      I think if you get your car to a certain mileage, manufacturers should give you a new one for free. I know it happens sometimes but I’d like it to be a consistent thing. Loll

      We also had a 2005 town and country. I think it got to around 250k and we sold it. Just got to be too much of a pain fixing all the time. But those vans had a lot of various little problems haha.

      Ding, ding, ding. That is where I would start as well. Check to make sure no pins got bent. Then move on to power, grounds and any communication wires at that connector.

      People run to computers too often instead of just being a mechanic like they used too. I’m a mechanic, but most things can be fixed without the use of that fancy scanner. Although nice, I just feel it’s too much of a luxury for some.

      @@Drewski559 unfortunately that’s the day and age we live in. Everything’s computerized on these new cars, but pre 2019 I find is still relatively easy to work with. These 2022-2023’s have too many computers and sensors. They made it that way so repairing would have to be more of a dealer thing. Especially when they decide to lock obd2 ports on certain models 😂

    That is a dodge journey and I regret ever buying a dodge journey or a dodge in general. Most common issue is electrical/sensors. If you buy a dodge be aware your dash board will show multiple lights on the cluster for things needing replaced. Worst case it will be needing a head gasket replace. My Dodge journey , a friend dodge avenger and a co worker has a dodge and all 3 of ours have a head gasket leak but doesn’t run hot. Be sure to stock up on coolant and oil 😂

I immediately went to the pcm and pushed the transmission connector (green) the gear select indicator came back on and it was able to start. Typical for the NGC connectors to be broken off by mechanics

    Did you access autoAuth to gain entry to network with you scan tool? 2018 and new Chryslers require it to get through their secure gateway. Maybe that is why your scanner would not connect and it actually not a computer/programming problem but something simple.

    • @lovetolearn5253
      @lovetolearn5253 7 місяців тому +2

      @@cody39yrsagree it was a bold statement but has some merit. This should of been a up front diag. First scan the car and if you have no com go to step 2. Check power and grounds at module then the high speed network. Most likely not a program issue. I would lean more towards power or ground. Also maybe he hooked a wire up wrong during motor swap and fried a module or 2. I just came across this channel and he seems like a great guy. He needs a little more diagnostic skills before calling modules.
