A few weeks ago a friend was teaching me Reiki. He explained that Reiki practice is downward flow of energies to help with the healing process. This is done by cupping hands and holding them on different areas starting with eyes, ears down to feet. Interesting, I bought a PEMF device to help me with my long Covid symptoms. This a mat with coils to generate pulsing of very low EM frequencies that are closer to Earth magnetic field pulses. This is not the same as WIFI and other high EM. It seems that pulsing of very low EM from head to feet interact with various lymphatic organs via their ion channels to drain their toxic payloads. It seems by using Reiki and other techniques one can generate, accumulate and direct specific energy to heal ourselves and perhaps others.
I agree. I was using Reiki as an example that with right teaching technique and guidance one can learn to access and utilize subtle energies and their fields to help ourselves and others. However, it's much easier to say than to achieve!

I think I should add this for anyone encountering the Don Juan books for the first time. For those of you who think it's all true, feel free to skip this comment " It is said that Castaneda’s only real sorcery was turning the University of California into an ass. No one but Castaneda ever saw Don Juan. Castaneda had NO CORROBATING PHOTOS, TAPE RECORDINGS, OR EVEN ANY FIELD NOTES. (My note----I believe this is highly unusual in a doctorate of this kind) In his nine years of alleged desert research with a Yaqui Indian, he learned nothing about the region’s plants and animals and didn’t learn one Indian name for any of them. He claimed to climb trees that can’t be climbed and to stalk animals that can’t be stalked. He casually referred to hiking for hours in 100 degree heat. He said he enjoyed being drenched by warm winter rains in a desert where winter rains are icy cold. He could provide no samples of the hallucinogenic mushrooms that he supposedly used, and indeed there are none in that region. Worst of all, he obviously knew nothing about Yacqui Indian beliefs and culture. Castaneda was in U.K. and did a talk at York University. I spoke to one of the lecturers who met him. Academic education can structure the tonal…CAN, not will. Modern education is weakening the tonal as it only creates followers nowadays. School. An be good for learning discipline but there are better ways such as martial arts in a good school.

I read all the books a few times over, most of the books point to the need to store energy, or more, do not expend energy you have, one book goes a bit more in detail... but can't rember which , perhaps fire from within. Don Juan stressed a few things such as , letting go of self importance, recapitulate your life to free up energy, minimizing your personal identity, stopping the internal dialogue (probably most important).
... Do, ALL that you do, do it fully thought-fully mind fully, "deliberately" presently. This single most "conscious" action, alone, WILL transport you into the moment and completely transForm YOUR WHOLE LIFES EXISTENCE ...
I use NiCad and lithium batteries as suppository attention storage devices. Then I use kegel exercises to liberate the energy therein or swap them out. But usually I don't use my super powers, just to make my adventures more interesting.
Not so keen on that quote. Instincts are from/based on feelings - it's our primal force (gut Instincts) that when harnessed are our ultimate source of power. I personally go with my gut, it's a second brain. Instincts aren't necessarily the same as impulses, they just perhaps "appear" to be superficially.

What i dont get is everytime i try to build energy and eat healther , do harder things, meditate more etc i always fall at some point and get dobuts about it all , shouldnt the energy just increase more and more like a snowball ?
@@ThreeSuns-Magic I do wonder why i need "patience" if it is a snowball , if i mange for 2 weeks to do more and more challenging stuff and have a better and better lifestyle , than should'nt it snowball forever , why i get doubts and feel lazy and unmotivated if its snowball , why suddenly some tasks start to feel hard to do again like the start .... i mean i should have more force at that 2 week spot (where i eat healthy , mediate a lot , do stuff that are harder , dont eat junk food , dont play computer games etc) that is the part i dont get , what is the **reason** for the need for **"patience"** ?

