You mean a club owned by an absolute monarchy has a problem dealing within a framework of democracy? We’re shocked!
Oddsjet that’s the comment sir 🙌🏽
It's not a democracy tho. That's the problem.
@@spark556 why not? Clubs have to vote
@spark556 it is 14 clubs have to agree to any rules I suppose City just want the big 6 to do what they want
@0xmoo the rules within that democracy aren't very democratic though are they? .."the Premier league telling other people you can spend X or else you will be punished" a Democracy should if you have money you can invest in whatever you want as long as you can prove you have that money .. people stay the Premier league is becoming boring and it was better in 90s and 2000s the only thing that's changed is the laws on spending the Premier league was great when Chelsea came in and spend a fortune and stopped it being a 2 horse race every year same as Blackburn in 95 don't we want a competitive league ? Imagine you had 6 or 7 teams being able to build a squad spending however much they want to challenge City ?
The bottom line is that whichever way this 115 goes the Prem League are a disgrace for how long all this has taken...
Unlike Laliga who took more than 14 years to free Barcelona of bribery charges? 💀
They've had to make a cast iron. water tight case because City have a million lawyers.
Remember it was first a UEFA case that run out of time and City was able to walk away, If not for this case the League would have taken action against City a few years ago.
I've never understood this argument, it's City's fault it's taken this long, not the EPL. City have been blocking and not cooperating at every single turn, plus it's 115 charges, 115.... The EPL didn't wrack that up, City did. Stop blaming the EPL for taking so long when the sheer scale of cheating was unprecedented.

You guys all running with these Mr Borson agendas is getting ridiculous now. If you listened carefully you would hear on this vid, he clearly stated his opinion was that he thinks City are going to lose this case against the EPL. He also said that the only info he knows of this recent event is from a leak from a newspaper! Where did he justify what city are doing?
Everton and Forest breaching FFP is an open and shut case. I believe both clubs agreed that they had breached and so it was just about the punishment. Thats very easy to establish the outcome and to make judgements in comparison to this City case. The difference being City are denying the charges, and like Stefan said in this video, what city are being accused of is the worst case of offence you can commit. Falsifying accounts! Which is much harder to prove. So let’s stop being big softies because our clubs are involved and doing the whole victim act. Let the man give his expert opinion
Why doesn't City just get sponsorship from somewhere else?
Oh right, they can't because they don't have fans outside Manchester

What annoys me the most as an English football fan is the idea of them not accepting the democratic nature of the premier league and country. Even though they themselves signed up to it and have benefitted from that system themselves when voting for other rule changes

You really think juniors, which definitely are much larger in number than the people of your position or your seniors, will vote for your higher salary than them juniors?
And democracy is higher number of votes like more than 50% in case of choosing between 2 options or even less if more options, but not 70% of votes. That's literally tyrannical.
That's City's point.
@@deepakpandey8240 I understand the point but it’s completely irrelevant.

The UAE themselves were apart of the ‘Tyranical majority’ during that decision!
How do you not see the hypocrisy in this??
If the UAE have decided they no longer like the democratic voting process (now that it no longer suits them) they should leave. Simple. Sell Man City and buy a club in a division that has a rule setting system that you prefer.
It’s like me moving from the UK to the UAE, and then moaning about their tax system and trying to sue them and say how unfair it is. Do you see how silly it is? If I don’t like it I should just leave!

The next season if they get say 90pts in the PL they start in the Championship on -410 pts, get 100pts, then relegated to LG1 on -310pts, then 100pts again, relegated to LG2 on -210pts, 100pts again relegated to National League on -110pts, 100pts again relegated to national league North on 10pts, then they can start climbing again

You cant look at the 115 charges separately because this legal argument will likely be used to delay the verdict on those charges as the parts relate.

Funnily enough that villa can’t get a good front of shirt sponsor but Newcastle managed to get very easily a 20m sponsor just off getting top 4, the very best a non top 6 club has ever gotten was Everton at 12m even Leicester after getting the title didn’t get close to it
Nah Leicester we’re getting £12 million from King Power then FSB took over and paid more though the sum wasn’t disclosed Leicester described it as record amount
State ownership of clubs is the most toxic thing to ever happen to the premier league since its formation. You cannot have an international country representing and funding a uk region for political reasons. I know the city fans love it, buts its a major poison chalis and its ruining football. In the future, we'll all look back on the abu dhabi investment as the beginning of the end
Yeah, and American jews owning clubs is all well. Saddle the club with debt and invest zero. So good!
Do you challenge rules before or after you break them?
Are the legal costs from this case being born by the club or Sheikh Mansoor directly, I am thinking they will run into many many millions possibly even more than that, if its the club paying there own legal fees this could have a direct PSR impact on City in future seasons?
Well, when a club has won a 4peat and post record revenues every year, maybe they can afford all the lawyers in the world. Just maybe
@@stanleye9721 what has that got tp do with anything, my question regardless of if they can afford it or not is who is footing the legal bill from a PSR perspective if your struggling to understand the question don't post stupid responses as you look like an idiot.

