1 There are “one” to “six” versions of “Piffol”. The songs “Piffol five times” and “Piffol six times” were never officially published, though their recording is known. There is no trace at all of “Piffol two times” which, according to someone, became “T. V. T. V.” in its definitive vest.
The boundless admiration and the respect of the millions worldwide who were unable to correctly identify the track as Piffol Six Times is awarded jointly to Dogstand, who persevered as far as "Piffol (X times)" (two letters short of the actual title) but then gave up; Ady24 who then narrowed it down to Piffol 5 or 6 times; and Schlepworld, who upon reading that of the two possibilities it was not the former, was not slow in suggesting it was the latter and asking what the prize was.
Sadly not from any album - some of the Piffol tracks are on Archive Cardiacs but not this. It's one of the lost ones Gehenna found under a pile of leaves. Somewhere on the web someone's put together a collection of all known ones, I think...
Try Sea Nymphs. It's an amazing project made by Willy D Drake, Tim Smith and Sarah Smith. Unfortunately, there's only one album recorded, but it's great. Nineteen tracks of pure... Dreaminess and... Epicness in some way. It's beautiful.
In somewhat of a miracle, theres a new one out. Apparently mostly recorded before Tim fell ill, but he's recovered enough to oversee it being finished (Although no extra singing or guitar as he's still mute and partially paralized apparently)
I believe the Piffol x times where from some side project Tim was involved in early in cardiacs history, but I believe not relieved (I guess because it was very much prog, whereas cardiacs where still trying to court a punk audience, but thats only a guess). A number of the recordings made it onto Archive, but not all (Possibly because they where lost?)

This is fantastic! It's the soundtrack to my day dream!!
I kept waiting for Jim's head to appear, but my soup is rather tasty.

This sounds a LOT like "Happy the Man." Pretty much sounds like it could have come off of either of their first 2 albums.
All of these are much better titles than the real one!
Thanks for this little labor of love, it's nice work indeed...I was going to guess "Duck, It's Roger the Horse" but looks like Piffol . 5. Times. ?
is it called jims fridge repair adventure

@@shayneoneill1506 Hopefully the same thing happens with _LSD,_ even if Tim is no longer with us
Try Tims Smith's extra special ocean land world
OK; this is my last go..
A Horse for a Horse on the Horse?
Keep going and you'll get there...
is it called gehennathehorse
thank you for the reply~
Is it called Spoony Fish?
Is it called Bits and Bobs?
Ha, I thought it was King Crimson or something. Is this an actual unreleased Cardiacs track then? Where's it from?
Yes
Wahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Piffol (X times). X being an undetermined number.
Does anyone know where the train line is?
An Excellent question, which no-one has asked before. The answer is it's the line from London to Salisbury!
Who played lead guitar on the piffol tracks?
Can we keep guessing, even though we know the answer?
yep
An amazing track! This video maches the sound. Thanks for uploading.
Who plays keyboard? Max Mayers?
Tim Smith: guitars & keyboards; Tim Quy: (fretless) bass; Dominic Luckman: drums. Dominic wrote this, Tim S arranged it.
Piffol (infinite times)
Keep the suggestions coming. I'd rather someone got it than me having to just tell everyone!
Which one?
Details will be revealed. But not yet. Unless someone correctly identifies it in the meantime, of course!
Piffol Two times?
That was meant to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH, but I panicked. What's the name of the track?
Piffol?
Is 'Piffol' in the title?
Is that your final answer?
My god they've dropped the horse.
FROM WHAT ALBUM?? what other cardiacs is similar to this??? it's too dreamy

Gives me the same vibes as "All His Geese Are Swans" from the Cardiacs album "Songs for Ships and Irons" as well as "Pony" by Spratleys Japs.
@@samiamiamsamsamiam This is clearly heavily influenced by the band "Happy the Man."
No... you nearly had it earlier. I could just tell you but you're so close.
PIFFOL 6 TIMES then, what do I win?
No. You're just guessing now, aren't you?!
Ah! Now, could you be more specific?
Hang on, can I phone a friend?
I know, I know: E=MC Hammer
No...
Ohhh, very good! But not correct.
Ye-... No.
No.
Nope.
No.
