Riggs' inability to figure out a choke on a gas cart makes me giggle. There's that Harvard hahaha.
Narrator is a little jarring with the content but this is the type of stuff that we want to see, the lads on the course having a laugh
LordJamieStark I don’t know about everyone else, but it’d be nice if they actually discussed professional golf. Instead of just using the platform to hangout with pros and play nice courses... they literally never talk about the PGA tour..
LordJamieStark totally. Either give him a better script to fit with the voice or change the voice to fit the script.
@@mtzdude31 Agreed the Peter alliss impression just missed the mark unfortunately
Don’t ever add that narration ever again, keep it raw. Makes it 1,000 times better
This content is so good raw. Don’t bother with the extra production of a narrator if it means this videos take so long to get posted. The playtrons just want to watch Frankie knife chips not some planet earth/golf fusion documentary.
The video takes months to come out, like we don’t want all the narration. I bet they have stuff from early 2019
Mm
This course is PHENOMENAL! One of the best courses I've ever played. Glad you guys were able to enjoy it.
This video made me realize how good Tourist Sauce is
So you straight up copied No Laying Up's tourist sauce, but did it with the production value of a high school project.
Lol and it took them 6 months
*Elementary School
@Sam Chadwick your analogy is a bigger miss than Frankie's first tee shot. Who makes a laughing emoji at their own bad joke?
Used the Mike Strantz video too, almost like you’ve all watched the Tourist Sauce season
Rather see every shot then all the extra production.
Man..that is 299 shots...trust me when I say you do not want to see every shot
@@gtaylor9218 Trust me when I say that UA-cam Golf does want to see every shot. Course vlogs are huge and way less expensive.
@@SM-po9wf less expensive than what? The extra production?...I just feel seeing them dribble or shank 50+ shots might be a bit much...I agree more golf should be shown though
@@gtaylor9218 Yes, exactly the extra production and narrator. They have done the course vlog with kisner and was a hundred times better. I enjoyed this but I prefer an actual course vlog. Having said that, I know this isn't a course vlog but a travel show. Just saying what I prefer and pretty sure UA-cam Golf does too.
Also the time they have to take to do the interview part.
Great content. The narrator was a miss but good stuff all the same
mprince6 agree. The amount of negativity towards these guys is crazy. Replace or get rid of the narrator and I’m good
Yeah everything is great except this narrator. They've done a couple of videos like this and the narrating is awful. But I love when we get to see the full 18 hole videos.
Yeah narrator is trash
10/10 coulda done without the narrator !
It's crazy how much better these videos have become over the last couple of years. Cheers to you guys.
The David Attenborough narration didn't work!
They worked on this since November...
I absolutely love this course so much. This video brought back memories of playing it back to back years with my dad, uncle, and dads boss/best friend. I played terrible but loved every second of it. Can’t wait to play it again
I have probably watched this video 10-15 times. Gets me fired up to play there every time. The edit is great too!
Should do this at tot hill farms!
Man I really wish these guys had a true golf channel that had full matches and full course vlogs
Trent: “I’m a bit like Tiger in that way” - all time line 😂
Just played this course twice, largely due to this video. Amazing experience. I don't know of any course on the planet quite like it.
This course is so amazing. So much fun. I played terribly when I was there and still had an amazing time.
Eerily similar to Tourist Sauce..
Patrick Cormier was going to say no laying up did it first
But way worse
It could of been good with a better editor but this stinks
They are off brand NLUN😂
Tourist Sauce is great, this is below average.
This video is why I decided to make this my go to course on my Pinehurst area golf trip.
Straight up rip of the No Laying Up fellas.
This video set the game of golf back a hundred years
Back before they let the blacks on the course! Thanks a lot, Fore Play! >: (
LOVE the idea of full course vlogs. Please keep these coming. A few fixes around audio, commentary, etc. but a great idea overall.
played tobacco road last November, unfortunately the weather was miserable but still enjoy every second of it. Sick course indeed
PULL THE DAMN CHOKE RIGGS!
