I cannot explain how hyped this segment got me when I realised that invaders must die had just started playing. Like. As someone who absolutely adores the Prodigy, and this song in particular, I felt unstoppable hitting pretty much every single note perfectly on the beat while comboing off of enemies and getting some of the highest scores I had in the entire game. If they ever make a sequel or dlc for this game there had better be another section which goes as hard as this, cos I don't think I've had this much fun with a videogame in years.

This game is just like NSR: No Straight Roads but with that classic old cartoony feel from out childhood. The simple, cool art style, colors that just pop, character designs that looking unique and detailed. Man, wish I could play this.
This game is No Straight Roads on steroids. While NSR stages are to the beat and music, literally EVERYTHING in Hi-Fi Rush from Chai's idle animations to everything in the bacground is to the beat. No Straight Roads walked so Hi-Fi Rush could run.

Invaders Must Die fits in so many games, not just Hi-Fi and WipEout. The lyrics work for Halo and Duke Nukem, while the actual song is great for arena shooters like Quake and Dusk
What’s even funnier, is that it’s explained that the robots compost whatever they eat. So my guess is that when the humans are done eating, the robots come in, cook up whatever’s about to expire, and just eat it. It’s a silly joke, but they actually went to the trouble of making it part of the game’s universe.
It was actually at this point that I realized just how badly I was playing the game up to this point because while I liked the music, I wasn't really syncing with it as much as I should, but when this song came on I couldn't help but to sync my attacks better with it just because of how much I love this song.
I’m glad Xbox shadow dropped that game because Sunset Overdrive was an excellent game that was overshadowed by a lot of Xbox negativity. This game is fun, beautiful, charming, & outright amazing. This is definitely a GOTY contender & I encourage anyone to just give it a try.
