Spot on mate. The Govt has allocated different rort rates for NDIS. The dollar doesn't carry as far and therefore people always quote up to max allowed instead of their rate.
NDIS is estimated at $36.7 billion in 2022-23 and is expected to be $41.9 billion in 2023-24, a growth rate of 14.4%. That's a lot of tax-payer money when the cost of living is so high.
I get what you mean but we have lots of people in our country living with disability and as a whole it needs to be managed better and probably funded more than it is currently considering everyone i know in the industry is overworked, underpayed or the participants are getting the short straw with funding
An NDIS provider will easily make $450 into their pocket for 1x 8 hour shift, after paying a support worker to go and do the shift with the participant. Just think, an NDIS provider at a reasonable size company may run 4 shifts per day. That is a LOT more money than the average person makes. The money comes from the participant’s NDIS budget, out of tax payers money. If the Australian public knew how much of a (legal) rort this is, they’d be furious.
Or support workers jack up their hourly rate😮. I had a ‘freelance support worker’ quote me $90ph, when those working with a middle man so to speak, have an average hourly rate of $45/$50ph. It seems if you mention you have NDIS funding, it automatically makes anyone that offers services, hike up their fees at double the rate👀

No one’s denying that the NDIS has been life changing for families in need, and that’s exactly what it should be. But unfortunately, there’s a darker side to it. There’s been a rise in fraud, where shady operators set up fake agencies to milk the system. They claim to offer services, but it’s all just paperwork, no real support being given. There are even cases where criminal groups get involved, using shell companies to exploit loopholes, and it's costing the government billions. That’s why people are questioning the NDIS. It’s frustrating because while families like yours are benefiting, these scammers are undermining the entire system. If the government doesn’t crack down on this, the funding could eventually run dry, or the rules will get so strict that people who actually need help will have a harder time accessing it. Some of these so called "care providers" are literally fronts for organised crime. They submit fake invoices, claim to deliver support they never provide, and funnel the money straight into their own pockets. And the fact this is growing so fast is unbelievable. It just shows the level of fraud happening as more and more people jump on and rort the system. No one needs to be paid $67/hour to fold clothes and watch people sleep. Just remember, these same people doing it would've exploited Centrelink back in the day. AKA disability pensions and needing a pension when their families have been very well off. Same strategy in this case, but different name.
Love this! ❤The media focuses so much on the negative side of NDIS due to the handful of rotten eggs that are literal scammers who take advantage of the vulnerable members of our society, but seldom do stories of those individuals, & families who have been helped tremendously by NDIS. Without NDIS, my husband would not have been able to find his own work, or have ‘time out’ to ‘JUST BE’ my husband, as he became a primary carer for me, (started to lose my vision & lost the use of my hands a few years back which was absolutely terrifying for an otherwise fiercely independent person😮😱) & I for one didn’t & don’t want that kind of life for him - he didn’t ask for it - & you & your wife wouldn’t have either, but you all do it out of love for your person/child - so it’s a life saver that we have services like NDIS, that help make a tough situation, a little bit more manageable 😄
I met a lady who told me she is an "entrepreneur." LOL! She had the flash house, car, clothes, and jewellery... Never bothered to ask her what she actually does... Fast forward, I found out she is an NDIS "specialist."😂😂😂 Yeah...
I knew lady that was nothing but a drug addict somehow she opened her own compony up using ndis and got millionaire rich from nothing with in a year. she is never sober but living a million air life style thanks to ndis
All comes down to the individual. What I have learnt from working in social support is most people are really fake. Very educated smart just fake and not nice people. I have honestly meet criminals in the prison system that have more heart.
That’s why the new way forward (at least jn mental health) is looking at training people who have lived experience so they understand what it means to have been where their “clients”’ are we it’s the same in the mental health sector.
I work in the system. I see providers creating fake invoices to charge clients NDIS fund literally every day. My job is to report them. Absolutely nothing happens to any of them.
