That’s my dad Chris and truthfully he’s an amazing guy. I was church hurt for a long time and it took years for me. Personally I even gave up on God all together but eventually with a lot of healing rededicated my life to the Lord. My dad I can honestly say is one of the kindest most loving people you’ll ever meet but he will talk your ear off if you’ll let him! Thank you for allowing him to come by I’ve heard him talk about you for a very long time and trust me when I say you fulfilled a dream of his! 😂
My husband is definitely church hurt. He got sick of hearing the priest always talking about people not donating enough money. We could barely make the basics. We were very young. In the early 80's. We had 1 junker for a car. We had two kids. Youngest was always sick. Ear infections were never ending. 😓 So.. he was done. I went with the kids. Made sure they received their sacraments.

Pastor Gary Hamrick and his staff too. You can go there anytime. They make you feel that belong there forever. They love you, even on line, as if you were a meet with them always. I’m church hurt too. The Baptist church came to collect unpaid tithes from my dying grandmother. The Catholic church refused to christen my niece’s twins cuz she hadn’t been to mass. Well that’s cuz she was on bed rest through her pregnancy. My niece grew up in that church. I decided i was done with organized religion. I believe u don’t have to go sit in a church to live a Christian life.
I went to a Lutheran church throughout most of my life and was quite active. When my daughter was planning her wedding she wanted to get married at that church. We made arrangements. At rehearsal I heard the woman who handles weddings make snide remarks about how my family wasn't one of the important families in the church. I about had a fit!!
The fact that there is a term called 'church hurt' tells you all you need to know Lester. If it happens enough that they made a name for it then don't waste your time worrying over it. Church is your family, your land, and your animals.
So very true. I've not stepped inside a church in years. I also have my personal reasons. I was raised in the church and went to parochial school from kindergarten to 12th grade. With all my trials and tribulations I still pray my rosary every night. If I am near a chapel I'll walk in light a candle and pray. Lester is a good man and I respect his reasons.❤

I was Church Hurt about 30 years ago and haven't been back since. Didn't affect my beliefs any, I just didn't need the "social" of it all. I have been going to church online for the past 10 years and enjoy every minute of it. I don't need a building or the pettiness/hypocrisy of the CHURCH GOING CHRISTIANS.

I’m giving church attendance another try, but the hardest lesson I had to learn was to forgive those in the church who hurt me. Forgiveness has been a valuable gift for me. God bless you. 🩷
I remember being hurt by a church, but finally found a church home and I have the best fellowship and community. Five of the women and I have breakfast every Wednesday together, and every summer we go on a girls vacation. We also love all the others members and we have such a healthy relationship. My pastor and his wife have me over for dinner anytime I am available, and their four children call me mama J and I love it. So I say there are really good churches out there and don’t give up…BLESSINGS

I understand the laziness of people nowadays. On the bright side, we went to lunch today and had the BEST waitress. The food wasn't very good but the service was fantastic. Can you spray paint the cattle panels black so the will blend in better? It would be a lot of work but I think it would look nice.

We don't have a Lowe's but we do have a Home Depot, and all you have to do is ask for help gathering and loading inside the store and to your vehicle, or when you check out with the cashier for anything being picked up outside. They'll send someone right away. They even have a giant saw in back and will cut lumber, plywood etc. to your needed measurements for free!
Customer service should be their first thoughts. Well, what a perfectly balanced morning. I was suprised how well Chris was able to approach Jolene, she is the wrecking ball, and he just went right up there and rubbed her head and she let him. Its amazing how intuitive animals are. I have been church hurt many years ago and it takes a lot of time to get over that. My faith and belief in God has never wavered but my ability to congregate inside a building with other people has been really hard to get back into. Mr Chris was exactly right in what he told you! Keep your faith and your love for others and just give yourself time to get ver the “ hurt”. Love your channel and what you do for the animals and everyone in your family!!! Amen, please always be with and protect all the Morrow’s and fur babies! You and a Chris were almost twining with your outfits. Nobody wants to work or take pride in their professions anymore. My husband almost died today because of negligence and laziness. The brakes in his car needed to be replaced so he dropped the truck off early this morning. He went back this afternoon and picked up the supposed fixed brakes. He pulls off starts driving over 65 for about 15 minutes and then congestion was starting so he applied his brakes and they didn’t work! He had to quickly get over three lanes and drive on grass to slow down enough to be able to pull the emergency brake safely. The tow truck came and as they lifted the truck a part fell off.😳 They towed him to the dealership and he politely yelled at them and they told him to relax! He said relax, you almost got me killed and made my wife a widow today. 🤬 Can you even imagine, lucky it wasn’t me at the dealership. I might’ve gotten arrested for jumping over the counter after the guy after he said relax. I’m glad you meet Minister Chris.

