    I love Cloud Defensive. The Chicro is pretty much the same as the streamlight. My streamlight has been doing great, so no need to replace.

    Had a Chicro. The Chicro switching between high and low every time it's turned on is unacceptable. How much would it have cost to include proper output selection?

    The chicro is garbage. The one I got overheated when it was on for more than 10 min at a time and died completely after a few weeks. Replaced it with a Streamlight.

      Microstream is only 250 lumens. You're confusing it with the Macrostream which has 500 Lumens.
      The Chicro is the same footprint as the Microstream but has 100 more lumens.

      @@BassJunkie200 I carry a Trustfire L2 which is nearly dimensionally identical to the Chirco, and is 1000 lumens. It is also about the same price on Amazon. It absolutely blows the Chirco's doors off. I've been carrying one for 3 years EDC, and it's still going strong.
      Time for you to upgrade.

    They did an interview a while back with a bunch of navy seals and specifically their weapons and attachments. They pretty much unanimously said they try to run no cables or as least as possible to prevent from accidentally pushing the buttons and giving away their positions and to avoid melted wires or a spider web of cables etc. Basically what I am asking is can you remove the cable on these lights and just run the clicky tail cap and does it come with that option?

    Hello again, Caleb! Great video, I like your simple, straightforward explanations of your products! Also, what is your opinion of using 3 In 1 oil for firearms? My Grandparents swore by it, Granny for her foot powered Singer sewing machine and Grandpa for his .22 rifle, he used mostly at hog killing time, and "possum" hunting with his cattle dog! Thanks, Caleb!

    So… these are at a price point approaching Surefire Scout lights. I understand that you don’t typically do product comparisons on this channel, but I would need a good reason to consider a weapon light at this price point rather than step up to a Surefire. TBH Streamlight ProTac HL-X is about half the cost of these Cloud Defensive lights and 1/3 the cost of a Surefire M640DFT (after getting a tail cap with push button and tape switch). Is the HL-X a little chunky with a crappy mounting solution for the tape switch? Yes… but I struggle with the idea of putting $300, let alone $500, into a light for a rifle. Especially when I might have more than one. A $500-1,000 optic OTOH is a better allocation of funds to me. YMMV

      @@Valorius all I'm saying is I really like them. The OWL has some really impressive specs, especially in the candela department, and is built like a tank to boot, and the Chicro is just a really great pocket light, also very bright on its high-candela mode for what it is and having a USB-C input built in makes it really convenient to charge the battery. All of this is with Cloud's excellent customer service and warranty, they're a great company and are someone I have no problem pointing people towards.
      Hopefully my elaboration was good enough for you, o wise and great Valorius lol

It’s cheaper as well since it comes with everything you need. I use the 18650 on (optic set ups) my 13.9” and longer and the 18350 on my 11.5” (Red dot set ups)

    Interesting to note, Chinese marketing measures lumens a bit differently than American manufacturers. They measure lumen in a stand alone, outside the device condition, American stuff is typically measured while operating in the device. Big difference. That's why a 200 lumen Streamlght is brighter than a 1000 lumen Chinese light.

    • @Valorius
      @Valorius 13 днів тому +2

      I test lots of flashlights on my channel from numerous companies. This is a completely nonsensical and false statement.
      I'll give you an example: I have 2 surefire G2X's that i've had for years. Every light I have, chinese or otherwise, in the same lumen range or higher, is either as bright, or significantly brighter than it. I tested the new Olight PL3 mini, which is an absolutely tiny light: and it is brighter than both my G2X's.
      Your comment is either pure ignorance, an outright lie, or just massive copium.
