“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall;
don’t be happy when they stumble.
For the Lord will be displeased with you
and will turn his anger away from them.
Don’t fret because of evildoers;
don’t envy the wicked.”
Proverbs 24: 16-19 NLT - Навчання та стиль
Great tips! But all I can think about is how I need the breast cancer rail box car. That’s cool.
Great video brother! Today I’m drinking Kirkland!
Nice, but don't use three d6, get D&D dice, d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20. Then, with the d12 you can roll a 1 or a 12 without the probability changing
An alternative if you do not want to buy dice is to roll one die and note if it is odd or even. Then roll the other die. If the first die was odd, just use the value on the second die. If the first die was even, add six to the value of the second die. You could also use a coin with heads or tails instead of the first die.
This gives equal chance to all numbers one through 12 and allows rolling a one on any roll.
There's also plenty of random number generators you can find online.
There's a free android app!
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccp.rpgsimpledice
There are also free dice rolling apps for cellphone that work great, or a simple random number generator that you can set 1-12 and shake your phone to get a new random number in the specified range. Honestly, if you have a yard, this would be a fun way to randomly build a train that you can then run on your loop. :-)
I’m drinking Kicking Horse hola blend while I watch this. Interesting way to add more randomness to just switching boxcars from one industry to another and back to the yard.
A little space, a little fun. What a nice balance. 😄
I think most can relate to the busy life! It is a spirit of our age. Not too busy to drink some Lavazza Gran Riserva coffee from beans. Love the quick hit ideas - just need a layout now...😁
Truer words were never spoken about time spent in the hobby room. Sometimes all the time you have is to rail fan the layout. I have made switch lists with similar time friendly OPs. 20-30 min in duration. On my OPs I have 2 man teams one runs the engine and one is the boots on the ground to throw turn outs and where cars are spotted. They switch jobs on the way back to pick up and spot cars along the route back to the yard. Just another way to have fun. I have one rule when you come to the layout, "If you come...you run" I set my decoders to scale 70mph full throttle they are not slot cars! Founding Fathers Coffee with Italian sweet Crème.
Operations is the best part!
Great video again Jimmy. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how you run your train(s) as long as you run it/them.
Cafeteria coffee with extra grounds 😂😂
Cool ideas. Thanks Jimmy.
Thanks, Jimmy. I enjoy your channel and I’m having a mug of Black Rifle coffee medium roast vanilla flavor with out cream and sugar.
Thanks for the fun ideas. Maxwell House dark roast here today.
Hey Jimmy I'm so happy for you and you did awesome work on your train wow amazing and beautiful work and I applaud 👏 you
Cool ! I'm going to try that, as soon as I have a bit of spare time from work. Thanks!
Great ideas for some quick and easy switching.
Jimmy I love these various ideas of yours. Definately out the box and its fresh!
That was fun. Thanks for sharing.
Probably already shared, but you can us a 12 sided dice to make the roll and even out the probability. Neat ideas for simple switching operations.
A few of those operations are also called a Anglenook, just with variations in how many cars your using. Also hello from my 1:300 & small scale high-seas fleet, where I kinda don't have a coffee everyday...
Kool stuff. Can't wait to start Mt own. Great video jimmy.
Thanks Jimmy, I love that "switcheroo" idea. I will try it out real soon.
1:59 - do you have a magnet under your track there? Finished my cup of Cameron's Breakfast Blend, moving on to Coca Cola for the rest of the day.
I so love this!
Very good ideas Jimmy. This would be easy to do as a layout is being built for additional interest.
Community Morning Special
Great ideas for short operations! One note: You can download both dice rolling apps and random number apps to your smartphone instead of rolling physical dice. That also eliminates the whole problem of rolling a "1" with 2D6. :-) I am already planning to use the random roll train building exercise to build trains for long runs on the loop. Awesome idea!
You eat and sleep!? I thought you just drank coffee.
it’s been 347 days I slept.
Thank you for sharing your details video
Those are some good ideas. With the last one (12 cars) would it not be easier to use a 12-sided die?
I'm drinking maxwell house coffee with international delight sweet cream flavor creamer
What kind of trucks/couplers do you use on your rolling stock? Great video
😊
Drinking Black Diamond Roast With Cinnamon , Black with 2. Sugar's ! When Your Busy , you have very little time to run Your Train's , That's A Fact .
Hey Jimmy, great ideas. I noticed that you have an Atlas SD60 (I think), if that's what it is, would you recommend it? I'm eyeing one at my local-ish hobby store. Do you think you will ever do locomotive reviews?
Hello! Yes I have considered it, and I have a potential plan, but it will take some work to make it. I love both of my Atlas SD-60s they are a solid runners.
I like the dice/switcheroo. I will try that one with the girlfriend. Folgers K Cup today.☕️🚂🚃🇨🇦🇺🇲🙋
