This was a godsend. My 2002 Chrysler Town & Country had this problem. The part, (I got it on Amazon from ShopWiseAuto): Airtex Combo Dimmer, Wiper, Turn Signal Switch 1S2897. Cost $58 including shipping and works like a charm. Thanks for doing this vid, saved me a bundle.
Thank you. You saved me a lot of money. I ordered the switch specific to my car from an auto parts store. It cost me $102 plus tax. But I see generic ones online for about $20. I wonder if it would have been worth the risk to get one of those instead.
@twodollarjomo Follow the Haynes manual and pull the airbag fuse then airbag connectors. Takes maybe 3 minutes first time. Then tilt the steering wheel all the way down and remove the top steering column cover by putting your thumb above the wiper stalk and popping it up. Hardest part is making sure to depress the horn pin in the switch when reinstalling, because if you do not you can bend the pin and possibly bend the signal cam cancel ring ($30 plus 3 hours labor).
That is a problem I'm having right now I'm wondering if that's what I need to do I almost think there is a piece inside somewhere that's broken. I know this post was made a long time ago but if you're still on here let me know how yours turned out
Yeah but where do you get a new one? It cost $250 to order that part. I am trying to find a fix for super cheap. What about the air bad is it dangerous if you don't disable it?
i have a olds alero 2003 shop say about $500 switch and labor, if its that easy how do i disable airbag, part at auto store $120 and do i have to disable it ? thanks
You know I put in for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and what I thought I was looking at was a Pontiac Grand Am Not a 2006 Chrysler Minivan not the same totally different who knows maybe comes about the same but different models different different. And I'm looking for the model of the Grand Am of how to take apart so why do they put shit like this in here for and where'd it the wrong way word capital letters word it the wrong way piracy it didn't listen to me it's Google for you

if a 1999 dodge ram turn signals go off after awhile is that a symptom of a bad relay?
what about on a 98 chevy taho do i have to disable the airbag?
That outro! 🤣🤣
I've changed my bulbs my relay do you think that it can be the switch that's causing my blinker to blink fast
Thanks looks the same as my 06 Dodge Caravan
Hey Duane,
I have a 94 F-150. Do I have to pull the wheel or is it simular to this model? Thanks. Keep giving us these great video's
wow that is supper easy. I need to do that on my 1980 vette Hope it's that easy. but man that turn signal lever is expensive.
I have a Chrysler minivan do I have to disable airbag?!
Should I disconnect the car battery beforehand?
I got a clicking sound coming from the turn signal switch when I turn my wheel. Does the entire piece need to be replaced?

Wow! That was almost easier that fillings the gas tank
and they charge you 300 for that shit. I fixed mine today on Toy camry and yes I had to remove the air bag. It was 1 hour job and well worth my time.
yes I'm replacing mine but my wiring thing is all tore up the place that plugs into the switch is messed up can I replace it with off of another Dodge
Where did you find your info on removing the airbag power.
Thank you
Thanks
You do not show the switch itself
i don't need a stupid lever to turn signal on my car
perfect
