    Jawjattering! The farts in the tent decrease the resell value! Priceless humor. Spectacular views! I’m counting down the weeks until I hit the trail in Oregon next year.

    I learned another new medical term from Nurse Julia this video... Extra Fluidyesque Knees... I might finally be able to have a meaningful communication with an orthopedist.... LOL 🤣.
    Stay safe and keep reaching for the peaks!

    Hiking with buddies seems like so much fun. I can see the advantage over solo hiking.

    Absolutely love your videos. Very entertaining and your commentary is hilarious. Just thought I would relate a short story to you about the addiction of thru hiking. I was watching your video with my daughter and looked at her and said " I think I'm taking Tevas for camp shoes on my next thru hike instead of crocs". She looked at me with such a disgusted look and said" you'll be 70 years old in 5 months, you have Lyme Disease and use a walker to walk. What the fuck dad?"

    Was thinking of you this weekend, (June 11-12). High winds and rain here in South Lake Tahoe. Gusts 30-50mph at lake level and forecast to 100mph on the peaks and passes. I know you are several days ahead of your videos but I'm thinking you still got some of it. Hope you stayed safe!

    The rate the snow is slowing you down I wonder if I'll see you in the Three Sister Wilderness on July 6 when I'm there. If I miss you I'll toast you at Obsidian Falls. Hike on!

    By the time you get this you should be getting somewhere near Burney or Castle crags. This means you are out of the snow. Yea! Oregon has had a very wet spring, as you get up to northern California and southern Oregon maybe think about some mosquito 🦟 repellent. We have saying up here that the mosquitos mate with the ducks.

    glissading down dicks huh, thats a huge cornice as it melts it will become unsafe to stand at the top, to other hikers avoid standing near a cornice they can collapse. this area is my jam. its way different with flowers and lakes. cool to see it all frozen.

    Julia , im fixing to start my planning of a through hike, by the time I'm ready to toss my packnon and go ,ill be 56.....not counting miles, not counting views ,not counting hitting a town every cpl days ,but counting the ease of trail .....what is your thoughts? Which trail would be the easiest of the 3 in those regards?

      In her recent "Halfway Q&A video" the answer comes out in fragments, but at the very end she explicitly says the PCT is what she would recommend as someone's first thru-hike, it's the most do-able. That fits what I've seen in other hikers' video series, the AT has a lot of grueling trail terrain, and the CDT has more special challenges.

    How far back did you record this? I'm seeing you in the snow and I'm wondering if these videos are a couple of months old or maybe only a few days and there's still snow there in June.

      They are traveling with “Sam and Moriah”, their You Tube video title, who have more current videos, they are all past Lassen now. They seem to be the first through hikers, or at least that are doing videos, they don’t seem to come across any other hikers.

    • @blueboats7530

      Weeks, not months or days. Anyway there is still snow in the Tahoe area here in June, at the higher elevations in this video.

    Any regrets starting early in the season?

    • @jls935
      @jls935  2 роки тому +1

      Nope! Everything has kind of worked out perfectly! We had mild desert heat, low sierra snow, no mosquitoes in the sierra either. The only challenge was the snow north of mammoth- sierra city. And we should be ahead of the wildfires if they happen!

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos! We have been watching since day one and have followed you all along. However, we find your language so unladylike and so vulgar that it is making us have to reconsider if you want to continue to watch. We really wish that you would not use such offensive language so that we could continue to follow your videos and your journey all the way to Canada. You truly are a joy to watch otherwise.
