    Hey Jimmy...
When you go to Chinandega, go on a Saturday... Look for their market!
Everyone is outside. Talking, playing games with the neighbour... You'll like the setup!
Nice hotel called Los Balcones! The one with the restaurant attached to it charged me 45$ per night about 4 months ago.
P.S. Do not take the room (i did) near the reception... You will actually hear the ventilator from above.
    Good job again Scott!
    ;)

    Hi Jimmy.
When you go volcanoe boarding don't put your feet down...
It will ruin the experience... From atop, it looks really steep and dangerous... But it's not!
P.S. It's a long way to get there... If your bus meets a water truck coming your way, It may take another 30 minutes of your time since only one vehicule can get through...
If you go to los Hervideros de San Jacinto, please give something (a dollar?) to the kid that will bring you some hot clay. With which your wife can make herself a nice face mask!
As you will be going down that small patch of road, the last house on your right is also a tiny shop... Very friendly lady!
Made me a full pitcher of lemonade when i had only asked her for a little water to clean my feet.
These same folks will politely ask you if you need a guide to go to that same volcanoe we talked about. It's a 3 hour walk and you will be seeing It from the other side.
When you return from visiting the mud (lava) when you get to the road crossing of that tiny village... walk just a few minutes to your right and soon you will see on your left that an older lady has opened a huge place to eat or to relax having a beer.
I wish i had pictures but lost my phone in Peneloya...

Where did the plans for the basílica come from? If from Spain, I'd like to know the route the boat traveled.

Hi Scott, thanks for the video! I really appreciate if you could please sincerely share with me about the safety right NOW in Nicaragua or Granada. is everything normal and safe for tourists to come?
U.S government sent alert saying "reconsider to travel" (high risk to visit). Exercise increased caution in Nicaragua due to crime, political unstable.
I have a 11 months old baby with me. I want to make sure it's safe and normal to go around to enjoy the country. I booked airfare and hotel a while ago. I read a lot about the safety Nicaragua but all that videos were like a year ago. Thank you so much for your help!
    All the best,
    Dzung.

It's way safer than in the US, thats for sure. LOL. Remember as a traveler, never look at the US State Department site, that's completely fake and it is there to steer you where they want you to go and has no factual info. Nicaragua is famously low crime (and lower than the US) and extremely stable. Literally the video I made for today is debunking the concerns over Guatemala (which is unstable) because political stability has no effect on a tourist. Nicaragua is stable, not unstable, but that doesn't impact you either way.
Nicaragua and El Salvador are the safest countries in the region. El Salvador is safer than Canada, Nicaragua safer than the US, and rumours we hear from Canada is that Nicaragua is safer than Canada too... we keep hearing that Canada has gotten so dangerous that they aren't releasing numbers anymore. Canadians move to NIcaragua to get away from violence now.
Unless you want to go to Europe or Asia, you won't find anywhere safer than the Nicaragua / El Salvador corridor in the Western Hemisphere.

My videos release in real time. SOmetimes they are delayed by about a week. ONce in a while I mix in travel footage (my Mexican episodes are many weeks delayed.) Anything you see from Nicaragua is at most two weeks old. Look around. You can see how safe it is. I walk super poor, isolated barrios... totally safe. I'm alone, with a camera... totally safe.

@@ScottAlanMillerVlog I'm so happy to hear that from you. I'm truly grateful for your help, Scott!!!
Before I booked The ticket and hotel, I'm aware of how safe and friendly the community is, then just today I realize all this video was one or two years ago and recently the US put Nicaragua as high risk
I travel with my baby so I don't want because I want to travel and bring my boy into danger, I will regret all my life.
I am from Vietnam and now living in Nebraska, I traveled to 13 countries now include Asia, Europe, few states thorough America... I always feel safe. Hopefully the political issue is only on "paper" or "media", not that true at all. Sorry I am still nervous but I truly appreciate your time!!!

    Question.....
How is the noise pollution in Leon ? Like car horns, and blasting music at nite, barking dogs, crowing roosters ? All of which i heard is normal in Mexico, Ecuador, and other latin American countries.. Im looking for a quiet, non tourist beach town where i can play in the surf, workout get a good massage, relax at local Pub for some great seafood and good company. Simple life. A Marina nearby would be a plus. As i enjoy boat life.

    • @ScottAlanMillerVlog
      @ScottAlanMillerVlog  Місяць тому +3

Oh it's bad. lol. Any populated area in Nicaragua will be quite loud. People make noise here. If you are breathing, you are making noise.
Some of those things are hard to put together. A pub, marina, quiet area, massage, non-tourist.... that's a tough combination to try to find.
