I'm ready for Acuna to get it going. Strange to watch him "struggle" at all after last season. Only a week in, i know, but strange nevertheless.
Not worried about Max at all. He'll be fine. Sucks for Strider though. Absolutely hate it for someone who works so hard to do everything right to stay healthy.
Also, Sale has been good so far. I fully expect him to be great before the season is done.

Bull pen looks really solid. Happy for Austin Riley for the insurance HR. So far so good apart from the struggles of our ace pitchers.

Awesome weekend! Swept the Diamondbacks. Not so good news about Strider. Hope Max can figure it out. Chris was very good.

This timing may not be the best but can someone please tell me what in the world happened in peoples minds coming into the season that suddenly saw people downgrade Max Fried's Ace status? He has been the undisputed ace for a handful of years now. The guy who took the mound for the most important game Braves game in some 25 years, Game 6 of the World Series. Yes he had injury problems last year but had been durable before that, but even when he came back last year he was absolutely lights out. Mad Max at his best as usual. Believe me I understand how nasty Strider is but he's still very new and let's get serious here yes he had 20 wins but nearly a 4 era. Only one of them has proven he can lock it down in the playoffs. I'm ok with co-aces but Max Fried has earned that 1A spot and if anyone thinks he wont figure this out and get back on track they havent nbeen paying attention. Who knows maybe this early struggles and Striders elbow trouble will entice both Anthoupolos and him to sign that extension the Braves so desperately need.
Speaking of that I still am scratching my head at the fact apparently they were willing to pay Aaron Nola about what the Phillies paid him. So how on Earth is he worth that but Fried isnt? It's not that Nola and Fried aren't in the same league, they aren't from the same planet. All I can imagine is Fried is likely to cost a bit more .because otherwise I don't get it. To spend all this money on locking up all this young talent on offense and then turn around and not keep your Ace and handicap the team makes no sense. If Morton is worth 20 mil a year can they really not bring themselves to pay Max 25 or so? The difference is like what a older bench bat cost

Watching Sundays game, the D-backs looked deflated after those 2 demoralizing defeats from the nights before... They still have a dang good team however.... Go Braves...

The only semi/small/"first world problem" concern for this team offensively is Ronald's start to the year. Hasn't come close to going deep yet and is just not seeing the ball well from where I sit and watch. Striking out a lot more than last year.

We're only talking 8 games. Last year several had concerns with him after the first month since he only hit 4 homeruns and just wasn't hitting for any power. Heck he had an 8 game stretch in April where his ISO was only a mear .030 and his overall offensive production was clear down. I mean I could even mention Marcell Ozuna, and his struggles in April. First world problem as you said, maybe at best.

I really wish we could have put off the Starter-Palooza crap until a few months in, but maybe it's a good thing. We seem to be in transition with our rotation more and more every season; AA seems to have this high up on the priority list. Pitching is fickle.

Well the great thing about last year's revolving door of 5th starters is we now have a metric ton of minor league arms with big league experience including an all star

Great game for the braves. The news about strider is disheartening. Without him in the lineup, there goes our chances for winning the world series.
