Actually actin can depolymerize and polymerize from both sides, its just that the critical concentration for the (+) side is lower, so it needs less ATP-G-actin to polymerize and does so at a faster rate.

you can clearly tell by the joining mechanisms that it is RNA related. and the way in which the bonds are made and the form that it takes on also resembles the structure of RNA

By the way this video is actually wrong. Actin depolymerizes from the left side (-). This video gives a false interpretation of the actin polymerizing and depolymerizing from the same side.

its diff in my prof lecture. at steady state, ATP-actin polymerize from + end and ADP-actin depolymerize from - end. It was refered to as threadmilling and a diagram can be seen in Lodish, Molecular Cell Biology 6e

You have to have some background knowledge when you watch this video, it's more of a revision. Very helpful though, Besides from the disassembly on the + end part

would be better as an animation with a voice over. still very helpful though.
i just like being spoon fed on youtube thats all

this has nothing to do with RNA interference
