He gave them nearly another 4 scoreless innings after they batted around and scored 6 in the 1st. Along with the bullpen later giving this historic offense time to go to work. Even the high and mighty Dodgers lineup cant compare 1-9 to the Braves. After this was and is still the same offense that tied* the season HR record last year and became the only team to ever slug .500 in a season (a slugging percentage by the way only a very small number of the very best players in baseball did last year individually let alone as a whole team) (* because let's be honest the 4 previous highest totals were all set the same year 2019 the juiced ball year before that no team had even cracked 280!) Max Fried certainly didn't. Not many pitchers would not only be able to but would want to continue on in a game after that. He could have easily called it a night, not risked his ERA and said he'd try again next time but nope. He gave them nearly another 4 scoreless innings after they batted around and scored 6 in the 1st. Along with the bullpen later giving this historic offense time to go to work. Even the high and mighty Dodgers lineup cant compare 1-9 to the Braves. After this was and is still the same offense that tied* the season HR record last year and became the only team to ever slug .500 in a season (a slugging percentage by the way only a very small number of the very best players in baseball did last year individually let alone as a whole team) (* because let's be honest the 4 previous highest totals were all set the same year 2019 the juiced ball year before that no team had even cracked 280!) This lineup never quits and I'm not positive Marcell Ozuna even has a pulse. So yeah the Diamondbacks (the NL pennant winner last year) again just looked shell shocked (reminds me of the cubs late last year) when the Braves did the same to them late..