No joke I was yelling that at my screen the whole time
“I’m a bit like Tiger that way” one of the funniest and most ludicrous statements ever
Love the fact that Trent tries to stop Frankie as if hes losing control and is about to fall 33:31
Honestly appreciate the efforts to make some solid content, but if this wasn't Tobacco Road this would be unwatchable. The guys might play like wildlife but it doesn't have to be Planet Earth. Hope they consult with NLU to put it together for the next go.
This is exactly what I needed. I’ve watched the Kisner video about 15 times so
“Do birds run out of breath” dead XD
riggs 6 handicap lmao
Brenten Brazeal more like an 18
He might get handicapped parking, but thats about it!
Frankie at a 9 is even less believable honestly. Riggs' short game bails him out enough to score, even if his swing isn't the purest
Riggs blew his handicap on the front 9, it's a joke that he still claims that is real
No way in hell. More like 10-15
Played it last week. It’s a beast, but if you bring your game it’s as much fun as you’ll have anywhere. The good shots feel like career shots.
The architect of this course also designed a few other really awesome courses that play the same way.. big fairways, a lot of options, and tough greens. True Blue and Caledonia (both in Pawley's Island/Myrtle Beach, SC) and Bulls Bay (Charleston, SC) which is very private but I'm sure you guys could manage something. True Blue is my favorite course ever.
Heard true blue and Caledonia are awesome. I’ve only played Grand Dunes and World Tour. Good courses, but itching to get back up there and play True Blue
Chris has been working there a long time! Everything is great at this course!!
Tobacco Road is my favorite course. I've made at trip there every year for about 15 years. I am laughing hysterically at them. The more you play it the easier it gets.
Love it. Keep making more. Makes those nights on the road away from the family a little bit more enjoyable!!
Played this course a few times and it's more beautiful than the pics and video can provide. Mentally challenging but a great play!
Just finished watching, already planning my trip there
AWESOME AWESOME course!!
no laying up golf did this already?
Yes and 10x better
I'm a big NLU fan but I like the hole overviews in this. You kind of know what the guys are facing.
Nobody watches no laying up
This was fun to watch Narrator and all. "I'm a bit like Tiger in that." :-D
I so want to play that course. Thanks guys
Frankie lining up heavy draw at 13:10 and thinking he can turn that over is hilarious
he tried to go for the left fairway, its a split fairway
Without a doubt the BEST video yet.
Great job fellas! Again keep up the quality work. Videos are always watched from beginning to end. Love every part of it!! It was a story and you guys told it well lol!!
Great course. It is a don't miss if in Pinehurst area. Played it twice in the same day!!!!
Well done boys. The best yet. By far.
Tobacco Road is a real treat! Mike Strantz was the Mad Scientist of golf architecture! Gone too soon!
Awesome job guys. Our group is playing there tomorrow.
I used to play this course. Loved it. It's easy to score well for the most parts. Fairways are generous and most par 5s reachable (one I hit driver 9 cut over trees). Great risk reward value, has a lot of shotmaking variety and spectacular layout.
Actually surprised at all of the criticism. Love this series. Big fan of course vlogs but they can get boring sometimes. Effects like this make it more than just a course vlog. I watched the whole thing through. Need more of these!
That was incredible, and entertaining! What is the course and slope rating there?
I didn't mind the narrating but I agree with everyone else commenting, the more-so raw videos are the best.
This content is almost as majestic as Riggs bold beautiful golden bald head.
idk what yall are talking about, i freaking loved the narrator
That drone shot of 13 was 🔥
Other than the narrator, loved the video boys! Just added Tobacco Road to bucket list
Let’s see more shots and side bets! Im sure we’ll still watch if you make it a little longer to keep the production, great show boys!
Trent’s par on 15 makes me so happy. Proud of you Trent Daddy.