I love your vids, but this one hit different, as 2 of my sisters & I are NDIS participants, & the impact/changes this service has made to & on, our lives has been tremendous to say the least. There will always be that handful of sketchy rotten tomatoes who’ll always take advantage of something great & ruin it for others, so my personal opinion is, that NDIS is not a scam, and has changed my life tremendously, as well as many others - however, there are definitely people/providers that are committing fraudulent activities in the NDIS scheme, who burn out participants funding & pocketing it for themselves Thanks for this insightful investigation Jamie.😊
From this video I learnt that this is a “money grab” guised as “helping the disabled”. These providers essentially the real estate agents of the health care industry.
I think it is a necessity for our country and we should support those in need, no question. However, there needs to be better checks a balances. I spoke to a lady recently who's husband is getting $217 per fortnight to assist her have a shower, she was laughing about it. It's disgusting. We should not be paying for that. There are parents out their getting a diagnosis for their kid and getting drugs to claim the NDIS. It's everywhere. WAKE UP ALBO AND SHORTEN.
I'm thankful that this system is in place as my mother is on the NDIS and needs support workers to come in and help her with meal prep, cleaning and gardening. Although I have worked for an NDIS provider, working with NDIS participants doing gardening. The parents pay for the company for them to come to work, they get paid from centrelink approx $500 a week. So this company is making a pretty good dime. Yes some of them are moving onto other work but others simply cannot. These companies are making a lot of money off of the less fortunate.. Its not a bad scheme, just needs regulation.
I use to install disability modifications, my problem is ocupational therapist charging $200 hour to tell people where they need handrails. People should be ashamed of them selfs
I have an Autistic 6yo son. Without funding, he wouldn't have the quality of life he's experiencing now. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, these things are the building blocks to help him navigate a world that's tough. NDIS is important, but we need to ensure the wolves in sheeps clothing aren't left to destroy such an important life line for people with disability.
Good job talking about one of the most covered and discussed topics in the entire Australian news cycle for the last 4 years straight! Really needed more commentary on this, especially from youtubers with zero experience in the industry looking for clicks! /s
Looks like a Hublot very nice also very expensive. Could be a con or handwork either way the man is still doing a good thing for the people and who cares when they get paid alot or getting kick backs when the government is spending 250 - 350 Billion yes with a B for 3 nuclear powered submarines lmao 🤣
I appreciate the question, i wish it was the real deal. I run the global operation in 8 different countries. I changed my career to supporting because of a personal experience.
I hear and understand that unfortunately there will be too many people scamming the system which I hate, but I see the other side of it first hand. Both my husband and I now work for a 'not for profit' organisation and we love our jobs, we work with awesome participants that lead a great quality life. Some of them require 24/7 supports. So the jobs the NDIS has created can and does really improve families lives through job opportunities too. I hope people stop scamming the system because this is people's lives and health they could be affecting both workers and those who rely on NDIS for their care.
NDIS is not a scam, it saved my daughter and without it my daughter would suffer more. We are forever grateful to TLC and Yasser the global CEO of TLC and Laura the Australian CEO because when we first met them my daughter had no funding and they still supported her with the challenges. They are good people helped us when my daughter was desperate for help.
I get paid to take my clients bowling and to the movies, it's boring and unfulfilling, with 0 job satisfaction, basically baby sitting. I hate my job but it's good money and I'm in the process of leaving, not sure where the rest of the funding goes but 🤷🏾♂️
Govt needs to be very strict on who actually gets NDIS, and very strictly monitor what users spend the money on. Hear so many stories of people getting it who dont have any disability, and are spending it on random things like luxuries and holidays. So unfair for tax payers
By law, they cannot spend NDIS money on holidays, cars. NDIS money need to be plan managed for the bulk of it, and self managed for only a small part..
Thanks Jamie, wish I could go back in time when I bumped into you in Blacktown Showgrounds cafe and take a picture with you when I was still standing. Now my condition has deteriorated I can no longer stand, a picture with you will be so different, if I could even have the courage to ask you for one.
Getting my sons plan reviewed now and was told that when a 'delegate' finaly approved the review they need a really good understanding because they don't fully understand disability. I should have recorded the conversation. Government corruption through and through and these 'providers' are friends of friends. It's just an excuse to funnel government money.
