venture Co. How long has it been since I last saw a Venture Co ? In ranked (wild of not), Or even Arena. That was a staple of arena picks. Yet I haven't seen one in ... god only knows. I mean just look at the card. It was a good card. 5 mana 7/6 your minions cost 2 more. Balanced. Since then how many cards have had better stat line and lower mana cost without any significant drawbacks like Venture Co. ? Allow me to tell you : - 4 mana 7/7 . Overload 2? Who gives a shit. You play that, means you play a 3 drop on T5, with a strong board, and you're likely already putting your opponent way behind with it. - Ancient Shade ? 4 mana 7/4. Puts a card in your deck that deals 7 to your face when drawn. You play aggressively. If you have not won by turn 5/6 with an aggressive deck, you likely have lost. Who gives a shit about 7 damage you'll never get to draw ? - Eerie Statue. 4 mana 7/7. Ok. Not playable unless you're silence priest. And then anyway, the "Unless it's the only minion on the battlefield" condition is useless. Having to spend two cards for a single minion used to be a bad thing - back when you couldn't generate cards, when you were dealt your hand, and had to play with what you had put in the rest of your deck. No extra card generation (or let's be honest - little enough that it wasn't an issue - like Thoughtsteal, you basically use a deck with 29 cards, then waste 3 mana on an Arcane Intellect on the opponent's deck. Which may or may not be useful - and there was a time in HS during which "may or may not" was just not good enough. You needed certainty). Granted, the last two didn't see much play, because their respective deck were T2 at best, overshadowed with the broken crap of the moment. Feels like ages have gone by. And though I still like and play the game, I don't think it's going in the right direction overall.
Well, Kripp is not the only one. I never liked that card since day one, even after hearing Trump's and other players reviews in the times Naxx was coming out. And, like me, I'm sure many others disliked it. Sure it's good for one thing: Trolden & Co.
Deathlord is really good in Priest late game (if you have one or two double health cards). But ye, Deathlord is weak when facing of any Druid. Such fat cards.
Certainly not the worst card ever - but with an RNG based and potentially gamebreaking deathrattle, if you run it you have to be prepared for near-instant losses when it misfires badly.
Jaxson Bateman I have a ragnoros in my decks and i got him 95% of the time from deathlord.Deathlord is so bad that Blizzard should remove this stupid card from the game it makes people quit hearthstone DX

gotta love how much skill is involved in this game
Resisting the urge to pick a deathlord in arena sure is something only skilled people can aquire.
yeah, i see multiple misplays here
pdrohberg no, you're just such a noob that you don't understand why he made those plays.
Gergo049 yeah, because amaz is such an arena expert... his stats are nothing special, i have a better winrate, not even close.
pdrohberg oh really? where do you see his stats and how do you see your winrate? did you record it from the beginning? btw, can you tell me about those misplays?

Then again he is mostly very nice to me in constructed. :D

I like having Deathlord in Mill Rogue. They can't get any minions from it when they are running out of cards.

it makes a lot of sense to give that the coc

Death does not scare me. Venture Co. Mercenary does.
Is nobody going to point out that he said Malorne was a HUNTER card? I know it can be gotten from webspinner, but it's still a druid card.

I see what you did there UA-cam.
I know the feeling played with deathlord in a deck one time. Summoned a deathwing

See Amaz? Deathlord is such GARBO!
I was vsing some one with deathlord in arena then it brought out skeleton knight for me and he conceded

iron dwarf for 7 mana. yeah attack it and put deathlord at 2hp, get swiped/wrathed -> extra 7 dmg suffered to face.
again, he didn't have removal for the 4/3 :)

HAHAHAHA!!! Quick and painful crush! :-)))
In the end, he was kinda right
He doesn't seem to know what coc sounds like
Of course he knows. For this reason he still talk like that
I don't get the title someone explain pls
That concede was unnecessary, you still had a fairly good chance in that game.
I think it was because of the lack of poly or fireball so he had no direct answer...
LOL did we watch the same game?
He could only clear the 3-2 with flamestrike, this game was over as the ironbark protector got sumonned.
dont get the thing about kripp can someone explain it?

deathlord is good against zoo or low cost decks not anyone that have big creatures like handlock or something aka druid
Malorne is a good hunter card? And its a druid legendary. Thats what you get for the insult. Malorne does great in my druid deck.
Malorne is one of the beasts that you can get from the webspinner. The webspinner is a hunter card

its the best legendary in arena