My pastor who founded our church, first passed the pulpit to his son, and then when he passed away, and was no longer in the congregation, the church name changed, and my spirit wasn't being fed by the sermons. Not to say the son was a bad preacher. The fabric of the church changed and I have yet to be called to another church for regular attendance. If anything, it has brought my walk with the Lord closer, because I rely more on him than I was doing with group prayers, in church services. Mine is a daily, all day long walk now more than it was before. We ARE the church
“We ARE the Church” is the most epic statement of this entire thread. Growing up I was always taught that my body is God’s Temple that we should care for as if we were caring for Jesus himself. He lives within our hearts & souls and around all of us. I interpreted that as my body is my Church where I can worship and walk with the Lord anytime and always. Lester, all you have to do at Home Depot or Lowe’s is just tell the cashier that you need help loading materials and they will call someone to come help you.
@@longhornlestersYou can ask for help loading things in the store as well. I had to accept that in 2013 and the years since I became disabled and can’t pickup more than a 6 pack of sodas anymore. Was a very hard pill to swallow considering this girl could lift up to 100lbs by myself before then.
It's just pretty frustrating when they obviously have hired people to help customers but unless you ask they just sit there and watch you. You should never have to ask they should do their job, it's just the way this younger generation is reply too busy sitting in the shade playing games on their phones.

The Bible clearly teaches us to love others and I’m so sorry that you were treated poorly after hurricane Harvey. I’ve watched your videos for many years now, and I can tell that you love Jesus and love others, but you are just sour to “the church”, which is very sad. My experience with churches growing up in Ohio, Florida and now Georgia, are completely positive. My church families have been just that, an extension of my family and it makes me sad to hear people who have been mistreated by so-called Christian’s. I am so glad you got to talk to Chris today. When I've heard you talk about church, I've thought the same thing Chris said. I've experienced church hurt too and I've had to learn to forgive those who hurt me even if they didn't ask for it. Forgiving is for me, not them in order for me to move forward and be healed. I'm grateful for that lesson. Maybe one day you can find a way to do the same.

Keep the faith Lester, I’ve actually quit going to church, not necessarily because of the church, but because of my aches , pains , plus I have gone by myself and I wish my hubby would go with me, and I drive 25 minutes everyday to work, and when I’m home I want to stay home
My husband travelled from Northern Canada to North Carolina for work. He said the second he walked outside it was like being slapped with a hot wet blanket.
This video touched me. The prayer at the beginning was so calming. Chris has a gentle voice and you can tell he knows the Lord. Glad you agreed to visit with him. I've been Church hurt as well and haven't been in many years. I've used every excuse not to go. One you miss one Sunday is easy to miss more and more. God will judge the people putting stumbling blocks for others. I need to go but I can't decide where. There's one thing I know and that is I'm not going to a church with stages/productions and I want to hear preaching from the Bible not attend a self improvement seminar. We need to hear about Jesus! I live in Ohio by Lake Erie it is super humid here too! Yesterday it was 88 and 83% humidity! It humid here all the time…I had to mow my yard and I was completely wet by the time I was done! Anyhow, that sucks that those people were such lazy a$$es and basically rude!!! It’s sad that there isn’t any work ethic anymore! It’s refreshing when you find someone that actually works. I was church hurt years ago by the Catholic Church. Tried the Christian church. Same thing. I’m not a fan of so called organized religion. I don’t need a church. It’s all money and hypocrisy anymore. Lester, I remember years ago when you shared your church experience with us and I remember you saying you didn't need a building to see God. You pointed to various animals and each one you said you saw God. The one that really hit my heart was little Journey, who you and Jami gave the best life possible with all her physical problems. I think she was sitting on the mower like the little lady she was, and you pointed to her and " I see God." That was the most beautiful testimony I ever heard and how fitting that God sent Pastor Chris to come visit you in your field and bless you and the animals in your care. ❤
Lester, I was a Sunday school teacher for 9 years. I love the going to church. Until our beloved pastor moved and we got a new Pator, she was wonderful and congratation love her. For the last 2 years of teaching, there was couple of women. Would take bad about Sunday school director and choir director. I would not say anything. But one day I put in my resignation as a teacher it was week after choir director resignated and two day after Sunday school director resigned. I was as why I simply said I can't listen to the "ungodly " comment that are being made by other congratation members in front of the children. That now after year or listening to these members, I choose take myself and my children out of that situation. I told the pator I will pray for them, but No one should have be in the house of the Lord and feel like crap. I kept my distance and was friendly to them. But I couldn't go back to a place where I should feel im around loving friendly and Godly people. If someone they didn't or did like they would kick you at your lowest point. The Pastor did say something but would just say they are God's children and we need to pray for them. REALLY after heartbreaking decisions I left the church. The ironic thing the world comment my divorce and finding wonderful man wirh 2 boys . I had two children. We did marry. Been together for 30 years with 5 beautiful grandchildren. The two people that was the throne are divorced now and are miserable. I pray from them. So I know how you feel. God Bless.