I have a medical condition (the same as my son who gets NDIS funding for the condition) but the NDIS won’t help me or give me any assistance without having to pay hundreds or thousands out of my own pocket for a specialist report that I can’t afford in order to get assistance so I can’t get assistance with a genuine medical condition and my limited functioning capacity confirmed by my general practitioners report?
Tis very corrupted from what I’ve heard because scumbags are everywhere but I hope it reaches legitimate folks. All the scammers out there go to hell 🔥🔥🔥
Autism is congenital (born) and is lifelong neurological condition. The science surrounding ADHD is that is cam be treated. Either by drugs or behavioural theràpy. As such, it is treated as a medical condition, not a disability. However, ADHD is often a secondary condition, with autism being the primary. If ADHD is not associated with autism in a person, it is considered a treatable medical condition.
I personally know a guy who has a weekly allowance for prostitutes because he is disabled and it's hard for him to find woman, they still owe me money for legitimate work I did after being engaged by the provider to do said work, when I submitted the invoice I was told the funding had run out, they owe a friend of mine thousands of $$ for work completed and they simply do not pay it as 'funding has run out', but it seems the providers are still getting paid.
I work my ass off yet NDIS worker will take a client to Woolies and have lunch and get more than what I get working 8 hour day when they only doing 4.and also getting 1 doller per km as well It's a effing joke
I was born with my disabilities gp letter wasn’t good enough been on NDIS 4 years declined every thing I have asked for my needs I payed out my credit card and now I can’t get refund because I didn’t have support I needed now not 2 years down the track grrr
I dont think people realize how fcking difficult it is to get on ndis... 🤦🏻♀️ If they knew, maybe they would stop saying everyone is scamming it... I have been on a permanent disability pension my intire life, and they still wont give me ndis. I cant pay rent so i live with family, i cant work due to constant seizures that cannot be cured with medication amoung other health problems like stroke and TBI at age just 31. I cant afford much at all anymore. My income is not enough for rent, food, medication, medical bills, dr appointments, specialist appointments etc. and i dont even bother with the public health system anymore because its just a bunch of never ending waiting lists and poor care. Just to get on dsp now is near impossible...🤦🏻♀️ So people must be dumb and never attempted to apply for these things. The amount of things you need just to be even considered, is crazy. Your conditions must be proven multiple in multiple different ways. Alot of evidence is required. And even then, the chances of being accepted are nil. People make me mad saying everyone rips off the system... As for the lady saying her family member gets her nails and hair done...god forbid a disabled person do something nice for themselves for once 🤦🏻♀️ but if you are disabled you have to stay at home and be restricted to any self love or ever treat yourself 🤦🏻♀️ i hate this mentality
There was a bloke providing NDIS support to a client not affiliated with a company and charged for 20 hours which he didn't work and was only noticed because the client viewed the receipt. So about $1200 just cause one bloke was a scamy dog.
im not sure me neighbour he get free lawn cut house cleaned he dont work tic great help the people dont think its a scam just a lot abuse it people helping other people its good to see
I am working in an NDIS facility. It really is a waste of tax payers money. In reality Most participants are drug addicts spending our tax money for drugs and other meaningless things. Many of them are very entitled. Meanwhile Government keeps on cutting funds for Aged Care.
Yeah, America needs a ndis aswell. Its good, it just sucks that a few people take advantage of it. Id say itll probly take another 5-10 years before its all good, get rid of the unregistered providers, and make it a needs base scheme, where disabled peoples needs are all met and some sort of accountability with providers.
What an absolute load of garbage. Why didn't you ask them providers how much they are charging. My old man is on the scheme, every single provider is scamming people.

If it's provided by the government which it's not even their money it's taxpayer money then we have every right to scrutinise under corrupt Labor
@@slavbrav69 your liberals would never help disabled children’s families
Is the CEO of TLC wearing a Richard Mille? I would’ve left that at home and wore a Casio for the short interview. Cheers for the transparency
60K watch, WTF??
I met a lady who told me she is an "entrepreneur." LOL! She had the flash house, car, clothes, and jewellery... Never bothered to ask her what she actually does... Fast forward, I found out she is an NDIS "specialist."😂😂😂 Yeah...
