Maybe the reason why SRP authors keep making mods more difficult is because there are still some mods that are easy to exploit. (Into The Maelstrom, Slash blade, Engender, So many enchantment etc.)
Maybe but most mods still wouldn't save you from The heavy hitters especially with the viral status effects. For the creatures we went over on this video a lot of mods can help you defeat them pretty easily but the enemies that are going to be in part three there are very few mods that will save you
Engender is a double edge sword, sure they can deal with low - med tier. But can also can spread the infection a whole lot plus doesn't save any of them from turning to incomplete forms no matter how much HP they got.
Finally, somebody else is putting into video what I've thought all along: 'Scape and Run: Parasites' is B*LLSH*T. I love the concept, but somehow this mod made a rapid all-consuming parasite unrealistic, for escalating too fast. There isn't even enough biomass to justify spawning all these high-tier parasites, so quickly. It doesn't feel like an emergent threat, you're just playing COD zombies, but it's the zombies zooming through and getting to higher rounds by killing things, not you. Really wish it was compatible with the 'Dragon Survival Mod' though, because I think the only chance you have is to literally become a fire-breathing dragon to defeat these things.
The only problem is even if you have something like 500 hearts there are some attacks especially some that we will go over in part 3 that will do over a 100 hearts of damage so even if you had that mod good luck. fun fact though the parasite mod is very buggy so it's kind of Hit or Miss but it is compatible at least someone with the ice and fire dragon mod that allows you to tame dragons and has them nest in different areas
Well an easy way to survive from the parasites to make ur base out of obsidian and all the parasites cannot break it though the enderman can tp into them. It would be hard to get the obsidia though u could use some mods
Keep in mind though you must make your base big and keep any fragile blocks away from the walls as some parasites can break blocks in a aoe of a few blocks
I had this mod on project zearth once (massive Minecraft city project) it turned the entire capital city into a wasteland and I had to escape using the cities rail network. All the buildings were turned into parasite blocks.Haven’t played since because it got too laggy
This mod is amazing, but I originally thought this mod was too difficult. Until I made these four simple changes [1.] Edit config to nerf certain mobs as well as increase drop rate for lure components. (You can also disable certain mobs) [2.] Use other mods such as "Altered Damage" "Flans Mod" and "Mc Heli Overdrive" (ported from 1.7.10) ( Altered damage lets you buff the player in the config file. ) [3.] Use "Scannable" to be able to locate parasites to neutralize them before they get stronger. [4.] Use lava buckets. A lot of lava buckets. And incendiary ammo, you name it.
Part of that is the problem you have cut off large parts of the mod to make it playable alongside they just nerfed lures very heavily when was the last time you played the mod? I'm asking because a lot has been added over time and without killing off a decent amount of features it doesn't feel all that playable
so ive been messing with the techguns source code to change some stuff for parasites - the concrete has a hardness value of 6, and the metal blocks should have a hardness of 8 adapated parasites (besides the bolster) should only be able to break blocks with a hardness up to 3 ... im not sure how they shredded through that carrier in the intro tbh
To be honest the best I can tell you is the parasite mod is spaghetti code along with the wiki not providing Accurate details on each thing in the mod which is part of the purpose for these videos there is a mod I believe called the pocket dimension mod that if you try to break any block in creative or otherwise it will not work they will just regenerate but the adapted long arms chews right through them so the parasite mod does not seem to interact very well with other mods
We haven't done extensive testing on it but it seems like the cheapest and easiest way to keep the parasites out is an obsidian box also nice job on pointing that out I never thought about it

My strat is to make multiple bases with good stuff in them so if my main base is overun I can retreat to my other base
Log day 17 base 882 has been demolished I'm running out of supplies and only have 200 more backup bases
