Common Lizard found on Dollymount Beach

I found this little common lizard on my walk today, looks like he lost his tail in a fight. The common lizard is Ireland's only reptile, see link below:

Wow, not it's normal habitat I'd say?

He was getting washed out by the tide so I grabbed him out of the water and put him back in the sand dunes. I've never seen one on the beach/island before but I do believe they are plentiful there.