I knew lady that was nothing but a drug addict somehow she opened her own compony up using ndis and got millionaire rich from nothing with in a year. she is never sober but living a million air life style thanks to ndis
i believe you
This video is a giant advert for the NDIS company featured
yep, i wonder how much Jamie got paid from them
All comes down to the individual.
There will always be that handful of sketchy rotten tomatoes who’ll always take advantage of something great & ruin it for others, so my personal opinion is, that NDIS is not a scam, and has changed my life tremendously, as well as many others - however, there are definitely people/providers that are committing fraudulent activities in the NDIS scheme, who burn out participants funding & pocketing it for themselves Thanks for this insightful investigation Jamie.😊
did you ask NDIS Ninja if providers jack up their fees to cover his consultancy services? 👀
while his wearing a balenciaga shirt.. lol
Anyone know what watch Mr Yasser Zabi is wearing at 4:00??
RM - House on a wrist
He’s playing the system well…
Looks like a Hublot very nice also very expensive. Could be a con or handwork either way the man is still doing a good thing for the people and who cares when they get paid alot or getting kick backs when the government is spending 250 - 350 Billion yes with a B for 3 nuclear powered submarines lmao 🤣
Casio G shock
Funds are also going to people who don’t deserve it and the ones who do can’t
I've got nothing against it but 30 billion a year is a bit much and not sustainable. If people are scamming it needs to be stopped immediately
Queensland lady ripped of NDIS for over half million, come to Tasmania ... Brought renovated n sold a unit..... Feds still trying to find her....
How much is Yasser charging is the questions that should be asked
My NDIS provider tried to charge me $70 for travel fee that’s 900 m from her clinic
Should of taken off that watch before doing that interview lol
Tis very corrupted from what I’ve heard because scumbags are everywhere but I hope it reaches legitimate folks. All the scammers out there go to hell 🔥🔥🔥
18000 Australians die every year by medical mistakes 50000 permanently injured they are forgotten FIX THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM
Still can’t understand how autism is covered but adhd isn’t. Yet adhd is equally as disabling and lifelong
Theres alot of people making money and screwing the tax payers.
Great video mate
Absolute money grab anytime they hear NDIS …
NDIS Ninja - The definition of an NDIS scam
There was a bloke providing NDIS support to a client not affiliated with a company and charged for 20 hours which he didn't work and was only noticed because the client viewed the receipt. So about $1200 just cause one bloke was a scamy dog.
Jamie! Come to Perth's Richest Area!
The NDIS is costing taxpayers more than both aged care, Medicare, and the PBS which is too much!
He suffers from dwarfism… wtf you’re a short man, nothing wrong with that.
Great video. The providers u met all seem registered. Would of been awesome if u caught up with the unregistered providers
im not sure me neighbour he get free lawn cut house cleaned he dont work tic great help the people dont think its a scam just a lot abuse it people helping other people its good to see
And my mum is helping me get with this company 😭😭 what the heak is goin on
And what they didn't help me with application and shouted at me gave me anxiety
So training disabled people to be professional racers? Very helpful 👌
Yess tho if you have trouble with your speech it helpful but anything else I don’t think you really need .
I love how this video was so positive! Focus more on the positive rather than the negative 🤩
The biggest grift in Australia at the moment, even moreso than the 'childcare centers' in Western Sydney and the educational sector.
I also have some top news regarding NDIS
How can i connect with you ?
I watched you at the joga Bonita tour and I met you
Motorsport is an NDIS service?
No wonder it’s budgeted for $44 billion for only 650,000 participants.
I am working in an NDIS facility. It really is a waste of tax payers money. In reality Most participants are drug addicts spending our tax money for drugs and other meaningless things. Many of them are very entitled. Meanwhile Government keeps on cutting funds for Aged Care.
NDIS what does that mean, What’s it for.
I don’t know how the average human is living in 2024
You didn’t expose something that everyone is talking about 😂 but I guess it’s called click bait
Certainly a nice watch
TLC 😂😂😂😂 pleaseeeeee
About time someone spotlight this.
