Thanks to Carolina's Beauty and Don for this beautiful Blackhawk song.
Another outstanding request from CarolinasBeauty, thank you so much. Thanks Don for the terrific reaction.
Thanks Carolinasbeauty for this Blackhawk song. Haven't heard this group in a long time. To me, this is a song about encounters with heartbreak and regret that many people can identify with. The song was written by Phil Vasser and Don Sampson. The song was released in '97 and peaked at #37 on the charts. Thanks Don for your reaction
This is one of my favorite Blackhawk songs. Thanks for the reaction, Don!
@SteveSwags Hi Steve! I hope Ego gets to come up and listen when you sing this one?
I really enjoy Phil Vassar's stripped down version of this song he recorded a few years ago. This was one of the first songs of Phil's that got cut when he moved to town.
My favorite songs by BlackHawk are I’m Not Strong Enough to Say No, I Sure Can Smell the Rain, Goodbye Says It All, Every Once in a While, and Postmarked Birmingham. RIP Van Stephenson!!
The video answers the questions.
The video tells more to the story of why she left.
Great reaction Don but the video fills in the blanks the song leaves out
Please dont hate me? Its just somethiing I had to do!---- thats a true story for somebody.
The video is amazing!!
She went and found her daughter she had given up for adoption.
Thank you Don for this wonderful reaction! There is a twist in this song that you wouldn't know if you didn't see the video (as mentioned below.) She "left him" to go see the daughter she had put up for adoption. When she finds the child happy and healthy, she comes back home - and he was waiting for her with open arms. Don't know if she ended up telling him why she left - that's up to the individual to fill in. Blackhawk had some great albums back in the '90s and I own them. They were just a little bit different (enough) to stand out from other groups. Loved their harmony!
Thank you Phyliss for this wonderful request. Great harmony and great lyrics. Thank you for clarifying the story. Be well my friend.
@@montauked17 Hi Ed! You are so very welcome! I agree totally with your words and I hope you are doing very well, also. Much love from a friend - always!
@@carolinasbeauty Hi Phyliss, When I see that you have posted, I smile. When I finish reading your posts, my smile gets bigger.
She left to see her eher daughter that she had put up for adoption when she was younger
