Although they will be mostly associated with the Disco era and the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, the Bee Gees showed that they can associate themselves with multiple music genres. It's pretty sad that Barry is the last surviving brothers. I can just imagine how hard it must be for him. All three of his brothers are gone and so are his parents, and he also lost close friends including Michael Jackson. Thankfully he has a family which I'm sure is his main support system so he can't say he feels alone in the world.

Maurice did not die from a "heart attack"! The Dr misdiagnosed him. Something in his stomach flipped and tied itself in a knot. And because of something stupid that could have been taken care of, we lost the first of the core Gibb Brothers. And because he was a twin .. and because they have a relationship that has NOTHING to do with family .. I think most of the world kept an eye on Robin. If we fans were worried, I can't imagine what the family was going through. 😢🙏❤️

I came to this video looking for inaccuracies, including the pronunciation of Maurice's name. Also, Maurice was the first Bee Gee to sing falsetto in "Nights on Broadway" on Main Course. I love all the Bee Gees albums, especially the less popular ones.

Barry was the first to sing the falsetto part in Nights on Broadway. It is his voice on the studio version. Mo sang the falsetto part on Midnight Special because it was live and Barry was singing lead and it was impossible for him to sing falsetto at the same time. In the studio, Barry sang lead on one track, then went back and sang the falsetto part on another track. and they put it together for the finished sound on the album.

Janet, It's so nice to meet a fellow BEEGEES fan.So I am confident you will want to know that they were actually born on the Isle of Man, except for Andy who was later born in Manchester, England. Not many people, even fans know about the sister they have. Her name is Lesley. She chose not to be in show biz. Those are her way of describing it, even though she was on stage playing and/or singing with her brothers. They honored her request to stay anonymous. Btw, to the best of my knowledge she still lives in Australia.She did breed dogs for years,I don't know if she still breeds them currently. As far as her brothers' deaths(so sad) , she did receive a call from Barry, who sadly and gently said to his sister "it's just you and me now love". ( he was referring to their loss of Robin). I thought you would be interested to know these things about a group we "grew up with" and in many ways felt that they were family to many of us. The lads readily admitted to doing drugs in their younger days when "everyone was doing it". Maurice said on a TV show that they were nicknamed "Pot, Pills and P--s" (p--s being British slang for alcohol). Barry and Robin gave up the pot and pills, but it was quite a while before Maurice gave up the booze. He was a proud, outspoken member of AA till his death.
