Your method is very nice and maybe the best. What I found was that once I converted the first time, it retained all the settings for video, audio and so I didn't have to repeat the steps.

Just one tip ... it is imposssible to reduce anything more than 100% (lol). In your example the file size reduced 80% (cannot be 500%).

I must correct myself, the size has compressed just as another tool would have like HandBreake🙏. So what you mentioned and suggest is a true way great approach, if local system already has VLC, which I believe is more probable. 👍👌👏🤗

Have another solution for my case ? I use VLC for compress a 2,65 gigabytes and after the compress process i get 1,74 gygabytes. I use again vlc ? For me stiil big.

Try using a different compression program, VLC might not be the best option for that file size.