@@ThreeSuns-Magic What i meant was not what is the reason to practice but : if there is snowball effect why do i need patience , if the snowball rolls by iteslf , if things should be more easy to do and i have more and more energy than why is there a need f or patience , why i fail all the time if the only issue should be to start making and rolling that snowball down the hill , why suddenly that snow ball gets destory mid falling down hill , what is the reason that snowball stops all of a sudden before reaching bottom , its been 2 weeks rolling , and it didnt happen once but multiplie times the snowball stopped despite according to laws of phsyics (and laws of castaneda about getting more power) it should have kept rolling
With such a prolific writing and following, he should indeed formed a cult, like Scientology. His writings are similar to Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing, and Ra Uru Hu's Human Design System.
Since Carlos invented the whole Don Juan character and then tried to foister it off as all true, I would advise people to tread lightly with anything Castaneda had to say about anything. (I'm not saying there is nothing of value in the Don Juan books. There are a few things and if anyone wants I will post one of them) Read how Castaneda treated some of his women followers after he became famous--it might surprise you. That said, I think Castaneda is one of the greatest writers in the second half of the 20th century---of fiction. IMHO meditation is the key to everything if you want to improve your life in every way.
I’d say, it’s a waste of energy to engage the ego when embracing spiritual realities. Who cares if Don Juan was real or not? The wisdom stands on its own. And regarding issues of his personality interacting with women. None of my business. There’s ALWAYS 2 sides to a story, and anyone indulging in gossip is missing the finer details of life. What I get/got from his teachings isn’t from a blind belief in his words. As a person involved in an esoteric spiritual life for over 3 decades, I’ve walked very far in my path. I’ve learned much- most of which I find myself hard pressed to put into words. But as I look back at my life I find Carlos’ words reflect my own path quote well. He taught many tools you just don’t hear very often. Hunting. Stalking. Dreaming. Doings and not doings. Recapitulations. The value of internal silence, etc… These aren’t something to believe in or not. They are actions, behaviors that one wields to master his own self. Im really not trying to defend Carlos’ teachings. They stand firmly on their own. But I do question why someone is trying to lead others astray from such powerful words. Makes me think you are one of those orthodox religious people that believe you have it all figured out without ever taking one step on a path. That’s how you come off to me anyways. To each their own- not trying to be disrespectful, just communicating an observation.
Truth is often disseminated through stories. Many schools of thought used this teaching device. This does not however, detract from the inherent wisdom contained within, but makes it accessible to all. Happy new year! 😊

Castaneda was in U.K. and did a talk at York University. I spoke to one of the lecturers who met him. He told me that Castaneda had indeed said that Don Juan was made up..............I read all his books years ago but I still go to them for knowledge.........I hadn't remembered the above writings but thinking of it, it is strange that a 'shaman' would say that intellectual study is the basis for moving energy........I would agree without knowing why as research is a passion of mine.............why are you so concerned that Castaneda didn't follow the anthropological rules?.......How can you state hidden things as fact?......Many people are beginning to wake up to the fact that 'energies' or vibrations hold different worlds.........and entities are everywhere.......how are you going to prove that?.......You must learn to 'see'..........another thought......Harry Potter was written by the Tavistock Institute to introduce magic to children.........(not good).......When Castaneda began his journey and was told to live from his heart he didnt know how.to.......didn't understand........is that true of all of us?..and were the books a collaboration to spread knowledge?.....I have read so much but Castaneda's books are, for me, true of life........30 years ago I was catapulted to the mountains of Portugal.without financial support......tricky neighbours who nearly killed me........and it was Castaneda who I turned to......

I read all the books a few times over, most of the books point to the need to store energy, or more, do not expend energy you have, one book goes a bit more in detail... but can't rember which , perhaps fire from within. Don Juan stressed a few things such as , letting go of self importance, recapitulate your life to free up energy, minimizing your personal identity, stopping the internal dialogue (probably most important).

Since Carlos invented the whole Don Juan character and then tried to foister it off as all true, I would advise people to tread lightly with anything Castaneda had to say about anything. (I'm not saying there is nothing of value in the Don Juan books. There are a few things and if anyone wants I will post one of them) Read how Castaneda treated some of his women followers after he became famous--it might surprise you.
That said, I think Castaneda is one of the greatest writers in the second half of the 20th century---of fiction.
IMHO meditation is the key to everything if you want to improve your life in every way.
I’d say, it’s a waste of energy to engage the ego when embracing spiritual realities. Who cares if Don Juan was real or not? The wisdom stands on its own. And regarding issues of his personality interacting with women. None of my business. There’s ALWAYS 2 sides to a story, and anyone indulging in gossip is missing the finer details of life.
What I get/got from his teachings isn’t from a blind belief in his words. As a person involved in an esoteric spiritual life for over 3 decades, I’ve walked very far in my path. I’ve learned much- most of which I find myself hard pressed to put into words. But as I look back at my life I find Carlos’ words reflect my own path quote well. He taught many tools you just don’t hear very often. Hunting. Stalking. Dreaming. Doings and not doings. Recapitulations. The value of internal silence, etc… These aren’t something to believe in or not. They are actions, behaviors that one wields to master his own self.
Im really not trying to defend Carlos’ teachings. They stand firmly on their own. But I do question why someone is trying to lead others astray from such powerful words. Makes me think you are one of those orthodox religious people that believe you have it all figured out without ever taking one step on a path. That’s how you come off to me anyways. To each their own- not trying to be disrespectful, just communicating an observation.

Truth is often disseminated through stories. Many schools of thought used this teaching device. This does not however, detract from the inherent wisdom contained within, but makes it accessible to all.