You make it sound like the investigation has come post charges and the Premier League have to investigate because City were charged 😂
The Premier League brought the charges after their own investigation.
Reason sponsorships is hard to get is cuz of greedy players and agents, wages and costs are so high now that clubs want more sponsorship money and big companies don’t want to pay the big money clubs want…sooner there’s a drop in tv money or at least it’s stable then wages are going to have to start doing same or players can go off to Saudi if they prefer money over their “love of the game”
In many tech businesses, sponsors have to tell marketplaces what their intentions and purposes are when making deals - but not for each specific vendor they're working with. I guess football's a little different. 😅
Why u keep getting this fella on? Hes clearly biased. City need expelling from the league

high quality stuff, very informative
The day Man City get relegated from the Premier, the entire football world will know justice was served, except a tiny section of the city of Manchester who are too biased to see what their ownership has done to make a mockery of this league.
Sorry Man City but you'll always be a club no one cares about. You will never enter the conversation of great clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Man U. regardless of how many cups you buy.
Smaller clubs like Everton get smashed with point deductions while you win trophies in a league you should've been relegated from. That's why, in the end, when it's all said and done, your titles will always be covered in doubt and shame, regardless of what happens in court with those 115 charges.

Why would it put off sponsors? All it means is that there are limits to how much they are allowed to pay, so they will inevitably get a better deal, if anything.
if they're investing presumably they think football is a gold value growing market... they'll be investing at market rates set by independent bodies.. so what's the problem then?
How about charging the fans the same for season tickets, and have the same transfer and wage budget . Thats fair , dead simple !
"PL can't prove that clubs get an unfair advantage from APT's"
Isn't Man City themselves the proof?
Let’s get it straight.. this is what happens when state owned football clubs are allowed. The government have already met Abu Dhabi representatives and have attempted to help them brush it under the carpet saying it would be bad for relations between countries. Clown show

If all the other clubs want to only stop city’s success, why weren’t United charged through such collusion in the past? Why are Bayern and PSG still in existence?
Let’s not be ridiculous in our arguments.
Why now ,why not in February when the new rules came in?nothing to do with 115 charges 🤔
The PL will summon the other clubs as witness's. Also all clubs each season have to sign up to the PL rules to take part in the competition.
The PL opened the door for foreign investors years ago now they want to backtrack no way. You can't eat your cake and have it
Completely agree
When you're a state run club and break the rules, try tonget the rules abolished. This is the best their lawyers can come up with.
The rules didn't exist before they took over. The rules seem to target them the most and changed when others hit the ceiling. The rule they are actually challenging came in 2021.
@@rakimrobinsonMCFC you didn't even know city existed in 2008
I mean man city have been dominating English football for 10 years and they still aren't happy??
It's not about any of the rules that were in place in the last 10 years, it's not even about the ones that were rushed in, in 2021(APT) as a knee-jerk reaction to the Newcastle takeover. It's about the recent *updates to the APT regulations,* announced in February 2024. City made an official statement that they would be challenging them legally if they attempted to put them in place(possibly wanted amendments?) and that's where we are now. City may not have liked some of the rules introduced since 2011 or voted all of them in but they never challenged them legally. So this is different and people should view it as such. So unlike with all the other rules which were either aimed directly at stifling their growth or future clubs like them, City must have felt something in this latest set of updates was a step too far(legally so at that). Also, if the PL/it's members are attempting to introduce rules which are discriminatory and/or contravene anti-competition laws, then a majority vote would become irrelevant. They'd be attempting to enforce unlawful rules and the PL would deserve punishment/fines etc. I don't see why the times placed so much focus on a small line of text as if the whole case was built around the fact that they don't agree with a majority vote(very doubtful as Stefan said, context could be key and help us make more sense of it).... Oh wait a minute, the UK press covering a City story? Of course we know why he placed so much focus, on the one thing that would paint City's legal complaint in the worst possible light. It's what they always do. Newcastle fans are only beginning to get a small taste of what it's like now and they're viewing the City coverage in a different light already. Shame that's what it takes for anyone to truly look at things objectively.
ps - Wasn't it said to be 100+ of pages? Why aren't we questioning who leaked it? How come only one journalist got to see it and why did one of the member clubs leak it? They've put the PL at further legal risk and should be subject to charges themselves... Both sides are bound by confidentiality laws on this(especially the PL), which is why City weren't silly enough to comment or offer any further info.
That's correct the minute you settle for something the drive is gone
City were at war with UEFEA now the PL. Seems to be a pattern here.
And they won that case went on to win the competition.