I'm familiar with "church hurt" in some of the most extreme ways. I recently left a cult after nearly 30 years. The past two years I have spent deconstructing all of my beliefs about church, God, relationships, my own identity... it has been so painful and also so rewarding. I'm still trying to figure out some of what I believe about God. I'm still trying to figure out how to trust people who call themselves Christians. Church hurt, or Spiritual wounds, are some of the deepest and most traumatic kinds of betrayal, abuse, and trauma. I'm proud of you for your faith journey. ❤❤❤

Lester I’ve been church hurt since I was 15 years old. I continued to go to church until I was about 23 but all the churches I went to the pastor were caught having an affair with one of the church members. I went back in my 30’s and the same thing happened. I have more faith in God since I stopped going because I didn’t look towards a man to destroy my faith. I say I’m a follower of Christ now because “Christians” give religion a bad name. You can believe in God wherever you are. You don’t need a brick and mortar building to believe and worship Him ❤️❤️❤️

Getting help today at any retailer can be difficult. My Publix where I normally shop, always help take groceries to your car. I went to a different one & no offer of help. I am 73, walk with a cane & had a cast on my arm. I was unable to get help. Will never shop at that Publix again. You should have asked those guys what their job was...They obviously don't know. I bet if you had flashed some cash at them, they would've helped! It was nice to see the JL be blessed. Many of us are church hurt Lester, including a lifelong Catholic friend of mine! I'm still a believer but not of organized churches.
Lester my son was church hurt when he was young. He and my daughter quit going at 12yrs of age. I have given each of my kids Bibles. When troubles come and we talk grab your b Bible read it believe it. This reading believing will help❤❤

I was Church Hurt about 30 years ago and haven't been back since. Didn't affect my beliefs any, I just didn't need the "social" of it all. I have been going to church online for the past 10 years and enjoy every minute of it. I don't need a building or the pettiness/hypocrisy of the CHURCH GOING CHRISTIANS.

I remember being hurt by a church, but finally found a church home and I have the best fellowship and community. Five of the women and I have breakfast every Wednesday together, and every summer we go on a girls vacation. We also love all the others members and we have such a healthy relationship. My pastor and his wife have me over for dinner anytime I am available, and their four children call me mama J and I love it. So I say there are really good churches out there and don’t give up…BLESSINGS

We don't have a Lowe's but we do have a Home Depot, and all you have to do is ask for help gathering and loading inside the store and to your vehicle, or when you check out with the cashier for anything being picked up outside. They'll send someone right away. They even have a giant saw in back and will cut lumber, plywood etc. to your needed measurements for free!

I have been church hurt many years ago and it takes a lot of time to get over that. My faith and belief in God has never wavered but my ability to congregate inside a building with other people has been really hard to get back into. Mr Chris was exactly right in what he told you! Keep your faith and your love for others and just give yourself time to get ver the “ hurt”. Love your channel and what you do for the animals and everyone in your family!!! Amen, please always be with and protect all the Morrow’s and fur babies! You and a Chris were almost twining with your outfits. Nobody wants to work or take pride in their professions anymore. My husband almost died today because of negligence and laziness. The brakes in his car needed to be replaced so he dropped the truck off early this morning. He went back this afternoon and picked up the supposed fixed brakes. He pulls off starts driving over 65 for about 15 minutes and then congestion was starting so he applied his brakes and they didn’t work! He had to quickly get over three lanes and drive on grass to slow down enough to be able to pull the emergency brake safely. The tow truck came and as they lifted the truck a part fell off.😳 They towed him to the dealership and he politely yelled at them and they told him to relax! He said relax, you almost got me killed and made my wife a widow today. 🤬 Can you even imagine, lucky it wasn’t me at the dealership. I might’ve gotten arrested for jumping over the counter after the guy after he said relax. I’m glad you meet Minister Chris.

