Westbury alfa on long island has always done right by me but some of the services are absurdly expensive and thanks to you guys ive been able to DIY a lot
I've worked on so many cars from so many brands and these are by far the worst for what's supposed to be the easier maintenance. 🤣 Keep up the content, you guys are killing it for this year's Vlogmas.
The Alfa dealers are honestly crazy with their pricing. I asked the Daytona dealer what it would cost to adjust my headlamps because I'm tired of blinding people, and they quoted an hour of labor ($280 +tax). Blows my mind. As far as the offer you got for the Giulia btw, I thought not using the Wolf of Wallstreet meme in the last video was a missed opportunity. Glad to have seen it on this one 😂😂
Dealer network and pricing will always be my complaint, I understand making money but the entire platform is bleeding, needs some adjustments. lol 😂 I cracked up adding that clip
I just recently bought a 22 stelvio and had to get a second key from the dealer. Which the place i bought the car from paid for. It was $364 for the key fob, $215 to program. But the craziest price was $315 for the little key that is inside the key fob. While at dealer they showed me that my serpentine belt was cracked and wanted $285 to change it. I bought just the belt from the dealer for $34.45.. love your videos keep up the good work
Love the Pittsburgh sweat shirt! Darn, I was hoping for the Giulia cabin filter install. LOL I 100% agree with you on the dealer pricing. It's just plain ridicules! I need to do this, but I hate the thought of ripping plastic pieces out and then trying to re-install them. 🤣
Good video! I replaced filter on my Stelvio once so far and it was a major PITA, took me a bit over two hours, I did not want to force any plastics and/or break any clips. Would still do it again myself instead of paying the dealer. About to change my rotors and pads this weekend, you should do a video on that. PS: Independent Euro shop quoted $1,300 for rear and front including standard aftermarket rotors/pads. It would be about 2k if OEM. Pricing for Western New York.
You're doing great keeping the videos coming and still parenting👏🏽DIYs will always be a bit scary and/or intimidating, but it's truly a confidence booster when done and feels good to save hundreds, even thousands of dollars annually..ijs 👍🏽🍀
I know what you mean about riding for the brand. My first car was a Chrysler Fifth Avenue so I ride for every company under the Stellantis brand. It doesn't make me very popular in car circles but it is what it is. I blame Lee Iacocca.
I would add that when pulling the glovebox, though more an issue when reinstalling, those bolts are super soft compared to most torx bits, so its easy to chowder up the bolt heads by overtorquing Same goes for the torx bolts on the aero tray you pull when changing the oil Alfissimo has replacement bolts, so easy fix to my mistake
dealer prices are nuts, they advised me a $280 bill to do it. i ended up having a warranty issue where the hvac box had to be removed, and i was able to overlap the labor and just pay the $20 for the filter 😂 felt like i hacked the system LOL
I did save a ton of money doing the cabin filter myself and I don't regret it too much, but man the Giulia sucks for access. The dealers are quoting way too high for 90% of things, find a good independent mechanic lol.
I paid about $150 for them to change it out and another $130 for an oil change. I am near west Michigan tho. It does seem like a pain doing all that tho.
Thx for this filter-change-video; its horrible to pay that amount for changing it ! B t way; bravo for keeping the 2.0 T. I've also commentet that video to back your desition 😊
I change my oil every 6k instead of every 10k alfa says. So one time my oil light came on even though I had 3k to another oil change. I just wanted to reset the light. Called the dealer and they told me it would be $260 because the only way to reset it was to do another oil change…. I got multiecuscan and just reset it myself because that’s wack
W_t_f… got quoted close to 400 twice in NorCal. I’ve seen NorCal has basically the highest quoted repair costs in the nation from my living here the past 10 years… but I had no idea that it was easy; dealer stated it’s as much harder than the average late model car, while in fact it’s essentially identical 🤦♂️
I love the lazy... " we're not going to show you how to put it back. Just do it in reverse."😂😂😂 Alfa overcomplicates the locations of basic things like filters and fuses. Smh. Alfa charges Luke a Porsche dealer. The dealership experience is like buying a Kia. Not good.
Yess still glad you guys didn’t go a different route with the Alfa this channel is the only real Alfa channel that’s actually cares about the people on this side of the video 🫶🏼

The alfa dealership charged me $480 for an oil change. That was the last time and never came back 😂. Glad to see more content to help us save more 🙏
you change you own oil?
Bro. Valvoline charges 127..
Yes and it save me a lot 😂@@future-.
@@jbutler121890I know lol but now I do it myself which only cost me $80 for the oil and oil filter/gasket
@@PeruvianAlfa what oil you use?
Nick has great videos. Great work y'all
This is one of those evergreen videos. I hope many hits for the years to come
I appreciate you! That’s what I’m hoping for as well 🙌🏽

I have been actually wondering how to change the cabin filter on my Giulia, Thanks for the upload, will make it easier for me! You guys ROCK!!!
Finally I been looking for a good quality video for cabin filters. Thank you.
Thanks for the informative videos! Helpful to a new Alfa owner!
Appreciate you! Hope you found some value!
@ModdedMotors definitely valuable!
Completely forgot about this replacement, adding it to the list. Appreciate you both!

I can't believe people pay a dealership to change these. Good job guys.

Love the videos keep it up 🙏🏾
Thank you! Trying here 🙌🏽
Thanks for the tutorial guys! And new channel recommendation.
Keep up the great work
Thank you, trying my best 🙌🏽
Enjoying vlogmas keep it up!
I literally just bought the OEM filter and was about to search for the how to install and your video showed up in my fyu list 😅
Great diy! These cars are fairly easy to work on which is something I like about these 2.0’s
Good instruction! My alfa dealer did it free of charge when i brought the part when i came in for oil change got lucky
I basically only use my Alfa dealer for their tire deals twice a year. Buy 2 get 2 April and October. Besides that, DIY with confidence bc of you two.
Enjoying Vlogmas very much and I watched the FRS video!!
The video i never knew i needed until i needed it. Thank you so much
I really need to do this on mine. Thanks for the reminder.
Perfect timing i was looking for options 😅
Thank you so much I gotta replace mine once I take it out of winter storage
Super easy and quick! Drop the glove box and much easier to see

I definitely need to do this on mine. Just been putting it off. Lol
thanks for reminder us to do that😂🙏🏻
Been wanting to do this myself. I guess this is the sign lol
I need this; curious if I need to change mine. Get the shirt guys if you're a true fan!
Will you be making Alfa Romeo Giulia Grill Insert any time soon
We’re working on V2 and there’s a waitlist, if you email us we can add you to it.

Promise it’s not too bad!
Alfa Romeo dealer in Chicago has a coupon for cabin air 79.99..... what about 3 cross garage?
That’s great pricing, and so happy to hear that! CA & NY are notorious for having higher prices. Also not sure of their price but I can find out!
@@ModdedMotors content suggestion: brakes front/rear....
@@mford1974absolutely on the to do, not during vlogmas because we don’t have enough time but it’ll be coming soon!
@@ModdedMotors thanks... Looking forward to it... Now the brakes quote I have been given over $1100...now that's robbery
The dealer in Hurst quoted me $370.00 an hour labor to program an extra keyfob!! Absolute insanity!!
I was quoted on a brake job from a local dealer $8k. These dealers are crazy.
These dealers are absolutely brutallll
I do have a question how do you feel about R1 concept break pads and rotors set?@@ModdedMotors
Sooo close to 10k subs 😪. Can’t wait to see who wins the Squadra
