- That's right, I bought another one. But it's not what you think. I just needed some parts, and buying a whole second car was the easier way for me to find these parts. I wanted full black interior for my K-swapped FD and this was the best way to do it.

I can't get over how gorgeous those seats look. I don't recall OEM seats being made out of that fabric, I know the 99 spec JDM seats have the black fabric with red threading that looks absolutely sick... Dude, you need to take some pictures of the seats and post em up on social media! LOL

This makes me want to tear the interior out of my Subaru just to install sound deadening and felt tape on the plastics
Amen to that man! So many rattles and creaks in the Subaru interiors.
Made me sad when they did the airbag recall on mine. The dash was fine before, now it rattles pretty bad.
Same to my Lancer. Everyone knows Evos/Lancers have cheap interiors, which I love, but the rattles *suck* .
I did that last fall and it is more than worth it
I definitely recommend it, I sound deadened my vette and it transformed the car. The subaru is next and I'm sure its going to be even better than the vette.

A 4g63 swap is a lot rare and it almost sounds like a rotary
Why do people hate the tan interior? FDs with original colour combos will be worth a fortune in future.. I wish my Silver FD had the red interior..
It’s going take one popular UA-camr or tuner to come out and build a tan interior then everyone will be scrambling to find tan parts.

This is kind of weird, but watching all of these detailing/detail-focused videos for project cars really help inspire me to clean my room. The amount of effort G&G put into their content just has this vibe that gets me feeling like I should put in that little bit more effort, especially during these strange times. Thanks guys.

@@DimV93" back to black" would be a good start, polishing plastics. Idk what that runs but did it on the daily. Turned out pretty good and hides scratches. There's companies that do it but no clue what that runs. DIY under 50 bucks

The editing for this video is so good. It made the whole process feel like we were on this interior journey with Ben. The real standout talents of these guys is their editing. Many other channels and car shows have similar production value, but fall short of these guys when it comes to editing and visual story telling. A-1 premium job.

There's a whole cottage industry yet to be born where 'classic' car interiors are 3d modeled for 3d printing and simply wrapped with fresh vinyl material. Could be worth millions and millions. Also for updating interiors, I imagine the Porsche community would pay a lot for modern style interior panels to be fitted directly to a 996 or 997 911 wrapped with fresh leather or alcantara . Those interiors wear out horribly yet the cars remain worth lots used.

The tan interior on my GS-R never bothered me but huge kudos for doing a full interior swap
no wonder the prices for even non running FDS are so high
I found a series 2 FB in the junkyard with great condition black carpet which was awesome because I'm also converting my 1980 SA22C LS' brown interior to black as well and had a hell of a time getting it out, but instead of removing my dash which is also "required" I just cut the under dash section right through the middle and cut out my old brown carpet to pull it out. Then I just plopped the black carpet in and worked the under dash section in and that was it. You wouldn't;t know it was cut unless you went to remove the carpet yourself and am very happy with it