My pastor who founded our church, first passed the pulpit to his son, and then when he passed away, and was no longer in the congregation, the church name changed, and my spirit wasn't being fed by the sermons. Not to say the son was a bad preacher. The fabric of the church changed and I have yet to be called to another church for regular attendance. If anything, it has brought my walk with the Lord closer, because I rely more on him than I was doing with group prayers, in church services. Mine is a daily, all day long walk now more than it was before. We ARE the church
“We ARE the Church” is the most epic statement of this entire thread. Growing up I was always taught that my body is God’s Temple that we should care for as if we were caring for Jesus himself. He lives within our hearts & souls and around all of us. I interpreted that as my body is my Church where I can worship and walk with the Lord anytime and always. It's just pretty frustrating when they obviously have hired people to help customers but unless you ask they just sit there and watch you. You should never have to ask they should do their job, it's just the way this younger generation is reply too busy sitting in the shade playing games on their phones.

I’ve watched your videos for many years now, and I can tell that you love Jesus and love others, but you are just sour to “the church”, which is very sad. My experience with churches growing up in Ohio, Florida and now Georgia, are completely positive. My church families have been just that, an extension of my family and it makes me sad to hear people who have been mistreated by so-called Christian’s. I am so glad you got to talk to Chris today. When I've heard you talk about church, I've thought the same thing Chris said. I've experienced church hurt too and I've had to learn to forgive those who hurt me even if they didn't ask for it. Forgiving is for me, not them in order for me to move forward and be healed. I'm grateful for that lesson. Maybe one day you can find a way to do the same.

I've been Church hurt as well and haven't been in many years. I've used every excuse not to go. One you miss one Sunday is easy to miss more and more. God will judge the people putting stumbling blocks for others. I need to go but I can't decide where. There's one thing I know and that is I'm not going to a church with stages/productions and I want to hear preaching from the Bible not attend a self improvement seminar. We need to hear about Jesus! I live in Ohio by Lake Erie it is super humid here too! Yesterday it was 88 and 83% humidity! It humid here all the time…I had to mow my yard and I was completely wet by the time I was done! Lester, I remember years ago when you shared your church experience with us and I remember you saying you didn't need a building to see God. You pointed to various animals and each one you said you saw God. The one that really hit my heart was little Journey, who you and Jami gave the best life possible with all her physical problems. I think she was sitting on the mower like the little lady she was, and you pointed to her and " I see God." That was the most beautiful testimony I ever heard and how fitting that God sent Pastor Chris to come visit you in your field and bless you and the animals in your care. ❤

Lester, I was a Sunday school teacher for 9 years. I love the going to church. Until our beloved pastor moved and we got a new Pator, she was wonderful and congratation love her. For the last 2 years of teaching, there was couple of women. Would take bad about Sunday school director and choir director. I would not say anything. But one day I put in my resignation as a teacher it was week after choir director resignated and two day after Sunday school director resigned.
I was as why I simply said I can't listen to the "ungodly " comment that are being made by other congratation members in front of the children. That now after year or listening to these members, I choose take myself and my children out of that situation. I told the pator I will pray for them, but No one should have be in the house of the Lord and feel like crap. I kept my distance and was friendly to them. But I couldn't go back to a place where I should feel im around loving friendly and Godly people. If someone they didn't or did like they would kick you at your lowest point. The Pastor did say something but would just say they are God's children and we need to pray for them. REALLY after heartbreaking decisions I left the church. The ironic thing the world comment my divorce and finding wonderful man wirh 2 boys . I had two children. We did marry. Been together for 30 years with 5 beautiful grandchildren. The two people that was the throne are divorced now and are miserable. I pray from them.

I'm familiar with "church hurt" in some of the most extreme ways. I recently left a cult after nearly 30 years. The past two years I have spent deconstructing all of my beliefs about church, God, relationships, my own identity... it has been so painful and also so rewarding. I'm still trying to figure out some of what I believe about God. I'm still trying to figure out how to trust people who call themselves Christians. Church hurt, or Spiritual wounds, are some of the deepest and most traumatic kinds of betrayal, abuse, and trauma. I'm proud of you for your faith journey. ❤❤❤

Lester I’ve been church hurt since I was 15 years old. I continued to go to church until I was about 23 but all the churches I went to the pastor were caught having an affair with one of the church members. I went back in my 30’s and the same thing happened. I have more faith in God since I stopped going because I didn’t look towards a man to destroy my faith. I say I’m a follower of Christ now because “Christians” give religion a bad name. You can believe in God wherever you are. You don’t need a brick and mortar building to believe and worship Him ❤️❤️❤️

Getting help today at any retailer can be difficult. My Publix where I normally shop, always help take groceries to your car. I went to a different one & no offer of help. I am 73, walk with a cane & had a cast on my arm. I was unable to get help. Will never shop at that Publix again. You should have asked those guys what their job was...They obviously don't know. I bet if you had flashed some cash at them, they would've helped! It was nice to see the JL be blessed. Many of us are church hurt Lester, including a lifelong Catholic friend of mine! I'm still a believer but not of organized churches.
