I love how streamlined this synth is. I am not the most super technical synthesis sound designer but everything about how this device is laid out is super intuitive. Great breakdown.
Haha they are both great but tension is like an electric keyboard type of sound, and collision modèled acoustic intrument. So they are very specific type of synth, they are not like operator analog wavetable or drift that are more classic substractive synth
First I will identify each section and what they are made off, then will try to see how thing (each section or parameter) connect/interact with each other, spending a bit more time on the exclusive features. Then it's a lot of experimentation... So quite some time, the thing is the more you spend time the more toi discover thing...
💣 I just made a Drift Techno Presets Bank here : ua-cam.com/video/6PKfTarRfaY/v-deo.html

It's super intuitive, but it also slightly different enough than other synth to get inspired differently without being lost neither, great balance
Awesome tutorial!
Thank you! Cheers!
i think drift is one of the best instruments abletons added in years . the collision and tension i dont think ive ever used yet
Sorry bro what's is collision and tension? 😁 Never noticed they were in Ableton live.

While I heard a lot of people praising it, I still can't figure out how it is any different from anything already in ableton
Nicely done 🙌
Thank you! Cheers!

Hey, hopefully you are working on Drift presets set. I will be waiting for dat!
I am but probably not ready before january, I would like to create a "expressive bank" with preset with MPE possibility so it's gonna take times...
How do you break down a synth? How many hours do you spend to understand a new synth?