To all those pointing out that NLU did this first: Yes NLU did it before Fore Play and I love NLU, but it's not like it was THAT original of an idea to travel to a destination golf course and film the round. In fact, I'm sure somebody did it before NLU. I think there's room for multiple golf travel series, and I'm happy for it. NLU can only produce so much content, after all, so this fills in the gaps.
Also, the NLU guys have all gotten too good at golf (according to Furyk, TC is a scratch golfer now...). I kinda like seeing real duffers hitting OB and swiping repeatedly in the bunkers. Gives me the perspective of the golf course that I'll be seeing it from when I play.
This place is nuts...a MUST play if you’re in the area. Sand all over but not a single damn bunker on the property. Shot an 80 here once and shot like a 95 a few months after.
Loveee playing this course so much
One of my favorites in NC. Second highest slope in the Carolinas only behind Ocean Course at Kiawah!
Frank with his putter and new head cover just buried in the sand!!!
The golf course looks absolutely outstanding but I just wanna punch that narrator in the face.
Video production is over 9000!
Great video! Miss the whole round videos but hey its still really good!!
Need more of this
I have actual feelings of love for Trent hahaha the mans a hero
I've wanted this full course video forever! I want to see more of this style of content including the causal bullshitting at the hotel/house you guys stay at!
Saying in a video that hundreds of thousands of people are going to watch, that after the first hole you're not going to play well is kinda fucked tbh. Golf is a hard game already, imo don't kill the round after the first hole. Push through it, believe in yourself!! Cheers from Canada. I do like the content, keep it going lads...
Just played Tobacco Road yesterday. I saw the hole Frankies putt took a nose dive off of and nodded in understanding.
I got that same putter head cover, Frankie. Just in a tobacco leaf brown color
Heading down to Pinehurst in 2 weeks. I have a free day. Should I play this course or Talamore? Im a single digit golfer.
The narrator is definitely Trent
Love the full 18 vids like this, imo your best content
Great stuff guys
Excellent work boys!
Course looks incredible
I love the pod, enjoy the vids and what Trent provides. But my god is it excruciating to watch him golf
Just when I thought foreplay can’t get worse... then I heard that narrator
14:15 Frankie, on Number 5, when you hit your putt past the hole and down the hill, you should have taken an unplayable. Let's say that you hit your putt for par. If you took an unplayable, that would cost you one stroke and you would have the option to hit that same putt again for double bogey. That would have saved a ton of strokes if you hit that putt not as hard, and hit that shot from the bottom of the hill multiple times. This is how you can use the rules to your advantage to save strokes.
Great content! But Riggs just pull the choke when the cart won’t start up right away lol that little knob behind your left left in the cart. It’ll get it goin a lot faster haha
Awesome video!! Inspiration for my travels. Take it easy!
This course is amazing! If you have the chance, GO PLAY
I love this boys. Good stuff. Amazing golf course. If I am ever near there...it is a for sure.
y’all def need to play that course again... i played that course for the first time and shot 96... next time 74.. and then 76 the next... i’ll definitely be playing that once i go back to school
also fire the commentator... that shit gave me aids
Tobacco Road is a course that you either love or hate, that's it. No one I've ever taken there over the years has come away saying "Yeah, it was fine."
Just seeing this video for the first time. Played this place twice and it’s a highlight course in the area.
You should try Tot Hill Farm nearby designed by the same designer. That f’ing course is hard.
Tobacco is a walk compared to.
Love your channel.
You guys need to put in that red tracer after the ball is hit so we can follow the trajectory of the ball on hits.
‘Days ruined’ on hole one, that’s brutal hahah
Awesome video!!
Best part of barstool!!!!
Needs a love button. Good stuff guys.
Need to see more shots
I wish I could like this video a million times
Absolutely amazing video
loved the content and cant wait for more like it
Place looks incredible
Great video boys.....
Tobacco road is one of the best courses I’ve ever played
