I also use this method for alt acc changing. The other thing I have done is made a short cut to Prime.exe on desktop so I don't have to always go through the launcher to run the game. I only run the launcher when a patch or update has been rolled out.
You probably could, I haven't specifically tested that only because I have all of my content creation settings and such in the one profile. Let me test that, now you've got me curious. Lol.. I'll report back!

question, couldn't you just create another user account for windows and just log into that without constantly editing the registry?

Yep! That would work as well! I'm not sure how many people would have multiple Win profiles, but it can definitely be done. Good catch!
