I love pinball, of course, so this week's surprise drop of three new tables (seriously, I didn't know they were coming) was welcome indeed. Especially when it includes my favourite pinball table of all: Tales of the Arabian Nights.
In this video I take a quick look at the three tables, and reminisce about why two of the three - which I have had a long history with - are particularly appealing to me.
Thanks to Zen Studios I do believe I have my Christmas gaming sorted now!
Really nice pack! I mostly play Classic Arcade and so far I've played TotAN and it plays much easier than any of the Volume 4 tables, which for me is a negative thing. Either way, I'm still enjoying it.
It is a little easier, agreed! But its theme is just so, so good. I wish we had more games based on Arabian Nights
Over a year late, but still worth asking I guess... but you do know you can turn off the new animations and effects and play the authentic version too? I'm sure you do, but the way you mentioned it in the video sounded like you might not know.
I do know! I can't remember if I knew back when I recorded this video though, lol, so I may well have just got that wrong there :-).

The Aladdin cartoon is the one effort to do a fantasy Middle East in film in decades, that I can remember. The live-action film did everything it could to Americanise the fantasy and is an insult to the story of Aladdin as was written in 1001 Arabian Nights.
