    I’ve seen a lot of videos on UA-cam, but this is one of my favorites. I just cleaned my whole air conditioner lol. Thanks a bunch!

    If all we wanted to do was deep clean and everything is in working order. Say wipe down the foam due to dirt in the inside, can we stop at the 7 min mark where we remove the blower?

      I need a way to deep clean this thing so badly. The one in my apartment is terrifying and my landlord will never clean it. But if they catch me doing it, they'll say I didn't have permission to do maintenance.

    I had to take my air conditioner totally apart because of mold issues - there is no drain for the pan so the water just accumulates and mold grows in it. Your video was so helpful!!!!!! May I please send you a gift card?

    I really wish it was shown how to disconnect the control panel from the grille so I could get it into the tub for a good cleaning; otherwise, this video was wonderfully helpful with getting the horizontal louver and grille off. I got the two screws out, but I'm starting to think that you can't slide or pull the control panel board out.

    I have a buzzing until I unplug my AC. This happened to my first unit. My second unit did it last year, but cleared itself. This year it’s not clearing. I’m looking at an 18,000 or 25,000 btu unit. They are showing different dimensions. Is that possible?

    I have a similar model, Frigidaire FFTA123WA1 24"
    Im having a very strange issue and i cant figure out what is the cause...
    After some time of operation, some strange noise appears... the noise is kinda odd to explain... its like a rattling sound... but not all the time... it can get louder or disappear out of the blue... the odd thing is that it only happens when the compressor is on... when i have FAN ONLY mode on it never appears... i was also listening closely and it seems to be coming from somewhere between the front coils and the blower fan.... but there is nothing there...
    Can someone help??? The sound is driving me nuts...

      The rattle is caused by electromagnetic fields cause by the compressor motor. All you can do is make sure all of the screws are tighten down so the emf can't vibrate parts.

      I know this is an old comment but I’m having the same issue and I’m close to replacing the unit. Did the above solution work? How easy is it to do or do I need to get it serviced? It almost sounds like scratching styrofoam. 🤷🏾‍♀️
      Thanks!

    can this air conditioning unit be recharged with more freon?

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  Рік тому

      You shouldn't need to refill freon unless there is a leak. If there is a leak we recommend going through a technician to repair. AC units are designed to hold freon for their entire lifespan. Freon is highly toxic, colorless and odorless, and can be fatal. If you think there is a leak, we recommend turning off the unit and have a professional repair it. Do not keep the unit indoors because freon can accumulate in your house.

    Never ever buy a Frigidaire 25,000 BTU A/C. I just replaced mine with an 18,000 BTU GE, and have been so pleased with the difference. The Frigidaire was junk from the moment I installed it and never cooled the house in the heat of the day. The GE keeps me cool even in 100 degree heat with high humidity. The Frigidaire only lasted 7 years. What a ripoff.

    Man they really make these as hard as possible to get into. I just need to clean it because of mold. Haven’t even had it for a year.
