So many memories from my youth. Visiting the shops on the first day they open and riding our bikes down the dual carriage way of a night after the workmen had gone home, before it was open both sides :-)
Grew up and lived around here from the early sixties, brings back memories of how it used to be, Before the new shops, there was one here facing on the old A5 run by the Kendricks, I think they went to live later in Deakin Ave. We used to play football on the new A5 when the workers had gone before it opened. In one of the old terraced buildings in the film was a veg shop and on a Friday if I remember rightly was a chippy. Good old days.
